If MJ was addicted to demoral, why wasn`t it in his system in the autopsy?

B and G   November 7th, 2011 1:08 pm ET

A few recent callers on In Session feel Dr, Murray is NOT guilty because MJ was an addict. That is irrelevant.

If you are employed and your boss demands that you do something illegal and you are caught by the police, does that mean that you are not responsible since you were performing the illegal activity because your boss demanded you do it or you would lose your job?

Boy, if that works, every defendant would claim that someone else made them do it and that gives them immunity?

Dr, Murray may have lost his position with MJ if he had denied him the propofol but to agree was the CHOICE of Dr. Murray and THAT makes him responsible.

I would rather lose my employment than lose my ethics. Obviously, Dr. Murray made the choice to lose his ethics and now he must lose his freedom and license.

Shari Johnston   November 7th, 2011 1:36 pm ET

I believe that Dr. Klein is not telling the whole truth. I have watched his body movements during his interview with Jean and his eyes were very shift.

Mary Lattimer   November 7th, 2011 1:39 pm ET

QUESTION: Did Dr. Murry tape Jackson on drugs to prove to him that he was taking too many drugs? Could that be the reason he ordered so much popofal-to help wean him off the side effects of demerol that made it so difficult for Jackson to get to sleep? As a person who has had insomia all my life I know that we will do anything to get something to help us sleep. The only desire is SLEEP no matter what the consequenses. He could have opened the drip and given himself an overdose. He wouldn't have to get out of bed to do this. Murry is guilty of neglect-not murder.

Jeanna   November 7th, 2011 1:49 pm ET

there was a comment that made an excellent point if Michael Jackson was addicted to Demerol they would've most definitely found it in his system at autopsy because addicts must have the drug they are addicted to in their system. So why wasn't it in Michael Jackson's system they found almost every other drug on the market in his system most administered by Dr. Murray.

Janet   November 7th, 2011 1:49 pm ET

If Dr.Murray was not hiding "evidence" in a black bag when the paramedic went back upstairs while Michael Jackson was being wheeled to the ambulance, then what excuse is there that he was not following Jackson's body down the stairs to the ambulance? His actions does not reflect a personal physician's normal behavior.

Donna   November 7th, 2011 1:55 pm ET

Conrad Murray is GUILTY!. the truth of the matter is Murray ordered the supply of Propofol, he gave the anesthesia in an abnormal setting, he left the patient unattended while he tends to his personal business and his mistresses. He clearly violate his Oath as a physician. He sign on for the $$$,. If he was a responsible physician, he would have said No, and advise his patient of other alternatives for his problems. He is a doctor so I am sure he knew the risk, he gambled with his patient life and he loss. The jury has to send a CLEAR message that this type of medical practice is unacceptable in this U.S.A.,

Barbara Petrie   November 7th, 2011 1:58 pm ET

GUILTY: The one thing that stands out in my mind is Propoflo is only to be used in a hospital enviroment. When Dr. Murry made the decision of taking it out of a hospital enviroment and thus into a private home makes him guilty!!! Take responsibilty for your actions Dr. Murry. Where is you Medical common sense?

Randy Geames   November 7th, 2011 2:00 pm ET

Sounds to me MJ was playing all these doctors agianst one another, than he went out and hired his own to keep at his house, I think Dr. Murray is guilty of reckless but not of causing the death. MJ knew what he wanted and was going to get it one way or another. Even one of MJ's brother said that Dr. Murray was a fall guy, and we know MJ lied he told a iMartin Sheer in a interview he has never had anything done to his face only his nose, Dr. Klien say's different.

Shari Johnston   November 7th, 2011 2:19 pm ET

Ooh my gosh the verdict is in. I hope and pray that Dr. Murray is not found guilty.

janet   November 7th, 2011 2:20 pm ET

Oh Yes, I believe it is a horrible thing we lost Michael Jackson.Just as it is that we lost Elvis. BUT both these men caused their own deaths by their OWN use of drugs. Michael had several different names under which he could obtain drugs. Elvis had body guards bringing him drugs. Michael had a doctor trying to keep his addition under supervision and now folks want to put the doctor in jail for
trying to keep this talented young man safe. NoOne tried to put Elvis's body guards in jail. Did they kill Elvis ...Elvis killed himself as did
Michael Jackson !!!!

Zayda Truitt   November 7th, 2011 2:28 pm ET

Guilty it have to be , plenty reason to be guilty, ( this is it ) Michael is in the world heart.... he is not coming back... but Dr Murray he is guilty to many broken rules as a Dr... only 1 thing in his mind and to my belief $$$$$$$ is not easy but as a DR, you need to take control, and know your work.

Len   November 7th, 2011 2:44 pm ET

I agree! Mr Murry is Guilty!! Not of manslaughter but rather Murder in the second degree. He is A liscensed Dr he knew what could happen or should have before taking the actions he did. Every action he took was contrary to his training and education. He could not administer CPR any better than a third grader. I could list all of his errors but those above have done a good job. But, if he had been a street pusher (i contend that infact he is) the charge would be 2nd degree murder.
by the way , food for thought: what is the term that describes a medical student at the bottom of his graduating class with GPA one point above failing? The answer is DOCTOR!! what happens to these doctors when no established medical facility will hire them? They practice on the fringes of society. A good doctor would not work as a personal physician for a single client for a couple of hundred grand a year! They could be making much more elsewhere. Also, I doubt MJ was able to pay Murray very much at all, probably less than 100k. just an observation.

dj howard   November 7th, 2011 2:55 pm ET

It is sad and I too hate it that MJ has died. But for a few years there the media dogged MJ so much with his child molesting charges and then him dangling his baby from a hotel room which helped to make him what he was. He had a drug problem as so many of our young people today but I don't see any drug dealers charged with murder as they should be. Dr. Conrad was in an unfortunate situation.

Zayda Truitt   November 7th, 2011 2:57 pm ET

Dr... Murray tape Jackson , i ask myself why, and them he order Propofol it don't make any sense, he is guilty and he know that. give me a break... not 911 call, he lie to the police, the hospital, family, friends, he was to busy on the phone trying to keep up with his gf's...This is it!!!!!!!!Guilty...... justice for Michael and his family...

Bonnie   November 7th, 2011 3:19 pm ET

Yes Michael Jackson was a musical genius but he was a drug addict way before Dr Murray came into the picture. Everybody is in denial, his family, his kids. No one took it upon themselves to stop him or get him help. So we'll make an example out of Murray and he'll stay at home with an ankle bracelet on.

Oh by the way, he detoxed from Demerol, remember he went home from rehearsal. Like detoxing from heroin and than shooting up again.

Don't be deceived thinking that this person walked on water because he was talented. Our kids need to know WHO to use as role models and it sure isn't Mickey Jackson.

D/Trail   November 7th, 2011 3:25 pm ET

This is it go to jail murray !!! Needs to be 4 LIFE NOT 4 YEARS......

Ramona Schmitz   November 7th, 2011 3:27 pm ET

Please find Doctor Guilty

D/Trail   November 7th, 2011 3:29 pm ET

Klein didn't kill Michael J Jackson... C Murray did why does people keep bringin him up right now to take heat off murray some or what ? take care of murray first.

Ramona Schmitz   November 7th, 2011 3:30 pm ET

I can't believe the emotions I feel by just hearing that the verdict is in. I can't even imagine what the Jackson's are feeling. I hope the verdict is guilty. I live in Kansas and wish I could be there.

Donna   November 7th, 2011 4:00 pm ET

Im listening to Dr. Drew on HLN. Perhaps I did not pay full attention to Dr. Klein early this morning. But from what I heard, Dr. Klein said when he did the procedure to his face, that it was painful, so he required the use of Demerol. I dont think I heard, Dr. Klein said MJ was coming to his office, to get a prescription. My understanding is that it was for the use during minor surgical proedure. Not defending Dr. Klein, but he has his medical records, Murray have naught.

There's nothing going to bring back Micheal Jackson, but his memories will last a life time.If Micheal had his personal Dr.for his needs, well what ever. Jackson ordered his Doctor wz there for him..All I can say is I wiSh him the best, and I'm not a legal analist to judge him..Keep Jackson live in different wyz and let people make there own dicisions .ITS A FREE COUNTRY....when. I think Micheal Jackson ,good memories come to mind, let him rest , and keep him alive in our minds...from California's

Annie   November 7th, 2011 4:41 pm ET

Justice has been served for Michael Jackson, his children and the Jackson family. Do we feel sad for Poor Conrad Murray?? NO WAY.. We all have lost MJ and I pray that he now rest in peace. We the people must show the LOVE as Michael would want us too....

TTPilot   November 7th, 2011 5:06 pm ET

This is sad. Justice not been served. C Murray is scapegoat and even though MJ was the greatest entertainer of all time he was abusing prescription drugs and Dr Murray took the fall b/c of someone famous.
This is tragic for all C Murray's patients now will be w/o a caring Dr.

a.provost   November 7th, 2011 5:35 pm ET

doctor cm found guilty maybe other doctors will think twice before they do something so reckless.

Wayne Deja   November 7th, 2011 7:08 pm ET

Once again....the American way....always blame someone else.....Micheal Jackson killed Micheal Jackson....Dr.Murray should lose his med license, but he's not a killer....

ernest pacheco   November 7th, 2011 7:41 pm ET

...can someone please tell me why Dr. Klein is not being brought up on charges for administering MJ with so much demerol that ultimately led to MJ's addiction problems? this doctor has to be summoned to a california court to answer questions why he gave MJ so much demerol if Mj truly is to have justice.

vaughn   November 7th, 2011 8:15 pm ET

I believe that Donna is right. Conrad Murray signed up for a bunch of money and blew it in the process. His defense team tried saying that the prosecution didn`t tell it all, well they didn`t have to. Murray told it all in his own police statements. All in a nut shell, he cut his own throat with nobodies help but his own. He got what he deserved and is lucky that it will be only 4 years. Michael Jacksons kids and family got LIFE!!!

jbugjones   November 8th, 2011 2:24 pm ET

I am very happy about the verdict. This man clearly killed Michael Jackson. I agree with what the Judge allowed and what he did not allow in this case. This case was about Conrad Murray and not Michael Jackson's habits. I disagree with Dr. White when he says Conrad Murray should practice again, this man is dangerous and he can and will easily practice the same malpractices he did with Michael Jackson. I agree with the Judge in denying bond and this man should at least taste the inside of the jail, for what he did. Conrad Murray knew exactly what he was doing he just did not think he would get caught and that the guy would die and he did not think because he carried the Doctor title that he would be found guilty. Cudos to the jury and the prosecutor, Murray knew there would be consequences but the chose the wrong path anyway. I f you recall, his father practiced and could no longer write prescriptions because of his wrong doings..but never prosecuted. He should never ever be allowed to practice on this earth again but somehow I believe Texas will allow it, since he only has a low-income clientel.

Teresa   November 8th, 2011 2:52 pm ET

The body guards and staff there at the house said MJ left the house to see Klein a dermatologist everyday they drove him there are there records that he was there everyday?. Hello isnt that strange to anyone????

D/Trail   November 9th, 2011 12:11 am ET

Why does people keep sayin house arrest ?, The Judge said it was a HOMICIDE !!! So it was a violent crime and Murray should go to jail for the max 4 years 2 bad not for longer. Murray had his fair trial now off to jail where he belongs. Jurors deliberated for ten hours and should have thinks for all their hard work in making this correct verdict !!
To all the lucky fans that got to surround the courthouse good goin for showin your love for the king of pop rock, kids, fans and family. Think if all his fans from all across the world could've made it there :} The mindless ones gettin paid by murray wouldn't been able to stand there for the killer . Murray is a danger to the public so they should keep him in there for the max he could do this to your dad if he gets out then make another movie about your dad and how he killed him
I loved it when they handcuffed him so we could all watch thats what anybody else would've got why should a doctor be any different
The jury knew Murray was not a scapegoat they seen his lies and what all he kept from everybody No appeal is what I say he killed the true king MJJ !!!! NEVER be another ...........

Anna   November 9th, 2011 9:54 pm ET

not only does it making him guilty because he agreed to give him the demerol, but the actions he took during the that night were completely not appropriate as a doctor!! Michael may have been addicted to other drugs, but This doctor is guilty in every way!! Im glad they found him guilty!! now if he just serves his full time!!

Juney7   December 5th, 2011 11:30 pm ET

Murray needs to stay in the slammer for as long as the law allows. This bogus filing of an appeal is his attempt to get out on bond "pending appeal", but it will not work. He's hoping they get so tired of his demands for legal stuff, that they shorten his sentence. The man has no conscience. As for Klein, I find somewhat credible that "Jason" doctored Klein's bills for MJ that were submitted to the estate for payment. Michael was out of the country from 2005 through most of 2006; didn't need Klein then; he moved to Vegas 2006; Klein was still in LA (although travel possible of course) and there were other MD's in Vegas (where he met Dr. Death Murray. It will be interesting what the Cal Medical Board discovers when it interviews Klein which probably won't be until 2012 now that Klein's lawyers have abandoned him and he needs new counsel.
