Wow in this pic she honestly looks scared for the first time.

Charles   July 4th, 2011 5:57 pm ET

It will be hard to find her guilty of first degree murder without hard evidence; it is to the evidence introduced in this trial and to it alone must prove her guilty. Her lying is not proof.
I am glad I am not on that jury as I do believe her to be guilty but if I had to do that than I would not be following the instructions of the judge.

kay   July 4th, 2011 6:41 pm ET

When the judge called the jury back to the courtroom around 5:30, I noticed real fear on Casey Anthony's face - for the first time, I didn't see an attitude, or facial expression playing it up for the jury or the camera. I think it's finally dawned on her that she's finally arrived in a place that she can't lie her way out of, and her selfishness and lies have brought her life to a screeching halt.

I'm betting that Cindy's the first one in the family to seal the deal on a book and/or a movie. Cindy's a controller of the worst kind, and she's not done with this - not by a long stretch.

Karen M.   July 4th, 2011 7:09 pm ET

I was unable to watch all of the closing arguments, but was wondering if any of these three items came up:

1. Did the prosecution comment on why Casey Anthony would sit in jail for three years facing a possible death penalty if it was an accident?

2. Did anyone comment that thousands of flies flew out of the trunk at the towing service when George and the owner opened the Sunfire's trunk? This could have refuted some of the expert's assessments.

3. Did anyone notice when Cindy was questioned whether she had hired private investigators that she really wasn't lying because she said, "I never SAID I hired private investigators," or something to that effect.

Renee   July 4th, 2011 9:24 pm ET

Look into those eyes.....don't know about you guys, but I see EVIL!!! She's "GUILTY", everyone knows it, put her away forever...I don't think the Jury will ALL be able to come to the Death Penalty conclusion. Have my doubts about that, but what will be worse for "Beautiful Life – Party Girl", that she won't be able to "Party".

Renee   July 4th, 2011 9:29 pm ET

Mr. Ashton got in trouble for laughing at "Bozo Baez" (which I would have done the same thing), but upon watching Linda Drane-Burdick's closing argument, I just seen "Cheney Mason" doing the same thing! He was sitting over there laughing at the things that she was all the ones who are slamming Mr. Ashton, he's not the only one who needs to "grow up" (not my words).

Heidi   July 5th, 2011 8:12 am ET

During the trial the judge has put people in jail. Threatened to exclude lawyers all for facial expressions. Why can Casey sit there and make all the faces she wants even mouthing out words shaking her head it goes on and on. Why was nothing said to her or why was her attorney never told to control his client.

trudy conrad   July 5th, 2011 9:01 am ET

I believe that casey did in fact kill her daughter. She seemed to be more concerned with the boyfriend and partying than with her daughter. the tears she shed wasnt for the loss of caylee, but for the fact she got caught and is now in jail

Bunkie   July 5th, 2011 9:07 am ET

Sunny brought up a good question. How did she get her money? Besides stealing from family, being a shot girl?
Also I would like to see the federal income tax returns of the Anthony's and Casey. Did the Anthony's claim Caylee as a dependent? Did Casey even file taxes? If not there is another charge, lack to file taxes. Just like Capone LOL

Dee   July 5th, 2011 9:14 am ET

Why would the TV people (or anyone else for that matter) think that a verdict would have come back yesterday (the first day) or even today.
There is almost 400 pieces of evidence to go through besides the testimony.

Patty   July 5th, 2011 10:29 am ET

I don't know how true any of this is, but I have read articles online stating that:
Caylee's "paternal grandmother" has come forward. She lives around Boston. Her son, I think the last name is Duggin, did die in a car accident, but not before he told his Mom he had a girlfriend Casey, who was pregnant, with a baby girl.
Casey Anthony is pregnant. Suspected father: Bozo (Baez).
Is any of this true?

Suzanne Williams   July 5th, 2011 10:45 am ET

In Session, if there is a juror who expresses during deliberation that although he/she believes that the state has proven the case for murder, yet....- that they don' believe in the death penalty. Question: Can't another juror send a note to the judge that "Juror # XYZ ..says that she/he will not follow the law, despite believing Casey committed murder," Can't Judge Perry strike that juror for misconduct (not following law) and bring in an alternate?

Sands   July 5th, 2011 11:23 am ET

I wouldn't want to be on this jury because having to decide if a person gets the needle is not an easy choice. As a juor you will have to walk around for the rest of your life knowing you made that decision. I don't think I could walk around with that!!!

But people remember that even if she is found guilty of first degree, this doesn't mean you go directly to the needle. You have years of appeals afforded you. You sit years, years, maybe 20/30 years behind bars and you either survive that or you die in prison. She will probably die by the hands of her fellow inmates!!! Sad but possible!!! Unless of course she ask for protective custody while she serves her time, etc.!

Where would she go if she is found not guilty? Who would be happy to invite her into their neighborhood? Her parents neighborhood wants all of them gone, i.e. sale your house and disappear. But where do you disappear to? Everybody knows your face!!! Well, I guess you could move to the Ozarks??? Even at that the media is going to chase you wherever you go. It is going to take years for this family to fade into the background of life....

Sands   July 5th, 2011 11:38 am ET

The one thing I can see that is going to help this family repair would be for Lee to have kid/s of his own..... This would do wonders for these grandparents. However, if I were Lee I think I would disassociate myself, change my name and get on with my individual life because when (and I am sure he will) he does the media is going to be all over that episode as well. These poor family members have no escape route!!!!!

Baez was correct when he spouted in court, "LOOK WHAT YOU'VE DONE"!!! He was correct, look what she has done to her family!?!?!?

They are going to have to make lots of money in order to continue putting money on her books so she can continue to eat her potatoe chips and candy bars for the rest of her pathetic life behind bars. However, here is the rub, they cannot afford to make much money because somebody is going to have to be accountable for paying for her next defense attorney unless they go through the law and disassociate themselves from her legally.

Al   July 5th, 2011 11:49 am ET

Has Casey admitted to anything? Has she told officials she is innocent? What has she admitted to doing in this case?

Samantha   July 5th, 2011 11:50 am ET

IF Casey was the last one to drive that car and was the one who parked it at the Amscot, then HOW did George Anthony get the KEYS to pick the car up at the tow yard. Its strange how he had the keys and carried a can of gas to get the car. How did he get the keys and why would he just carry a can of gas? I think he was acting strange. I think he was the last to drive that car. Everytime he was on the stand he hardly ever answered a question directly. I would like to hear from a body language expert on what his body language was saying as he answered and argued on those many questions (sexual abuse, was he there when Caylee died, did he dispose of Caylees body, did he have intimate relations with his mistress Crystal) .

Rhubert967   July 5th, 2011 12:15 pm ET

It should not take that long to find this girl guilty. I am thinking that there are some people that are on this jury that are taking this trial to personally and want to find her guilty of the lesser charges if so she can walk out of there in 5 years. If that is what happens then there is no justice for the little girl just a free pass to murder for Casey. I pray this does not happen.

Barbara   July 5th, 2011 12:22 pm ET

Ms. Burdick was Great in her closing- she really brought it home but in a common sense manner!!! And she stated CA is documented as the biggest liar in court history. WOW !!!! that's a great accomplishment!!!!!
Do wonder though how Cindy & George are going to feel if she is found guilty of one of the two higher accounts , on one hand its justice for Caylee and on the other it's their own daughter. And then you are going to hear all the cheers from the public. I couldn't imagine that..
Answer to Dee, in the O.J. trial it lasted for 9mos. and that jury came back in 4hrs with a verdict. So anything is possible. The difference is this is a capital case so it will take longer......Also in that case you know how the two victims died, here there is no cause of death.
Yes I too noticed yesterday how CA mouthed a couple of words and often shook her head during the trial and nothing was ever said to her. I did think yesterday she was going to jump out of her seat when Ms. Burdick was giving her closing. It has to be very hard to sit there and hear someone talk about you in such a negative fashion and you cannot respond.
Wonder what she's thinking, does she even speculate for a minute that this could be it for the rest of her life.......or that she could be there for maybe a minimum of 20 – 30yrs.
She had it all, a family that more than contributed to raising her daughter, beautiful home, family, plenty of friends......and her youth that somewhere down the line she would have met someone and possibly get married....... Instead her daughter is dead and she is going to prison........
Really hope they come back today with a verdict....

Gene   July 5th, 2011 12:24 pm ET

In the closing rebuttal case for the defense while Linda Drane Burdick was talking to the jury, Casey Anthony was saying something at times. Any lip readers interpretations of what she may have said.

judy boyskey   July 5th, 2011 12:28 pm ET

I hope the jury finds her innocent or at least nit guilty of ist degree murder. She is a lier!! but that is not a crime yet .. I believe . I think she needs pych. help big time . I beleive Caylee will not find justice in this court. Caylee 's death is a bunch of confused incidents in this court house.. I think George knows something what ?? Ashton has a deal ?
Cindy ... knows a portion but what is not willing to let that secret out . What a mess!! The best thing would be to get this girl Help.

Joyce June   July 5th, 2011 12:42 pm ET

one of the other networks just said Casey is currently serving time for the bad check charges – if that's true, the time she's serving should not count for the 4 charges of lying to the police

Debi129 Seattle   July 5th, 2011 12:48 pm ET

Sunny, you are so wrong about the speech of a 2.5 years old..Lots of girls and boys are talking by 2 today..pre-school, tv and other siblings have made them way above the last 2 generations. my two grandchildren..both girls were completely verbal by two with five and six word sentences.. Lot of them are reading by 4 today..I have two daughters that are teachers and a husband who is a child therapist.

rebecca spradlin   July 5th, 2011 12:56 pm ET

Attorney Sonny was wrong about children talking at two and a half. My grandaughter certainly did . And we can see and hear her singing in the video that she was capable of talking. Some children may not but thats not to say that Caylee did not or could not tell where she had been.

Stan   July 5th, 2011 1:02 pm ET

the prosecution has not "proven" even 1 charge, in my view. they took the media accounts of the past 2 years and wove a case around it. i don't know if casey's guilty – but the state has not proven that a murder/manslaughter child abuse proven. casey's on trial for shameless conduct in the face of tragedy

Don   July 5th, 2011 1:02 pm ET

The defense wants us to believe George Anthony disposed of the dead child's body. Being he was a former cop, I don't believe that if he actually did the job the body would have "ever" been found. He would have made sure there was no body left to find.

Laureen Bassett, Smith's Bermuda   July 5th, 2011 1:07 pm ET

I have followed this case from the beginning and interesting enough, I find that Casey Anthony pulled off her final coup d'etat by convincing her very own attorneys of another set of her lies. They had NO proof ONLY "HER" words and they fell for it!

Casey, I have got to give it to her. She is talented but unfortunately in a very negative/destructive way. She will get whatever she needs by whatever means necessary. This person is just a SELFISH individual who will moan for herself and her desires 'til the day she dies. I pray for her soul.

cindy   July 5th, 2011 1:10 pm ET

I think Casey is use to her parents getting her out of trouble. I really believe that she thought her father would go along with her molestation accusation to save her from a life in prison. We heard him on the jail tapes say he would trade places with her if he could. I think that is the reason she appeared so angry when he testified.

DENISE WITKOWSKI   July 5th, 2011 1:13 pm ET

I have watched this trial and feel Casey needs to be put away for a very long time... Because they dont have any direct connection to Caylee,s method of death I wouldnt put Casey to death. I think she was trying to have Caylee sleep and she overdosed her . This party -loving girl would not stay in jail for almost 3 years if this was indeed an accidental drowing.. I do hope she never has another child if she gets out some day. This lady should never mother any child again.

Melissa   July 5th, 2011 1:15 pm ET

I think Casey invented Zanny the Nanny about the same time she told her parents she was working at Universal, it got her out of the house with out having to explain, and she had to invent someone to baby sit because she really didn`t have a job to pay anyone to watch Caylee. so many lies she was having trouble keeping up with & Caylee was getting old enough to talk , so Casey went in search of a way to kill Caylee, thats why she searched chloroform & neck breaking. This was premeditated murder. You have the death penalty in Florida & Casey is guilty of first degree, if the jury comes back with that verdict why should casey get off just because of Cindy & George? Everyone has family who suffer when things like this happen she is no exception,We should not get to pick & choose who should or shouldn`t be put to death,Guilty is guilty I don`t care if its a man or a woman, rich or poor, black or white.

Deborah   July 5th, 2011 1:22 pm ET

Did we ever find out what Lee over heard from his parents? I feel the defense should have really hit home to jury at the end of closing how many phone calls she place to her mother on the very day they say Caylee died. You should ask yourself who is the first person you call when you are in trouble? You call your mother. And when she couldn't reach her mother she panic and did the only thing in her state mind at that time is to perpare Caylee like she had seen numberous times by her parents how they perpared their pets. Was that action wrong yes but I look at her age the disfunction in her family. And we will never know, And did you see Casey mother shake her head when they read her email address it was know that wrong ! Who knows! I pray that she did not intentionaly kill Caylee.

Melissa   July 5th, 2011 1:34 pm ET

Its funny how some can see Casey is guilty of lying, but say there`s no proof of her killing Caylee,People need to put 2 & 2 together,my goodness she was using the job lie to get out of the house, she made up the Nanny as a babysitter, we know she couldn`t pay a sitter so she had to invent one, she was the only one who could have gotten every piece of evidence ,she was the one who had the carthat carried the dead body, and when Baez said Caylee drowned in the pool, that there let us know Casey was with Caylee when she did die & it wasen`t in no pool,The searches for neck breaking ,chloroform and other things let us know she was looking for ways to kill, not put Caylee to sleep, breaking a neck has never been a tool for putting a child to sleep for a little while.

Minnie Byrd   July 5th, 2011 1:36 pm ET

I do NOT agree with the majority of callers, who feel the evidence was compelling. I went into this thinking she had to be quilty I have watched it all. If I am to base her guilt on the evidence of the states case, I could not. I have more questions now than the beginning. The state lost me with the science they was presented. I am an old country girl who has seen decompesation in all stages in the field . I no the mess, I no the critters, i no the smell. 1 blow fly leg , and a stain. A stain cleaned up with paper towels .IMPOSSIBLE! I don't care how small. Plastic bags doubled or 20 ply if there is a stain from the bag there is a tear that allows leakage.Leaking for 2 -3 days would not be a small amount. Another point, tape on the face would have moved with the flesh from the bone, not attatch to the skull. Everyone needs to see pictures of all stages of decompensation to see how that is a foolish arguement. When a cow decomposes in field or stream you have a greasy globby uky mess with and hair hide , flesh, and bone. Hair on the hide does not stick to the skull and neither does the hide, it all moves off. I do not no what happened to the child. I do think Casey has some serious issues, and I think she's guilty of something in this, but I don't no what. I have questions about George. I have NEVER heard of someone trying to kill himself over another persons problem.

Gene   July 5th, 2011 1:37 pm ET

Guilty. Life or death, she is guilty.

Melissa   July 5th, 2011 1:39 pm ET

Did I miss something?????? I never seen one shred of evidence that showed them as a disfunctional family,They loved their kids & they adored their granddaughter, they bought & provided for their kids & did the same for Caylee, HOW does that make them disfunctional?? the only one messed up is Casey. Thats because she is so self centered.

Cassidy   July 5th, 2011 1:40 pm ET

I think she was going to give Caylee to her parents, and accidentally killed her, and as long as Caylee was gone she was fine. She should have told her parents or the police and none of this would have happened.

Gene   July 5th, 2011 1:40 pm ET

I can say this though. She gets life, Baez is a million dollar man. She gets a sentence with a number less than ninety, Baez is a ten million dollar man.

Rick   July 5th, 2011 2:07 pm ET

I'm sorry but that's a murderers face! I hope she gets everything she deserves!

a   July 5th, 2011 2:10 pm ET

...looks nervously guilty

Rick   July 5th, 2011 2:10 pm ET

She's very nervous ha ha

Rick   July 5th, 2011 2:12 pm ET

People lie all the time about everything, sometimes they lie about their age, sometimes even their name, but she shouldn't have lied about this!

Rick   July 5th, 2011 2:15 pm ET

Where are the body language experts when you need them? Casey wouldn't even look at her parents!

Rick   July 5th, 2011 2:21 pm ET

facial expressions of many in court room look strange, some saying how can this be????

Wayne Deja   July 5th, 2011 2:34 pm ET

WOW!!!!!!!! Within a month,Casey will have a reality T.V. show,be a millionaire with endorsements, will have hundreds of marrige proposals from so-called "men" around the world....and no justice for Caylee...what a shame...Today,this Country should collectivally be ashamed of themselves.WHAT A SHAME.......

Maria   July 5th, 2011 2:34 pm ET

Oh my God!!!!! I just totally lost all faith in what ever I had left in our stupid Justice System. This the most outrageous verdict, kinda like OJ,did nobody care about this baby? I hope Biaez and Casey rot in hell!!!!

Lorraine Blum   July 5th, 2011 2:34 pm ET

This shows that a jury should be givien an IQ test before being accepted. The judge rushed in getting them, including one that could not vote quilty, maybe thay just wanted to agree and go home. It could not be more obvious she was guilty. A sweet young girl that would have been a star someday is no longer, here, thrown away by her sociopathic mom like she was garbage her mother Caylee's grandmother lying to help her Casey get off.
This was a retarded confused jury and a mother got off and got away with murdering her sweet todler. It is disgusting and I am embarrassed for our jury system.

NBF   July 5th, 2011 2:35 pm ET

I am completely amazed the jury found this woman not guilty! She is an astute liar, a complete narcissist, and the unbelievable stories her defense spewed out were incredible! I truly feel sorry for the prosecutors in this case. She killed that little girl and now no one has to pay for that atrocity! What has happened to our judicial system??

sarah   July 5th, 2011 2:36 pm ET

what in the world are these people thinking we all no she did it come on now

scott   July 5th, 2011 2:37 pm ET

This is Nutz!!!!! I did not see guilty on 1st degree, But she shuuld be guilty of all other charges.

Jessica   July 5th, 2011 2:38 pm ET

This is not justice. I can't believe this jury has a brain between them. I don't believe Casey will have a "beautiful life" , because no one else believes she is not guilty.

michelle Emery   July 5th, 2011 2:39 pm ET

Where is the justice for baby Caley!!!???

star   July 5th, 2011 2:39 pm ET

i can not believe what i just heard on tv, she was not guilty, omg are u serious, this person just got away with murder it is as plain as nose on ur face.

kristie   July 5th, 2011 2:40 pm ET

I cant believe she got off.. she has showed no remorse or experssions threwout the whole trial.. she will have to stand her judgement day eventually and i feel for the child cause poor little caylee DID NOT get justice for her life being taken at such a young age.

Lorraine Blum   July 5th, 2011 2:40 pm ET

Dr Drew says there was no motivation shown. Give me a break, she wanted to party and Caylee was simply in the way. Just wait till it is advantagious for her to kill her parents for money, or a future friend about to spill the beans about anything. This sociopath will be back in court someday. But because the prosecutor laughed or whatever reason these fools found her innocent, she is not found innocent and will be a star instead while Caylee lyed in garbage and will be forgotten. If I was a talk show host I would not allow her on my show. She is a horrible heartless murderer and child abuser.

Daniel   July 5th, 2011 2:40 pm ET

The verdict in this case was an absolute miscarriage of justice. Every jury member forgot the fact that a little girl is dead. Before absolute innocence is discovered she should be required to submit to a lie detector test. Not only that but there is so much evidence that a crime was committed that she is guilty of more than just lying to the police. It is now the responsiblity of Casey "The Liar" Anthony to find her daughter's killer if she didn't do it. She won't even try to do that though because she knows she is guilty. The way guilty people stay free is to keep their mouth shut and hope people forget what happened. Baez is a joke and I do not understand how he can sleep at night. There are people that are found guilty of child abuse because they leave a chilld in a car when they go into a store and she can't tell us where her daughter was for over 30 days while she was partying. I knew she would be found innocent of murder but to walk away from this is disgusting. She is beyond selfish and should never be allowed around other people. I guess this is my fault though because the only other verdict I have ever watched live was the O.J. Simpson trial and he got away with murder too.

Jill   July 5th, 2011 2:40 pm ET

I am shocked, sickened and ashamed. This woman is guilty of murdering her child. What mother is out partying while her child is supposedly missing? All the lying, all the evidence and those 12 stupid jurors found her not guilty of anything but lying to the police. This is just another example of our disfunctional law system. Well, I guess this is good news for parents who murder their children, knowing that they can get away with it as well.

Patty   July 5th, 2011 2:42 pm ET

Well, anot;her OJ walking the streets getting away with Murder, so sorry for the baby and Casey will live her hell right here on earth and God has received Caylee but her mother is a different story.

damyelle   July 5th, 2011 2:43 pm ET

I can't beloved they let her go like that and that baby just dead wrap up like a animal how can you live with yourself

scott   July 5th, 2011 2:44 pm ET

She was giving Caylee Xanax ( zanny the nanny) to Knock her out. She started the Chloroform searches when she started having trouble getting ahold of more Xanax. When in jail Her brother asked her " where is Caylee", and she said Zanny the nanny took her - in other words - I accidently overdosed Calee on Xanax.

deeNY   July 5th, 2011 2:45 pm ET

This just goes to show what a joke our legal system is! This little girl did not put her dead body in a garbage bag and throw herself into a swamp! There is no other explanation as to how this little girl died. She was in the care and custody of her mother when she died and whether it was an accident covered up or not, she was responsible for this child's death and in the end, there was no justice for Caylee!

Charlie Q   July 5th, 2011 2:46 pm ET

You CANNOT be serious...I am DISGUSTED that all you have to do to get away with murdering your child is to dump her body in swamp/garbage dump and lie to police long enough that the body and all of the evidence decomposes. I hope Casey's spends the rest of her life haunted by the poor child's smile...

jacx   July 5th, 2011 2:47 pm ET

There was no justice for Caylee!!! The citizens of Florida paid for it all!!!!!
Casey just walked away from any responsibility of the death of HER CHILD!!!!

cmccoy   July 5th, 2011 2:49 pm ET

i CANNOT believe she got a not guilty. If any one of those jurors had a spec of sense they would have taken into consideration that the baby died someway and Casey was the only one to have access to the items they determined to be the murder weapon. So basically we just let a murderer go without any punishment. Not even child negligence. This is absolutely not justice and anyone that thinks so is as demented as the so called jury. I really hope she gets what she deserves out of life. Unbelievable!!!

kmr   July 5th, 2011 2:56 pm ET

What a sad day in America. A baby killer runs free. Never has someone been more guilty. Disgusting.

SUEANN   July 5th, 2011 3:02 pm ET

Casey's father did it . i feel it in my heart and soul ?he tried 2 kill his self (why) it's in gods hands now rip sweet angel

Joe   July 5th, 2011 3:03 pm ET

A little girl is DEAD the defense is in jubilation,Little Caylee received no Justice today,How in the world could this happen the jury had no one else to blame perhaps for a cover up but Casey murdered a child a human being innocent still embraced by the holy spirit a loving God,but the evil the liar Satan won today but as his day is coming so to will Casey have to face a final judgement. I have lost all faith in our judicial system. I have commented many times on this forum,I will comment no more. In Session I bid you farewell.

Ann   July 5th, 2011 3:06 pm ET

I watched this trial and today watched them read the verdict. For some reason this jury found her not guilty of anything except lying to the police.Did this jury not listen to the evidence provided by the state?Today I witnessed a complete breakdown of the justice system!!!Anyone who could find her not guilty of first degree murder & child abuse did not hear the evidence as it was so clearly shown in this case!! This woman killed her daughter without any thought except the thought that after she got rid of her daughter ,she could have the life of a partying non caring cold heartless person that the state proved her to be!!!!Today there was absolutly no justice fot little Caylee Anthony!!Today we all saw a cold blooded murder get away with murder!!!!!!!such an injustice for little Caylee Anthony!!!!I am so disappointed in this jury!!!Not justice was found for Caylee!!!! None what soever!!!!!

Vickie   July 5th, 2011 3:07 pm ET

If she accidentally killed her, she would have called for help when it happened. She would not have duct taped the child and placed her lifeless body in the car trunk. She also wouldn't be out partying. This woman is a cold blooded, manipulative, deceitville, murderer and she should be found guilty and executed. What idiot moroons served on that jury and found this woman innocent ? They are guilty as well. I hope they ALL hear that baby's innocent cries for the rest of their lives. I Hope Casey lives with nightmares and torment just as she caused to Caylee. I hope she never has one minute of peace and is miserable forever. I don't understand how her parents could welcome her back into their home knowing what she did. And they do know, guilt will eat them all alive, and I hope it does. God is taking loving care of Caylee now, rest in peace sweet baby, no one will ever hurt you again.

ron wolfe   July 5th, 2011 3:15 pm ET

i probably like many on the jury THINK she was guilty but the prosecution could not proof it. if the police had of done their job in august there may have been evidence of how caylee died and maybe even finger prints on the tapeor the bag and we would have known exactly where the tape was in relation to the body. bad police work their should have gone and done a real investigation of the site in august.

Dale Crook   July 5th, 2011 3:17 pm ET

I knew a no guility was coming when everyone said the jury was dressed in dress cloths. If they knew they were going back to the same place that they had been for two months, why dress up. This was simple!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Mz. Lady T   July 5th, 2011 3:25 pm ET

This is a sad day! Victory has not been won for no one. Casey Anthony is Guilty!! A crime was committed. The prosecution did an outstanding job and there was enough evidence to convict her. The jurors need have their heads examined. They are cowards and don't want to face the public because they know they just let a KILLER go!! What has our justice system come to?

John   July 5th, 2011 3:28 pm ET

Jose Baez. Said it: “I have mixed emotions.” The defense job was to provide a vigorous defense, and they did. Jose also commented that he hopes this trial suggests why the Death Penalty should be off the table. I believe his opinion was that the decision should have and would have been different if the weight of death was not part of the jury consideration.

William Todd   July 5th, 2011 3:29 pm ET

Does anyone have any faith in our justice system? Tell me the truth!

Anna   July 5th, 2011 3:30 pm ET

It is sad how the "justice" system seems to not achieve justice anymore. I can't see how they could only deliberate for 11 hours and all ACTUALLY agree on not guilty on all counts except lying to the police. I could have sworn there'd be at least a lesser sentence if they couldn't agree it wasn't premeditated. Sad for poor Caylee. If her mom was a good mom and treated her daughter how she deserved to be treated, none of this would have happened.

shaw   July 5th, 2011 3:31 pm ET

It doesn't make any sense. Hundreds of kids die in accidental drownings every year and the parents don't cover up the death. Why would she cover up the death unless she did something wrong?
Why did she wait so long to report the girl missing? None of her actions make any sense. An innocent person wouldn't do all those things that she did

Jeanne   July 5th, 2011 3:32 pm ET

I am stunned by the Not Guilty verdict! I was in Dallas on 11/22/63 when Kennedy was shot; I had the same sinking feeling when I heard the Casey Anthony verdict that I had standing at that parade. There were people milling around, shocked, not knowing what to do or think. That's what the crowds outside the court looked like. Just looking around at each other, not knowing what to say or do. She has destroyed her whole family! How will George and Cindy Anthony get past the story she gave about him carrying Caylee's wet body from the pool, and accusing him of molestation? I hope she is shunned and villified by people – how can anyone respect her after what she has done. If she is innocent who killed Caylee?

I will have to stay away from HLN for quite a while to get past this. I got too engrossed in praying for Justice for Caylee, and believing justice would be served. It is disgusting to see all of the defense team hugging each other, and her, like it's over and all is forgiven.

Mardy   July 5th, 2011 3:35 pm ET

I am in total disbelief that the jury found her not guilty. This is "our reality TV" where we show people how to commit murder and then get away with it. These jurors must have been so sick of this whole trial – maybe they made these tough decisions based on "let us get this over with and go home"? I only have a high school education and am by no means highly intelligent but I do have common sense and think logically. It is apparent the jury did not have common sense nor use logic in their decisions. This is so tragic.

laurie   July 5th, 2011 3:36 pm ET

The jury just spoke loud and clear to this world! If your child is in the way of your partying life, you may kill them, dispose of the body somewhere convenient, and you can easily get away with it! There WILL be many more copycat murders because of it! License to kill! How can they live with their verdict? They will cause many more children to die! Shame on there unsophisticated little minds!

laurie   July 5th, 2011 4:01 pm ET

Did this jury need a video of Casey caught in the act? What happen to intelligent deduction? This is a sad justice system that needs to be restructured. This child was in her mothers care and she didn't even get CHILD ABUSE let alone murder?

Judik in WA   July 5th, 2011 4:09 pm ET

Cindy and George are NOT victims! Caylee is the ONLY victim (and possibly Lee) All of the rest of them, including Bozo Baez, are perpetrators.

JFC   July 5th, 2011 4:15 pm ET

FIrst, I feel the jurors got it all wrong,

But i find it ironic that whe could walk from jail on 7-7-11. Just coincidence???

She got away with it this time but will pay for it later..

RIP – Caylee Marie

13th juror   July 5th, 2011 4:20 pm ET

Finally, justice did prevail. She was found not guilty, because there was never any proof she killed her daughter, nor any prove as to how, when and why this child died. How would you feel if you were convicted on solely a circumstantial case with no DNA evidence linking you to this crime? The jurors did the right thing!

randy   July 5th, 2011 4:50 pm ET

now about the baez partying if the other side would have won then they would have been partying i did not beleave she was gulting i do not like nancy grace she think everybody is guilting poeple nead to just shut up and leave her alone

Frank Amaro   July 5th, 2011 5:00 pm ET

Im just shcked the jury didnt find child neglect on Casey, For one. Her child was missing and she didnt know where her child was.2 she didnt even look for her child and went out to party.Thats child neglect. No one gave her put that on her. It sicken me where people kids go missing and they dont care and they have fun while children are dead or kidnapped. The justice systems scares me. Looks like when a missing child goes missing, you can go on with your life if nothing happen.

Deborah   July 5th, 2011 5:06 pm ET

How can a parent who's three year old child is in their custody lie about where they are for 31 days. Finally under threat report them missing, then kidnapped & eventually discovered Dead in a bag in a swamp. How is it possible that Casey is not in any way beyond lying to law enforcement NOT guilty of something else. As her custodial parent Casey was responsible for protecting her child. What was the jury thinking? If Casey was not guilty beyond a reasonable doubt for harming & disposing her child; who was? There decision of not guilty is not reasonable or logical. It is an outrage that a helpless child can be throw away like trash.

Tina   July 5th, 2011 5:10 pm ET

I am a very open minded person...But the evidence is so clear who was the cause of Caylee's death...Bogus baby sitter....bogus job....not reporting your baby is missing your self. That's what a not guilty mom would do. So sad no justic for Caylee.

glenn   July 5th, 2011 5:12 pm ET

i said weeks ago she would walk ,,,remember me

glenn   July 5th, 2011 5:22 pm ET

for those who thought she was guilty , well its eat your words time

Kitty S.   July 5th, 2011 5:22 pm ET

This is a travisty of justice. Not only Casey get get exhonerated, she'll make millions for her rights to a book, movie, etc.. I heard that Zenaida "Zanny" Fernandez-Gonzales is filing civil charges against Casey. Since the burden of proof is much less in a civil case, hopefully Casey will face additional charges?

j.price in Tx.   July 5th, 2011 5:34 pm ET

I am stunned! I wish the jury had been aware of all the things that we knew. Such as the time Casey talked in past teanse to the lady that was asigned to stay with her when she was out on bond 'showing her the tat she got "in memory of calee, Also telling her prisonmate about how to make chlorophorm. I just hope the juror's are able to sleep at night when they do find out all these things, and then realize they let a baby murderer go free ! But I would not want to be Casey Anthony when she goes free! I'm pretty sure she's going to get her's one way or the other!

Marsha   July 5th, 2011 5:50 pm ET

I know a lot of people wanted to see her fry.
I will reserve my own judgment in that matter but I will say, I am glad to see the police presence for her attorneys sake & I hope their safety continues & I hope peace in that city, state continues on long into the future & that NO ONE gets attacked by a mob mentality or unnecessarily hurt.

Kimberly Montgomery   July 5th, 2011 6:19 pm ET

I am stunned.... How could a mother who doesn't report their 2 year old baby missing for 31 days NOT be involved! No justice for poor baby Caylee! Totally disgusted with the outcome.

Laura ONeill   July 5th, 2011 6:31 pm ET

Sadly, this country has lost logic and common sense. Circumstantial evidence was the key to convict at least manslaughter and certainly obstruction of justice and child abuse. Blinded by the fact that there was no hard definitive scientific evidence they failed to see what was directly in front of them a mother who murdered her innocent child because she "got in the way". The lord says "Vengence is mine" she'll get hers, hopefully sooner than later!

MaryJane   July 5th, 2011 7:05 pm ET

Nothing would have satisfied these jurors except having watched the murder take place. Since Casey is what she is, she will probably have a new boyfriend by the weekend and sometime in the future she will probably be a part of something horrific again. Since she escaped a guilty verdict she will be emboldened. No justice for Caylee today.

Tim Gardner   July 5th, 2011 7:12 pm ET

Well, if nothing else, we've just found and isolated the twelve stupidist people in Florida. Poor Caylee.

Lisa   July 5th, 2011 7:33 pm ET

All I can do is Boycott any publisher who will pay her for a book, movie studio who will pay her for the movie, any sponsor supporting a made for T.V. movie, I will never purchase a product, a book or a movie ticket from anyone who will make this murder momma wealthy. I will not ever see a movie by any actress who would portray her. All I can do for the memory of Caylee is to make sure I do not spend a dime and reward her "mother" for killing her.

Judy Christopherson   July 5th, 2011 8:03 pm ET

This is a real injustice. Casey should have to pay for all the money that went into searching for her daughter etc. while she was lying the whole time. If she was not guilty, she would not have sat in jail for 3 years without saying what really happened. Justice was definitely not served today.

Marc   July 5th, 2011 8:23 pm ET

NOT GUILTY; unreal!!!! What did I miss here. I have been a juror on a criminal case and I find it hard to believe this. Justice was NOT served!! What about Caylee!!! Who did it!!! My faith in our legal system just went way down. As far as I'm concerned this jury rushed to get home... go on a cruise or whatever. There was plenty of evidence for aggravated child abuse. This is disturbing to say the least.

Karen   July 5th, 2011 8:49 pm ET

I am so sorry to see this case end this way. Not guilty... give me a break. This is such a travesty of justice. How can we as a society allow this type of unjustice to continue on. It is never about the truth any more just which lawyer can mesmorized a jury.

Profiler   July 5th, 2011 9:09 pm ET

I'm very sad a 3yr old lost her life. It just occurred to me that the profile of one who would take time to bury their pets with a lot of care is inconsistent with one who would just throw her little body away like that.

There can still be Justice for Caylee   July 5th, 2011 9:20 pm ET

If they find the person or people who really did this!

LuvleeWA   July 5th, 2011 9:23 pm ET

If Casey Anthony and Jose Baez Insist Cailee died in the pool then they should pay restitution for ALL the money spent on this case in the last 3 years. Balloon boys Dad did jail time for misleading the police.

Chrissy   July 5th, 2011 10:49 pm ET

Is there a crime against illegally disposing of a child's dead body??? Can they not charge her for something to get justice for Casey???

Robin   July 5th, 2011 10:57 pm ET

I am so sad for this little girl.Butt she is with Jesus. And i do hope that charges are brought against her mom for pergury ,and her lawyer also.Their is nothing in this verdict that said she was inecent . The good lord said you reap what you sow.

Mary Lou Dewar   July 5th, 2011 11:23 pm ET

I Hope everyone will not support Casey by buying book watching ,movie like the craigs lists killer etc. She does not deserve any monatary gain from this period.
Please please stress to everyone what she has to gain from this awful discession that are great country we all stand by and respect. Kind-of hard after today.

jd   July 6th, 2011 1:20 am ET

I agree with Minnie about the evidence, not compelling. This was like many words given, but a picture is a thousand words. I believe the jurors had a multitude of evidence (circumstantial),but no dna, bad autopsy by Dr. G, the chloroform evidence and duct tape was not impressive, the smell from the car,1 blow fly leg,1 hair, etc., but nothing pinpointing Casey such as someone seeing her do it. Whether we believe right or wrong, this is our system, which may have faults as there are others who have been innocent and convicted, I know, i have been there. Since the trial has started Casey was thought by many as guilty, I did not. I wasnt going to say she was guilty until evidence was given and trial over period. And all the so called experts except for Sunny were convicting her from the start,ex. Mike Brooks, yea good,he is a cop plain and simple.
Something to me fishy about George, Samantha might be right, his testimony and the fact he prob. knows what to say in trial since he is an ex cop, and the molestation he is not going to tell the truth about that if it did occur.
Oh well, enough of my infinite wisdom, its over and done, time to move on.

13th juror   July 6th, 2011 7:30 am ET

How can anyone compare this trial to the OJ Simpson trial? There was DNA proving OJ did this horribile crime, the jurors were too STUPID to recognize these hard facts! But in this case, the jurors were very intelligent and recognized no proof of a murder, let alone how, when or why this child died. The state failed Caylee. They should have included much lesser charges, such as child abandonment, child neglect . . . considering Casey was the last person to have seen this child alive. I'm not saying Casey is innocent, but she is not guilty of the murder charges. Justice did prevail and I commend the jurors for coming to this right conclusion. They had a very tough job and saw through all the speculation the state tried to put on. This trial was simply put, was a speculation trial on both sides.

connie buckner   July 6th, 2011 9:10 am ET

I slept very little last night; I kept seeing Caylee's sweet face. I prayed very hard for the Lord's will to be done. I don't understand, but have to accept. I thought she would at least be found guilty of child abuse. She was in charge of the baby and it was her responsibility to keep her safe. I will have to pray that we will ultimately understand.I still wonder what the jury thought of her not taking ALL due care of her own child. Rest in Peace, Caylee!

Lisa   July 6th, 2011 9:31 am ET

This trial was lost in closing due to a brilliant close by Mr. Baez. He had the jury hypnotized with the words phantom this and phantom that which caused the jury to look at what wasn't there instead of looking at the overwhelming evidence that was there which led to one person...Casey Anthony

Don Marsolek   July 6th, 2011 9:32 am ET

Casey was guilty but she won"t have an easy road . I"d Never hire her and if I owned a business I"d make her leave !! There is some wacko out their wanting to be famous and what better way than to knock her off ? Butthead Baez can defend them !! Finally , they need to push for a paternity test so the father can file a civil suit !! This is a better case than what the Goldmans had !! Let"s make sure she never get"s a dime !!

Georgeana   July 6th, 2011 9:49 am ET

What I don't understand how a "defender" can live with them selves knowing that the "defendent" is guilty!

nita   July 6th, 2011 10:11 am ET

Mr. Baez spoke after Mason and the introduction of his assistants. I must say he presented himself in a classy and humble fashion. Through out the case Baez also voiced concern about Caylee, too...If only wish Mr. Mason had conducted himself in like manner. Why was it necessary to curse and be so critical of the public and the media? The public and media helped make him, too.

AWilson   July 6th, 2011 10:15 am ET

The first one to try to get a book deal is the Aunt who hasn't seen Casey since she was 9 years old. The aunt is the ex-wife of Cindy's brother. She will condemn Casey - but is trying to profit off it. Well - I guess her book won't be so popular now. Who wants to talk to the estranged aunt who knows nothing when you can go straight to the source. Those who will criticize are quick to make a buck. Hmmm.

Child neglect - Casey wasn't charge with it - or abuse of a corpse. Maybe the prosecutors should have focused on the things they could actually prove instead of relying on junk science, bad computer programs, and hiding Roy Kronk because they knew he was lying. At the end of the trial we find out that those 84 searches may have been the result of false testimony.

pam   July 6th, 2011 10:16 am ET

Lets stop this pitty party for Cindy Anthony. She chose her lying murdering daughter over her murdered granddaughter. Lets remember these jurors are hand picked by the defense. A better way would be to do a background check and pull their names out of a hat. These jurors did not go by evidence, they went by a theroy by the defense. We can only hope Casey ends up like OJ, in jail down the road. The defense will only be remembered as those who got a baby killer off. The idea that not enough evidence was shown is bs. Why bother finding her guilty of lying, if they never connected why she did it. Shame shame, no justice for Caley.

G.G. in Clermont, FL   July 6th, 2011 10:20 am ET

I agee with the jurors’ verdicts. I do not believe that Casey Anthony murdered her child. Placing a blanket and stuffed animal with Caylee, and putting a heart sticker on the duct tape, are not the actions of a cold-blooded killer.

She panicked when she discovered that Caylee had drowned in the family pool. While she tried to figure out how to get out of this mess, she partied so as not to attract any attention that something was wrong. Therefore, she lied to her everyone about Caylee being missing so that everyone would believe that Caylee died at the hands of a kidnapper.

asalinaro   July 6th, 2011 10:29 am ET

Here's my take on this... Casey accidently killed her child by giving her too much cholorform. She wanted to go out an party and no one would watch Caylee. When her mother found out Casey was lying about her job she refused to watch Caylee. She wanted Casey to be a responsible parent. This is what Cindy stated. I don't believe George was involved. Look at everything he did to try to find Caylee..What about the jail house calls when Casey called her parents and then stated it was a waste to call them since they were asking about Caylee. What about the partying for 31 days after her child died.. I am a parent and there are no words to explain to this. I would die for my child ! Casey should have been found guilty at least at a lesser murder charge. I don't believe it was premediated. She screwed up big time and had no remorse she did it. This was seen in her actions after the fact.

Pat Whaley   July 6th, 2011 10:33 am ET

Can't believe that Judge Perry is going to let her walk out the door......there has to be an adjustment period, not only for Casey but for public opinion. I'm sure if Casey was released, her safety for one thing would be at risk (there are "crazies" out there) and from her personality we know she would immediately want to be free in every way.......where can she go that she would not be recognized? Of course, I would hope there would be intense family therapy during her remainder of time in jail.

JoAnn   July 6th, 2011 10:34 am ET

I cannot help to believe that this jury just did not care about serving as a jury to begin with. So they said screw the state and screw justice for the little ANGEL.

Dottie Burt   July 6th, 2011 10:50 am ET

A nurse would not misspell Chloroform, why did the state not bring this up?

howard g jones   July 6th, 2011 10:51 am ET

OJ #2 is an abomination of our legal system. Ok, the facts in this case were not as good as they could have been. BUT, this so called "mother" , who could not recognize the truth if it slapped her in the face, must bear responsibility for the caring of her daughter and at the very least is guilty of negligence!!!

DEE   July 6th, 2011 11:21 am ET

You need to start a class action lawsuit against Casey Anthony for admittedly KNOWING her daughter was deceased and ALLOWING your time and resources, lost wages, and other costs to mount in the search for her daughter. This could be what is needed to prevent her from profiting from the murder of her daughter. PLEASE someone check into this before that girl becomes a psychopathic smirky millionaire!

silvana   July 6th, 2011 11:27 am ET

I am kind of dissapointed about this case but only God knows if this women is guilty of killing her daughter. In my opinion she is covering her death but God will have justice for her!!!!

silvana P.-Miami.Fl   July 6th, 2011 11:30 am ET

I am very dissapointed with this case but only God know if she really killed her two year daughter. In my opinion i think she had to do something with her death but God will have justice on her!!!! Maybe I am wrong!!!!

MaryJane   July 6th, 2011 11:36 am ET

Casey is a psychopath plain and simple. She is NOT a sociopath but a psychopath. Her parents could have mitigated this to some extent but she was most likely born that way. Psychopaths are charming and lie as easily as they breathe. They lie when they don't have to and are not embarrassed when caught lying. They simply reweave the lies. Casey will never feel the pain of the loss of Caylee's life because she is incapable of empathy. She will think only of herself for the rest of her life. Her damage is not done. She will continue to cause pain to those around her. Do I know this for a fact? No, of course not because I am not a psychiatrist and have not been involved with her but I have come to this conclusion and am pretty confident that time will prove this to be the truth.

Doris   July 6th, 2011 11:44 am ET

The jury found Casey not guilty because they wanted to go home, not stay around for another week for the penalty phase of the case.

Maranda in Texas   July 6th, 2011 11:45 am ET

I have two questions that maybe no one thought about asking, What was Tony Lazarro's part in this? Why wasn't he searched? I know Casey has maintained his innocence in this, but deep down in my gut i really think he helped her. I really think he knows more than what he is letting on. I think he absolutely knows what happened, i think he was there when the supposed drowning happened because they were drunk, i think he knew where caylee's body was he helped her cover it up. I think Casey's problem is the guys she dates and the people she surrounds herself with, a bunch of drunk addicts. I didn't think jail was the right place for her, i think she needs to be put in a rehab facility.

Sandy   July 6th, 2011 11:51 am ET

I am stunned at the verdict in this case...STUNNED!!
My husband is a retired homicide detective and he thinks she should have been found guilty on the aggravated child endangering.

Will we ever find out the real truth.? Perhaps Casey will be out partying and drunk and make a comment to someone. Even if she had stood up in court, after the verdict was read, and confesssed to everything, she can't be tried again. That's the sad part!
My husband wondered if she could be tried again federally? Of child abuse?

Robert   July 6th, 2011 11:51 am ET

My curiousity lies with Caylee's hair with banding (which is consistant with human dead remains) found in the trunk of her car. If NO ONE else but casey had access to that vehicle then wouldn't logic dictate that casey had possession of caylee's dead remains in the car? If not, round everyone up that did have access to the car, if possible have them all do a lie detector test and get this resolved. period. I'm not certain if casey deliberately killed caylee but I do believe that she did kill her, atleast accidentially. Bottomline, and we all know this, she is a liar. She has been and will most likely always will be a liar. A mother that so much as loses a child to a babysitter (in this case an imaginary one) would not go party, go get a tattoo (the words, Bella Vita, which means "Beautiful Life") and go shopping, you would be nuts looking for your kid and calling out the national guard if thats what it took. This is harsh to say but, a person as uncaring, heartless, lying, misleading as her, I can't even imagine hiring muchless working with her anywhere even if she didn't kill her daughter. A person with such a lack of morals, decency, ethics could dig a ditch or make french fries as long as she doesn't have the opportunity to spit in a burger or milk shake.
Baez having mixed emotions about the case. I agree as well. A Huge challenge in refining the criminal justice system is in order after seeing the appalling turn outs of this case and the past high profile cases are good example. We as a society are learning quickly that as long as no one can prove you actually did the deed, you lie and/or keep your mouth shut, you can get away with it. So what now? Case in dropped? No justice for caylee? Also, The judge made a comment that caught my attention. On the first count, he said, I find you not guilty "at this time" but never said it for the other 2nd and 3rd counts, he simply only said, not guilty. Does this possibly mean that he could possibly nullify the jurys verdict later? Just like the OJ case, will there possibly be a wrongful death suit? If I'm incorrect or I misunderstand what just occurred please feel free enlighten or to correct me, after all this is a sound board of all our concerns.

Rebecca Scott   July 6th, 2011 11:57 am ET

I listened to the entire trial, listened to Judge Perry's instructions to the jury. Why the "NOT GUILTY" verdict. In my opinion, the prosecution did a fantastic job with the evidence...HOWEVER, the defense punched holes in that evidence. Hence, the not guilty verdict. I have served on juries, and felt that there were some parts of the evidence that were not proven beyond a reasonable doubt.

chris   July 6th, 2011 12:01 pm ET

She is guilty and she knows it and i am outraged at the verdict of innocence. i hope that the rest of her life is a living hell

Rosette Futrell   July 6th, 2011 12:07 pm ET

First off everyone should stop saying that the jury did their job. How could this even be considered when they let a killer walk free. Also there was no justice for little Calee. The prosecution brought fourth the person that they felt was responsible for her to soon early death. As Calee mother she was her responsibility 100% and no one esle. With that being said Casey is saying that she is no killer then let us all watch and see as such a good and loving mother she claims to have been will she look for the real killer or killers after her release. Any real mother would not rest until full justice is done for their child. Shame on our so call justice system.

Les   July 6th, 2011 12:14 pm ET

Can she be tried for desecration of a body? They definitely proved that.

Charlotte in Texas   July 6th, 2011 12:16 pm ET

I see no justice for Caylee in the verdict. If Casey Anthony doesn't get released on Thursday, will she go into protective custody or the general population? What justification is there to put someone found guilty of lying to law enforcement in protective custody???? None that I can think of. It should be general population for her and no shortened sentence for those four guilty counts.

James   July 6th, 2011 12:21 pm ET

Ricardo was Casey's boyfriend. She used "ricoxxx) as her computer password. He posted something about chloroform on his MySpace page in March 2008. A bit later Casey looked it up. If Casey didn't kill Caylee I believe she had it done and Ricardo would be a chief suspect. If he is tried for Caylee's murder could Casey be tried as accessory or something similar. I do not think this would constitute double jeopardy. Do You?

skittles   July 6th, 2011 12:21 pm ET

Now that we know there has been "NO JUSTICE" for Caylee, I plead with everyone that disagrees with this verdict to "BOYCOTT" any and all books, movies, sponsors, corporations, that will let anyone cash in on the death of this sweet little girl. As we can already tell, Cindy was taking notes everyday in court for her book. We cannot let this killer, the jurors or her defense team or Anthony Family, make Caylees death even worse by supporting anything they do to profit from this horrible crime. There are millions of us who believe this verdict was as wrong as the "OJ verdict", please do not support anyone trying to cash in on Caylees death.

RoseR   July 6th, 2011 12:24 pm ET

Sunny and others keep saying that "the system is fair and that the system works". I beg to differ on two points: 1.) It is NOT FAIR that the defense can make up any theory of innocence they can devise, even unreasonable blaming, slandering and defaming of unsuspecting citizens, all for the sake of getting their verdict. 2.) That "reasonable doubt" has become "beyond the shadow of doubt and all reasonable consideration of the evidence in fact".

AWilson   July 6th, 2011 12:27 pm ET

Mason was reeling at the media that was knowingly giving false information to inflame the viewers - like Nancy Grace. Yes a child is dead, yes the mother lied - and so did her parents. The last person to say Caylee was with Casey was George - who can believe anything that man says. Why did he lie about when she left? Why did he lie about the duct tape? Why was he think his daughter could be in that car when Cindy talked to her the previous day? If we are to believe George, Casey walked out of that house - grabbed duct tape and bags out of a locked shed without him seeing– drove Caylee to the woods - killed her in broad daylight and wrapped her body, and then snuck back in the house after he left and grabbed her phone. OR - she had to leave the house - killed her daughter somewhere in the backyard - grabbed the duct tape and bags from the locked shed without him seeing and wrapped her body. Go to the woods without anyone seeing her drive or walk there - wait around for George to leave - then go get her phone OR Caylee died in the morning - the two of them decided to cover it up for various reasons – As the homeowner and admitted person who was watching her that morning - george could be charged with negligant homicide for not securing the pool. George got the duct tape and bags out of his locked shed and redressed Caylee (hense small shorts and no shoes) Hid the body or dumped it that day, and Casey waited until after her father left for work - then started calling her mother frantically - didn't get through - and then went to boyfriends. Which is more likely? How could all this activity happen around his house without him seeing anything. The fact that he claimed he watched them leave after lunch and Caylee was found wearing the clothes he identified doesn't match the evidence. GPS ON HER PHONE proves that. She never left the area until after 4. Hense - the duct tape was in his control (found in locked shed), and he knew the body was transported in the car (thus - he distanced himself from that). Not to mention that he sent his hired private investigators to find her remains - oh - that's right - it was a psychic! Good story George! I don't know if this is what happened - but it is more likely than what George claimed. Thus, reasonable doubt.

Robert   July 6th, 2011 12:29 pm ET

To add, don't forget what j.price of texas mentioned above. Her "past tense" remarks of getting the tattoo in rememberance of caylee, telling her cellmate how to make chorophorm.
Baez, I don't know how he did it. He was trying to protect his client and all she did was constantly throw him under the bus with her lies. I'm stunned that he had the constitution to stomach all her B.S. and still do his job as well as he did.

Richie   July 6th, 2011 12:31 pm ET

This result can be attributed to the jury selection process. Defense attorneys have great latitude picking jurors. For example the woman who said she doesnt like to judge. Prosecutor wanted her eliminated but judge bowed to defense wanting her in. The job of a juror is to judge ! The system is good .Its HOW the people applying it iswthat makes it one sided.

RoseR   July 6th, 2011 12:34 pm ET

I agree with the growing number of viewers, who after listening to the comments of the alternate juror (we thought...we agreed) that there MAY have been some chit-chat among the jurors during the trial. That is a violation of Judge Perry's instruction... so:

Margarita M. Pierce   July 6th, 2011 12:35 pm ET

I do want to thank cnn and hln for all their hard work in keeping us the public informed at all times about this case. I myself will always wonder, if Caylee was not murdered, who dumped her body in that wooded area. If Casey told Biaz that Caylee drowned and that she saw her in her Dad's arms, then from that moment on, what happened to the body. She has to know. What I would like to know if now they were to find out that Casey was the one who dumped the body, can she be charged? Ok once again Thanks for all and for ur hard work.

Myra Reams   July 6th, 2011 12:37 pm ET

There would be no point in buying any book written by Casey. It would only be fiction. All the lies she has told about everything{not very good lies at that} there would be no truth in any book or movie she did. I

Dan in FL   July 6th, 2011 12:41 pm ET

2 questions: Can Casey claim the cremated remains of Caylee, now that case is over? Also, would Equisearch be able to file a civil suit against her? (I don't remember who actually enlisted their help)

Georgia..Dos Palos California   July 6th, 2011 12:42 pm ET

Heartbroken by this verdict...To me it's the OJ trial and verdict all over again...I will NEVER understand how this jury could hear the same things I heard..and find this monster not guilty....Now she walks...So now like with OJ we have to sit back...look at her smug face..while she goes on and has a "beautiful LIfe"...All that's left is to honor that precious little her the love and respect her mother never did...and watch Casey start to take her walk into a life of hell..(tears for Caylee).....

Lori Geer   July 6th, 2011 12:46 pm ET

George and Cindy Anthony's worst fears have been realized, the monster they created has been released, guilt free in the eyes of the law. She if free to testify against them, with no consequences. She will have a trial in which she can testify. This is just the beginning.

D. Bonner   July 6th, 2011 12:49 pm ET

If this was such a Horrific Accident, as the alternate juror says and if this wasn't a pre-meditated Cold Blooded Murder, then WHY was there a need to put duct tape on that precious little babys mouth!?!?!?!

peter   July 6th, 2011 12:50 pm ET

i am sad for caylees death but i can understand how the jury found her not guilty. we did not SEE or HEAR half of the evidence against Casey. it was said over and over that the jurors would be looking at
evidence and hearing audio that we the news followers would never hear or see...ever ..they had access to stuff that the best reporter in the would could never access. we will never know what that info was but it must have been good to make the jurors say not guilty. i was glued to the tv waiting for the murder 1 guilty verdict or at least abuse of a child some kind of justice for caylee.

Rachel   July 6th, 2011 12:51 pm ET

One question I have is....Why is Casey being sentenced tomorrow? i mean, what did she lie about? As far as the jury is concerned she is not guilty. This is just so messed up! She will be released into the public again which discusses me to no end. She acts so relieved, yet her beautiful daughter is gone. ,..... Will she be able now to take legal action against the state of Florida?

JV   July 6th, 2011 12:52 pm ET

Everyone is outraged by the verdict, but how can you convict Casey of this crime when there is no direct evidence linking her to the crime. Although, there is a theory by both the defense and prosecution I think there is some truth to both sides. The prosecution did a good job of presenting what they could, but ultimately they didn't prove where, when, how, who? Jose Baez stated in his closing argument "their hoping this is what happened? Are they hoping for a conviction now?" You CAN NOT hope anything in a death penalty case. The prosecution should have been more realistic about their charges. I think if they would have gone with Aggravated Manslaughter/Child Neglect then they would have had a better conviction rate because there is obviously a crime that was commited.

Brent   July 6th, 2011 12:55 pm ET

I dont beleive Casrey Authony murdered her child neither. Her dad was a cop, investigated numorous homicides. KNows what to do an say in court. Also knows what not to touch so you dont leave behind evidence. Which could use to frame someone. He had all the keys to the cars that he also cleaned. Then there is the affair and the way he was coming back at the defence during questioning. Her mom admited to barring the family pet with a black bag an ducktape in the past..This is the way Caylee was barried an wrapped in.. This is what i heard while watching insession duting the case. Not everyone greives in the same she was on trial for the death peanility how would you feel.?? Then there is also the when where why and how sinario the prosicution failed to prove in court..Casey Authonys family is forever torn apart because of all this.

angela james   July 6th, 2011 12:57 pm ET

I know everyone is avoiding judging the jury. However, does anyone else find it suspicious that the jury seems to have made a pact not to talk? Add that to the fact that they did not ask to see or hear evidence, had no questions, one juror had cruise tickets for tomorrow, the speed in which they returned a verdict and that they had lost 3 holidays (including Father's Day) and 1/2 of the summer.......

This looks very suspicious. Maybe the jury decided not to give 2 more weeks of their time for conviction and penalty phase. Maybe someone on that jury convinced them that it would be overturned on appeal for some reason anyway.

Geema   July 6th, 2011 12:58 pm ET

I agree with the jury! I belive the father molested the child and hid the body until decomposition could hide all physical evidence. I belive Casey did know this and like she has done all her life, she covered for her father. I don't belive his suicide attempt was real. He just has a quilty conscience. His wife, his son , and his daughter are all his pawns. I also belive he had the affair because this is his life style.

gina   July 6th, 2011 1:00 pm ET

I believe a mother is responsible for the well being of her child. If casey can't be directly responible, then she should be held indirectly responsible for the death of her child. It's because of her actions or nonactions that caused the death of her child.

JV   July 6th, 2011 1:01 pm ET

I am with you. I knew she was going to walk. Nobody thought she would be acquitted, but where is the DNA/Cause of Death? They can bring in air samples, soil samples, and all this elaborate forensic evidence but cannot prove the most important evidence which is how, when, or where?

Deb in Austin TX   July 6th, 2011 1:04 pm ET

Since Casey Anthony will now be able to publish her story and receive other income from her celebrity, such as the offer already on the table to star in a porn flick...she should have to pay back the entities that spent so much funding searching for Calyee because of her lies. Texas Equisearch and others should sue her so they can use those funds to search for other missing children. Additionaly all the folks that she defamed by lying about them should also sue her for deflamation. Zanny, George, Lee, the boyfried she pointed finger at early on in the hunt for Caylee – these people should be compensated from her earnings so that they can start their lives over too. She does not deserve a "beautiful life" as her reward for denying and lying until there was not enough of poor Caylee's body left to autopsy and prove cause of death. This is a poor message we are sending to American children that it is ok to risk others lives, manipulate others by lying, denying basic human dignity to our dead, and then YOU WILL BE REWARDED.

Judy Hansen   July 6th, 2011 1:04 pm ET

I think the jury found the only verdict they could. Casey was found guilty by the media without any evidence and people being people believe all the crap that was fed to them. Did she do it? Probably but we will never know for sure.

Charles   July 6th, 2011 1:06 pm ET

One thing i don't understand is the parents reacion to the verdict. If that would have been my daughter who had just been aquitted of first degree murder and i truely thought she was innocent it would bave taken every court officer to hold me back from running up there to hug my girl. Not slip out the back door as her parents did.

Sharon Southwell Kremper   July 6th, 2011 1:06 pm ET

I have for 3 years. followed this case. My main concern was Caylee. I am so upset by the the point I think the justice system has failed. I have no interest any more in serving on any jury. Casey killed Caylee ....she took her sunshine away.. Casey got away with murder. It's like Caylee has had no right to exist.. Baez should be in jail with Casey for contining the lie.

Terri Lovett   July 6th, 2011 1:11 pm ET

I don't understand why the jurors thought George wasn't credible. I don't care if he had an affair, and if he did molest Casey, THEN SHAME ON HIM, but what does that have to do with Casey murdering (my opinion) little Caylee. I don't believe she drowned, or that George had anything to do with it. It was very obvious to me that George and Cindy loved Caylee very much and knew that they were going to be the major influence in her life. George is an ex-police officer and if he were involved, I would think he could do a better job of hiding a body that you didn't want found. And by that, I mean as a police officer, I'm sure you see and hear it all. Casey knew the swamp area and knew that people often dumped trash there, so what's one more bag. A coincidence that Caylee was wrapped up the way their dogs were when they were buried, I THINK NOT. YOU CAN SPIN REASONABLE DOUBT INTO IN SITUATION. I know abused adults that have not gone out and committed heinous crimes. If I were Casey, and I was facing the death penalty and in her jailhouse conversation with George and Cindy, I would have to tell my dad "COME ON DAD, TELL THEM IT WAS AN ACCIDENT AND GET ME OUT OF HERE." But she didn't, she told him how much she loved him and that he was the best dad ever. If my daughter were sitting in jail on the same charges, well she wouldn't be, because I would not have covered up an accidental drowning in the first place. If George was in on the cover up, and he kept quiet about it, being an ex-cop, why would he spill his guts to his mistress that he knew for such a short time? To me, the jurors were like new employees at (Walmart or any store), your boss tells you to go stock the shelves with this pallet of (coffee or whatever) and you are thinking that you have had these plans (concert tickets or vaca plans) for a long time and now you have to get this done in time. So being new to the store, you go to shelve the product and there are other things in the way, so instead of going through the "other things", you just get it as close to the spot as you can and call it good. No harm done, you did what was asked of you even though it was done in a hurried rush, because you had other things you did not want to miss out on. I think Casey has a long row to hoe, I think she will be like OJ and become a leper in her inner circle and people know that she is guilty. I have gone on and on, but my mind just skips from one piece of evidence to another and everything about this verdict is WRONG.

Diana   July 6th, 2011 1:11 pm ET

Does extra set of keys ring a bell? Does the fact that he was used to Casey running out of gas ring a bell? I am sick of people trying to blame him. He might be guilty of somethings but please... Casey just got away with murder... I say watch out George and Cindy you might be next on her list... Oh wait! No, she will get rich now from all the news channels paying her big bucks to come on their show and talk about it, or write a book about it (just like OJ ring a bell!) or make a movie! I think everyone should shun the B*I*H now! If there were any justice for Caylee, Casey will be struck down the day she steps her first foot out the door to freedom! There is no justice anymore in the criminal justice system... It all depends on who can talk and spin the better story or in Baez's case see how many times he can "CHANGE" the story!!!!

I think they should be charged for it.. her mom knew it but failed to stand up for her daughter, maybe she did lie to the cops but when your children is raised around mom and dad that lies they feel this is the way they did so why can't i, as far as these people suing her for all the time they so called volunteer their time,, suing her is wrong, Darlene Louisville KY

I am beyond disgusted at the verdict. Casey Anthony murdered her baby and got away with it!! There was more than enough evidence to convict her and the prosecution did an awesome job at presenting its case. These jurors were incredibly stupid and or lazy.
Poor Caylee who will never get a chance to grow up and poor George and Cindy because they were great grandparents whose only mistake was not realizing their daughter is evil incarnate and now are being crucified right along with her.........
My only hope is that one day Casey Anthony will get what she deserves.

Dorothy Acquaviva   July 6th, 2011 1:18 pm ET

I can't believe that Casey in free on murder charges. No mother parties and parties while their child is missing. I hope you sleep at nights Mr. Baez and Casey. That poor little girl was killed and Casey was the last one with her. All her lies and I believe the prosecution had enough evidence. I don't know how you picked the jurers, but I hear some of them should not have been picked. You all should be ashamed of yourselves for letting her free. She sure taught other murders how to kill someone and get away with it. Sad, so sad. She is sick and needs help really really bad. What is this world coming to.

windyblue   July 6th, 2011 1:19 pm ET

Casey killed Caylee, NO one else could have done this.
Caylee herself did not do this to herself. Casey was the last one to see Caylee. She lied, to her parents, police. And got away with murder.
I do not believe Caylee drowned in the family swimming pool.
She was murdered and dump in a swamp, woods like trash.
But Casey has to live with her guilt, and be hanted by Caylee death.
The evidence proved Casey did this. And Never even reported Caylee missing, she went out and party. For 1 month. Any real mother would have been out of there minds trying to find their child. Casey could have cared less. Caylee was in the way of Casey life, she wanted to be free, and did not want to take care of Caylee anymore. She wanted freedom. But Casey can change her name, go to another state, town,
and everyone will still know her. Caylee laid in that swamp for 6 months,

I think the verdict is outrageous. Re: where Casey should be released. I believe it should be Baez' home, since they have such a special "bond." She can give him his thrills and work off some of her monetary obligations to him!

geneva   July 6th, 2011 1:29 pm ET

NOT GUILTY, REALLY? no she is guilty it is just the fact that she had mone yshe got away with murder and it is sad the jury couldnt look at the facts of the case just her lies that they apparently belived. if it would had been a cold blooded killer thay would not have cared or had access the her stuffed animal or her blanket it was casey or atleast someone really close to her and the family knows it but all it is, is a cover up but i belive someone will give casey what shes got coming to her she is not untouchable just because the court let her get away with murder dont mean she wont get away street justice because there are alot of crazy people out there and i belive she'll have to look over shoulder for the rest of her life. that poor little baby i have watch in session for about an hour now a have not seen one picture of this poor little girl, but i hope shes able to rest in peace

debbie   July 6th, 2011 1:29 pm ET

First let me applaud the jury. They followed the instructions and did the job asked of them.I don't believe the Ashton team proved anything exceptthat she was a liar .I would bet that 99% of the people that say the jury got itwrong would be the same people who lie to get out of jury duty.Sunny keep up the good work, guarded as your answers are sometimes you try to be the fairest. With the reaction that the jury wouldn't speak to media after the trial, is it any wonder. No matter what they say they will be crucified by the media and all those who didn't listen to the trial but only there emotions.

Seegj   July 6th, 2011 1:36 pm ET

How tragic for so many. Although we may have the "best" justice system it needs to be reevaluated when a jury puts aside common sense because of ongoing rhetoric and the semantics of the rules and instructions of the law. .When a jury takes few notes, has no questions,
deliberates for a short time on a complicated case like this you have to wonder. A person can be a pathological liar, steal from everyone including "friends" ,throw their own family under a steam roller, waste OUR money and resources, ruin others lives, and if they keep silent, (except for lies...and that is ok) and find an attorney who cares for victory in court "justice" over truth, they can even murder their own baby! Is this what we are about. I think court justice should be intent on the TRUTH...which one person knows. I say we all boycott the books, movies, tv apearances, etc.
ANTHER THUG gets away with an atrocity....Reasonable doubt should include uncommon sense.and quest for truth...not hiding behind words and drama!

BBB   July 6th, 2011 1:37 pm ET

As I said on another blog; I dont believe that the jury in this case made a decision based on the evidence. They never spent enough time deliberating to come to that conclusion; so that leaves us with the good possibility that their minds were made up way in advance and the judge's "admonishments" were ignored as is the case many, many times cause it is human nature to socialize and with that comes discussion. Ms Anthony is the luckiest and the most despised woman in the USA. My suggestion to her is to go to Iran and hide behind a burka! Then I said Ms Anthony will get her comeuppance; she will be sued and already is in the process of that by the so called nanny, the Texas Equusearch that wasted their time and monies looking for a clearly deceased child when they could have spent there time looking for the many others that are still alive and/or missing. Hopefully these cases and pretty sure there will be others will eat up any kinda profit that this woman may get from deals on books, photos, movies, interviews etc.

geneva   July 6th, 2011 1:41 pm ET

if my baby was missing i wouldnt a minute 911 911 911 that is all she had to do if she was not guilty

stephanie   July 6th, 2011 1:42 pm ET

I never believed that Casey Anthony killed her little girl. There was not enough evidence to prove that she murdered her little girl. I am glad that she was aquitted because it would not have been fair for her to get the death penalty for something she did not do. My prayers are with her and her family. I hope that Caylee does get her justice and that the truth comes out. This was a sad trial that the media should have stayed out of! RIP CAYLEE MARIE ANTHONY!!!

GG in Clermont, Fl:

Placing a blanket and stuffed animal with Caylee, etc., are the actions a Killer, whether cold or warm-blooded. What your comments states is that you think she killed her, but she is not cold-blooded.

darlene   July 6th, 2011 1:47 pm ET

The person who will make the most profit from this is Jose Baez by being able to name his price as a defense lawyer. He is a bright defense attorney. He knew exactly what he was doing by taking this case.

I believe that the jury did as best they could with what they had and he also knew they had no concrete evidence to convict Casey Anthony. He saw his opportunity and he took it.

Anna   July 6th, 2011 1:48 pm ET

This is a travesty of justice. There is no justice for Caylee Marie, her murderer is going to have a life. These jurors never considered evidence, they made their minds up at the beginning of opening statements and just wanted to get the process over with. There is no way they could review all the evidence in only 10 hours. So they, just as the defense team put George Anthony on trial for his murdering daughter's act.

My heart goes out to George and Cindy Anthony for the terrible accusations their daughter made just to get sympathy for the atrocious acts she committed upon her daughter.

I heard one alternate juror give his opinion stating that all 17 thought it was a horrific accident. How does he know what all 17 thought if none were to discuss this case, except in the deliberations? As the defense said, SOMETHING IS WRONG. Casey was the last one with Caylee, it doesn't take Einstein to figure out the "WHO DID IT"!! The Psychopath Casey will lie to her dying day, no one will ever know how Caylee Marie died.

cmcnaul   July 6th, 2011 1:49 pm ET

I have said ever since they started interviewing jurors for this trial, that the prosecution would have a hard time proving Casey murdered her daughter, because the evidence did not include a "smoking gun". They proved Caylee died, and circumstance, weak as it was, and the place and condition in which they found her remains only proved death. Not how, not why, nothing.
And I find it absurd how the hosts on In Session never once made that point, when they were supposed to have been lawyers?
Maybe that's why their hosts, I don't know. I think the law enforcement made mistakes, I think the prosecution failed presenting their case. And as long as we walk this earth, we will never know what happened, and with all the science we have today, Caylee's death will remain a mystery. A sad day in this crime of the century.

Bill   July 6th, 2011 1:49 pm ET

I believe that the prosecution was out to make a "NAME" for themselves by bringing Casey Anthony to trial with so little evidence that pointed directly to her as a murderess.

(We recently had a case of a 20 year old murder, in this area, a man was brought to trial based on a cigarette butt found laying in the parking lot, at the time of the murder, the cigarette butt had the mans DNA on it, but no one knew when the cigarette butt was dropped there. This man frequented the store and was a good friend of the man who was murdered. He was found not guilty based on the flimsey evidence presented). This was a case of making a "NAME" for the prosecutor, she was promoted to head prosecutor within three weeks, because of her "Good Job" of wasting the taxpayers money.

In my opinion, the more likely senerio was that something happened to Caylee while she was staying with her grandparents, (like drowning) and the father, being a police officer?? decided to make it look like a murder, knowing that the prosecution did not have enough "hard" evidence to gain a conviction.

I also believe that Casey Anthony was a pawn in this senerio whether it was with her knowledge or without, I would not venture to say, (probably without).
With the situation, these days of grandparents taking care of their grandchildren, it is very possible that Casey did not know what had happened and made up those lies to try to save herself.
I think that the next step the prosecution should take is to investigate the grandparents. They may not be guilty of anything but based on some of the things that I heard and saw, during the trial, I would say that there is a good chance.

Linda Harrington   July 6th, 2011 1:54 pm ET

I hope this proves to everyone what I have dreaded for a LOOONNG time. In this country we'er STILL innocent until proven guilty. The likes of Nancy Grace and others on HLN took it upon themselves to be judge, jury, and excecutioners to a lot more people than Casey Anthony!!!!!!! The whole country found her guilty....I don't know how, by a preponderance of the ridiculous eveidence, a guilty verdict could have come of it. Glad it's over don't want to hear any more about it.

Patricia Messina   July 6th, 2011 2:03 pm ET

Mistakes were made and there is nothing we can do to change that. The verdict is the verdict, but we don't have to buy into helping Casey get rich, I hope if there is a movie and book deals the nation Boycott's them.

cmcnaul   July 6th, 2011 2:04 pm ET

furthermore, my opinion, I think Casey used cholorform (sp?) before to put Caylee to sleep so she could go party. She didn't have the money to hire a sitter, couldn't take Caylee to her folks without getting into an argument about Casey's bad behavior. Except this time it was too much, or maybe Caylee had been given some allergy medicine or whatever, and Caylee died.
I think the tape was placed after the fact, and I don't believe Casey disposed of her daughter's little body all by herself.
Casey was partying with some heavy hitters, it only came out once of hanging out with some characters of questionable reputation. Then we never heard that again. Someone whom Casey knew, knew how to remove evidence without leaving evidence. They were careful to no leave evidence of cut marks, etc to get Caylee's body past the soft tissue stage of decay; any evidence of her death would be gone. Then put her remains into another environment with the duct tape to where Casey could create her story how her daughter disappeared by a kidnapper. Sad, too sad, I hope we can all move on now from this story.

Judy   July 6th, 2011 2:17 pm ET

The system got rail roaded by 2 people.George & Cindy they conned the state. At some point G&C knew what casey did. They then Duck Taped and transported caylee body to make it look like an abduction to protect casey. They then had their private investigator with recorder in hand go to the area where they left the body. The state did a song and dance with the Anthoneys on one hand making them victims,The state should have had Cindy & George sitting next to their daughter being prosecuted with Josy Biaz representing the Anthony family. Josy did a great job,he presented what was told to him by his client,he knew George & Cindy were liers,&were with holding evidence. He did distance himself from them, unlike the state did.I agree with sonny hostin george was not crediable on the stand. If George&Cindy are not charged with the cover up,hiding evidence, lying under oath, lying to law enforcement, misleading law enforcement, having citizens & law enforcement doing searches looking for a child they knew was deceased when so many other children are truly missing. Its an insult to tax payers for our tax dollars to go towards the fraud that The Anthoneys pulled on the state. They need to be held accountable. Now thats justice.

Renee   July 6th, 2011 2:25 pm ET

I hope that the City of Orlando, the State of Florida, Texas Equusearch, and all others that were involved in searching for Baby Caylee when she was "supposedly" missing, will be able to sue "Casey Marie Anthony" when she starts to make money from interviews, book deals, movie deals, and whatever else she makes money from, off of the exploitation of Baby Caylee. In Baez's opening statement he said, "Caylee was NEVER missing!"

Joan   July 6th, 2011 2:57 pm ET

wasn't one of the jurors found napping during the trial? I will buy the book Aphrodite Jones writes about this case but none other that may benefit the Anthony family.

Diane Sower   July 6th, 2011 3:04 pm ET

I believe George Anthony perjured himself concerning his relationship with his mistress. He could have cleared up that supposed conversation he had with her by being honest. I do not think he had anything to do with Caylee's death or cover up, but he may have thought it was accidental that Casey left Caylee with a nanny, and then it went bad from there. Why would that woman take the stand, when, she obviously didn't want to be there, and, she was shaken by the whole experience? Nobody in that family tells the truth. We'll never know what went on in that house. I believe Casey suffocated that child, but do not question the jury when they felt they didn't have sufficient proof to sentence someone to probable death.

Diane Sower   July 6th, 2011 3:08 pm ET

Another question: Why did the Anthonys never want to know the paternity of Caylee. And why, when Casey said he died, did no one follow up with her to get Caylee Social Security benefits? Those people are nuts. And why, when Casey told her mother she wanted to adopt the baby out when she was born, did her mother not listen to her and do the right thing? Obviously she was not mother material, and obviously that child would still be alive had she been adopted by people with the means and the love to care for her.

Tom Bishop   July 6th, 2011 3:17 pm ET

Why was Casey Anthony not charged with felony abstruction of justice?
I think that there would be a conviction of this (better than the misdameaner convictions she got).

Lisa   July 6th, 2011 3:43 pm ET

I think that ANYONE that can file ANY charges against Casey should at least try. I think Cindy should be charged for lying because she tried to change the out come of the trial and she did. George lied about the affair but who wouldn't? She cost a lot of people a lot of $$$ She accused people of things that were not true. Zenaida Gonzalez, good for her for serveing her. George and Lee should charge her too look what she did to them. As for the The Texas Equusearch go for it! and go for more. For the time spent unnecessarly when your help was needed on others who needed you. This is not a game! I'm sure she is loving every minuet of this knowing she got away with another lie. WHAT ABOUT JUSTICE FOR CAYLEE??????

Aaron   July 6th, 2011 4:26 pm ET

Of course she is guilty, because how do you not know what is going on with your flesh and blood for 31 days and instead of out looking for her, you are out partying. That is chils neglect no matter how you look at it. She is just as guilty if she did not do it as the person who had. This little girl is garbage cause no real woman would throw her family under the bus for her lies, Nor never report her daughter missing till the mother starts asking question. I do not understand why child welfare never got involved in this case as well. Yes the State drop the ball big time and let this scum go free.

Jaqualine Rowe   July 6th, 2011 4:32 pm ET

I feel very sad and disappointed in the the Anthony decision, but this won't be the first time for disappointment in jurors decisions! No names mentioned......

Renee   July 6th, 2011 4:39 pm ET

Ok people, stop speculating where "Casey Marie Anthony" will go tomorrow when she is released....she is going home with Baez!!! Didn't you watch the "relationship" between them?!?!?

R.H.   July 6th, 2011 5:46 pm ET

Casey got away with murder. Look at everything and put it together. She did not want a kid. She could not have a good time, she could not keep her sedated 24 7. You dont lie and throw the body away if its an accident.

skittles   July 6th, 2011 6:22 pm ET

This jury has decided not to talk, because first of all they are embarrassed of their decision. Secondly, they will write a book...mark my words the "Jury is trying to cash in on the death of Caylee Marie". Please boycott the Jurors book.

Debra   July 6th, 2011 6:49 pm ET

Only 12 people thought Casey was innocent.I think the jury just wanted TO GO HOME

lyle   July 6th, 2011 6:52 pm ET

Well said Linda !!!!! There ought to be a law against slander TV..

1) She already had her lifesyle in effect

2) She police were derelect in their duties (why is tv not pressing this point)

3) The only one ever shown to use that duct tape was George.

Donna   July 6th, 2011 7:07 pm ET

Truly, we have to give this jury credit. These people who are out there saying if they were on the jury they would do this or that. Undoubtedly, the evidence was not there. Now whether she did it or not, we have to realize that these people gave up their time and tried their best to come up with a verdict based totally on evidence. It was not there. Now the harassment they are receiving from the public. Some of these people have never served on a jury. I truly believe however, that her lawyer started this whole thing when he said that the news media has totally swayed the public into proclaiming her guilty. This, in fact, made the news media irate. Now they are on the war path. I truly hope that Casey get away from her dysfunctional family and joins something where she will volunteer helping others – perhaps go to another country get a new name and volunteer to help unfortunate people.

Renee   July 6th, 2011 8:39 pm ET

"Casey Marie Anthony" makes OJ look like a "Saint"! The Jury did not find her guilty because they were tired, they wanted to go home, Blah, Blah, Blah! If they had found her guilty, then they would have had to stay longer for the penalty phase. The one lady had a cruise coming up, she didn't want to miss that. They rushed to judgement ....WHICH is a bunch of bologna!!! They took an "Oath" they should have abided by it.

I'd like to know too, like some of you have stated, this "alternate juror" that is now speaking out, is saying things as if the jurors "were" talking to each other, which was one of Judge Perry's rules about what NOT to do. So, it sure sounds to me that they were talking to each other. Guess nothing can be done about this! Of course, they didn't want to talk to the media, they were too scared to be confronted with the truth....They messed up!!! Disgusting!

I don't blame George and Cindy one bit for getting up and leaving when they did. WHY would they want to "celebrate" in their "Pathological Lying Daughter" being found not guilty, plus, no "Justice for Caylee".

walter martin   July 6th, 2011 8:50 pm ET

I believe justice was served in this case the way it was presented. Do I believe that Casey Anthony is not guilty of this crime? No, I actually believe that her and her father George Anthony and whom ever else they had helping them had a hand in covering it up. I do believe it was "An accident that snowballed out of control" as George Anthony and many others have put it and made a bad decision in trying to cover it up! I am a Christian and I do believe its in the hands of God and He will impose His will on the people whom are responsible for Caylee's death. The prosecution took a gamble and went reaching for the stars to get the death penatly for Casey and got shown up because of pride. This case wasn't about justice it was about making history and ohhhhhh look at me! If the prosecution humbled themselves and realistically charged her for what honest evidence they could use then they would have most likely had a better outcome.

Laurie Young   July 7th, 2011 8:04 am ET

If law enforcement would have responded to the FIRST call by Mr. Kronk maybe we would have heard some solid evidence about how Caylee died and who killed her. Maybe there would have been DNA in August. Let's put some blame on law enforcement for that. If Casey has to reimburse the county for all the investigation costs, I hope Baez reminds them that they slipped up in August!!!

Linda   July 7th, 2011 8:50 am ET

The jury made the wrong decision and I believe their only reason for coming to such a speedy and wrong verdict is because they did not want to spend more time on the sentencing phase that would come after a guilty verdict. One juror had a cruise to get to and did not want to have to come back. The others had been away from home for 6 wks and wanted to get back to their lives.
They evidently never used their common sense. The child was dead. She did not kill herself or put herself in that bag. She was last in the custody of her mother who lied and will probably always lie. Connect the dots and mom did it.
Casey is a sick woman and I hope she never has another child because we may be back again. She will be a little smarter in getting rid of the child the next time. So sad for Caylee, the forgotton victim, who will never have a life due to her mother.

Mr X   July 7th, 2011 8:50 am ET

I have an important Question???????

Will there be an investigation by law enforcement on the jury. I mean, it seems as if they are all trying to cash in and that makes me think that maybe they knew that if they rendered a NOT GUILTY verdict the price for their story would be in demand more so than the GUILTY verdict...........

Kim Giddinge   July 7th, 2011 9:27 am ET

Casey Anthony just got away with murder and now her defense attorney's are arguing that all the lies and 4 different counts should be reduced to 1 in lieu of double jeopardy...? I feel like I'm watching an episode of the Twilight Zone,,,, unbelievable

Amy   July 7th, 2011 9:28 am ET

I haven't been able to watch in session or anything even related to this trial. How do you come to that decision in only 10 hours. That poor baby rotted in a bag for 6 months. She deserved better. I can only say that she will not be acquitted when she stands before God. I just cannot understand how the jury made these choices. The baby was in a bag, she partied she laughed, and danced and had a great time. The prosecution did a fabulous job. Even if they couldn't convict on first degree, fine, but obviously she had something to do with it. She wanted to be free, even if it was accidental by drugging her, that is still child abuse, felony murder. What did they not hear,or not see. May God have mercy on their souls too. One woman said she cannot judge others. When you are a jury, you are basically a judge. This is insane. God must have plans for her, himself.

Kathy   July 7th, 2011 10:03 am ET

Did I understand right $1000 fine for each count? If so, if her time served is over, will the $4000 fine have to be paid before she can be let out of jail?

RoseR   July 7th, 2011 10:40 am ET

HEY! Now that Casey has only misdemeanor charges against her, hopefully they will make her spend the last of her jail days in population! Maybe there can be a little jail house justice on behalf little Miss Caylee Marie and wipe that smirk off her mother's face!

Sparkle   July 7th, 2011 10:43 am ET

wonder if that offer from a distant relative from Texas is actually someone who is luring her. She will not feel safe for a long, long time.

Tanya   July 7th, 2011 11:11 am ET

how can Casey come into court smiling, I know she is just happy that she has been found not guilty, but her child is still dead..... she should be mourning the loss of her daughter, not smiling because she is free, if she didnt do it, she should be behaving like a mother who still doesnt have answers to who killed her child.

Nancy   July 7th, 2011 11:32 am ET

This jury was the perfect storm of 12 people who were too lazy or too ignorant to actuallyTHINK and put the pieces together. They would not have convicted unless they had a video of her duct taping Caylee and throwing her in the swamp. This is an example of why innocent people get convicted and guilty people go free.

raidersn7   July 7th, 2011 11:43 am ET

remember when u think she guilty 12 people the most important to her said not guilty, now can we here other news now??????????????

Ricky Sylvester   July 7th, 2011 11:46 am ET

Jeff Ashton and Linda Drane didnt have a strong enough presentation to convince the jury. They based their arguments on Casey's Lieing and partying actions. A much Stronger Debate could have been an aguement of (Neglect) which is a form of child abuse which she was acquitted. Casey Anthoney did not know where her child was and made lies to cover even that, saying that Caylee was with her nanny (Zanny) the last time she saw her, but Caseys nanny doesnt exist. The baby sitter is a lie, a made up woman. Every Parent should know where their child is and what their doing. Only an irresponsible Parent could lose their child like that. So who was Caylee really being watched by? Why did Casey Anthony Keep Quiet in Court and lie instead of cooperating with law inforcement to help solve her daughters case? (GUILT) This trial flipped from solving the case of a childs Death to aquitting the most crucial leader of evidence of any wrough doing. If it was infact an accident it was covered up by (whom)? If it was a kidnapping/murder who and why? This infact was a homicide with duck tape covering the childs mouth, who was stuffed in a bag and thrown in a swamp to decay. The killer is still at large as a result of the aquitted accusations of Casey Anthony.

sarah krause   July 7th, 2011 11:48 am ET

I leave my daugher for 4 days and I feel sick to my stomach she goes 31 days with out her child and parties. Can someone please explain how the jury would find her not guilty on neglect? Putting everything else aside the garbage bag the disposal of the body. Her attourny said she knew baby drowned in the pool. Is this not neglect? You go out drinking and deside to drive with you friend in the car and he or she dies you go to jail for an extended period of time and get charged with manslaughter. So im quite confused. They can prove that she killed her but its neglect if what she is saying is true about the baby drowning.

Brenda   July 7th, 2011 12:20 pm ET

Having served on jury 3 times, once as the floor person. I have question. If it can be determined that there was ANY JURY MISCONDUCT can she be retried under Flordia law?

Brenda form California

Mary   July 7th, 2011 12:21 pm ET

I am wondering if the Anthonys and the Defence cooked up the charges against George and Lee and the Drowning to make more confusing comments to the jury ?
The parents seem to be too happy about every thing now. If my kid lied like that about me, I would be so mad and I would still love the kid but I would never speak to them again, Your reputation is shot to hell.
You could possibly lose your job and never be hired again. Your neigbors would chastise you. You would be living a life that would be unbearable.
And I do know that they are happy she won't get the death penalty and I would be also. Life in prison would be fine.
BUT something is amiss here, all this new info didn't come out untill 2 months befor trial. I think it was all made up with the parent's and Lee.
And they all lied to save her. Sounds phoney to me.

linda   July 7th, 2011 12:23 pm ET

I find due jurors' failing to reexamine any evidence and having spruced up their attire on closing arguments day I suspect a consensus was formed to put an end to any further torturous travesty of a defense yielding a further loss of pay and possibly media money to mitigate their lost pay. Also, replace "reasonable" with "logical" and require prospective jurors to provide definitions to key words to insure some spark of intelligence.

Charlie   July 7th, 2011 12:23 pm ET

1) If new evidence is found, can Casey be retried? Isn't there no statutes of limitation on murder?
2) If Casey was the last person proven to be with, in charge and control of Caylee, couldn't she at least be charge with aggravated child abuse as Caylee was found dead?

linda   July 7th, 2011 12:38 pm ET

Additionally. I suspect she lied to buy time for the body to decompose and/or destroy any DNA it too late for obstruction of justice charges?

Tesa Ambrosino   July 7th, 2011 12:44 pm ET

Im so sick about the result of this case and have followed it for 3yrs. I'm wondering being she will be out next Wednesday just what she will do and Caylees birthday is right around the corner....what will she do?? Will she just act like she has in court with no emotions? Prob she will act like she never had a child! "If" she is claming to be sooo innocent then you would think she would speak up and try to explain herself or try to to something productive and fight to prove herself, I dont see that happening due to the fact she threw her whole family under the bus! She has nothing and wheather she knows it or not its "not" because she has lied and has sooo many enemies now......its because the day sweet Caylee was gone thats when she had NOTHING!!

Renee   July 7th, 2011 12:51 pm ET

Just as the In Session team (Casey Jordan?) was talking about this morning, one of the ways that we can get a little "Justice for Caylee", is to NOT watch any of Casey Marie Anthony's interviews, do NOT buy any of her books, do NOT buy any of the magazines, do NOT watch any of the movies.....I for one will definitely NOT be doing ANY of this! Boycott "Casey Marie Anthony".....this will be a big blow to her ego and she just might crawl away somewhere, doubt it, but we can keep your fingers crossed!

brit   July 7th, 2011 1:00 pm ET

Baez repeated over and over what a good mother Casey Anthony was, I suggest as she is going to need a job when she gets out of jail, he should hire her as his personal NANNY to watch over his kids, while he goes out and defends another LIAR.

Miriam   July 7th, 2011 1:31 pm ET

In hindsight, someone should have defined "reasonable" to this jury.
Definition is "rea·son·a·ble  –adjective
1. agreeable to reason or sound judgment; logical: a reasonable choice for chairman.
2. not exceeding the limit prescribed by reason; not excessive: reasonable terms.

lee   July 7th, 2011 2:05 pm ET

i am really sick about this...when they told her she wasn't seemed to me...that she was forceing herself to cry.......she didn't cry like that during the trail....i don't understand how she got away with it.....personally, she needs to be fixed so she can't have anymore children, look at all the lives she has disrupted....why didn't they make her take lie dector test, pr sodium penathal, or even hymotisis, (sorry for the spelling) some how everything got turned around and no one fought for (caylee). it didn't take her long to start laughing after the session, she seemed just makes me sick about this and how caylee really died. also....the judge sent a man to jail for giving the finger plus fines.....what about the attorney who was giving someone the middle finger also....he needs to go to jail also....and fined. i know that karma will come back and bite her......i cry just thinking about how caylee died and if she did one will ever know.

Renee   July 7th, 2011 2:08 pm ET

To Tanya: Thank you so much for saying what I was thinking this morning! How could "Casey Marie Anthony" walk into court smiling and being so happy this morning, with her hair down?!?!? Yeah she's found not guilty, but Baby Caylee is dead! She should be mourning the loss of her daughter, BUT she has NEVER mourned the loss of Caylee. She proved that by going out and partying it up, going shopping, etc. in those 31 days! You're right, she should be behaving like a "loving" mother who "supposedly" doesn't know who killed her baby.

Leonard Twaskas   July 7th, 2011 3:08 pm ET

Now that the murderer has been found innocent we now here from all the experts what the prosecution did wrong and if she was found guilty we would have heard what the defense did wrong it wasn't any of there fault.I believe she got away with it is because the majority of the jury were there for the wrong reasons they didn't care about Caylee they just wanted to be able to say they were on the Casey jury and when it was over and they had to decide they had no clue about anything they heard for 6 weeks,or no guts to make the right choice lets just let her go the hell with Caylee and lets go home and see how much money we can make on this.

Renee   July 7th, 2011 3:34 pm ET

Judge Perry will not need to release the names of the jurors, THEY are going to do it themselves!!! As was proven yesterday, the one female juror went to ABC News already. They are ALL going to get their 15 minutes of fame and will be paid money for it. So, just wait a few more days and the rest will be revealed.

Connie Gingerich   July 7th, 2011 3:40 pm ET

What happened to the right to privacy? Those jurors gave up a good chunk of their lives while sequestered for this trial. They heard the case that was provided to them by law.

They were not privy to all of the information the media sensationalized. If the names are released against the wills of the jurors, who will want to serve on a jury in the future?
Should potential jurors have to fear the public if they find someone 'not guilty?'

What happened to the 'assumption of innocence until proven guilty?' This is our system, we have to accept the decisions of the jurors. Otherwise we may as well just go back to mob justice.

I also do not think it fair that someone can be tried and convicted by the media before they even get to trial.

The media has a responsibility to provide true information to the public and not to 'incite' the emotions of people one way or another via sensationalism.

Everyone in this country has tne right to a fair trial. With media these days, it is going to get even harder to find an unbiased jury, especially if they have to fear for their privacy and for their very lives...

esther   July 7th, 2011 3:57 pm ET

what is there to read i n her book? all the lies? she wont tell the truth, i think baez needs to take a lie detector test.

there was no justice for caylee, so why are they celebrating??????

nita   July 7th, 2011 4:30 pm ET

Do you think we will ever hear her say she intends to go out now and search for Caylee's killer since she has been found not guilty? I wonder if that thought has crossed her mind? If I were she, I think I would rather stay in jail until public sentiment dies down...But presently, jail might be a bit dicey because of her acquittal. Right now, she is very much hated and I do not think life won't be as beautiful on the outside as she might envision. From her personal appearance and perkiness this morning, she looked as if she was ready to get back out there today. Those former friends....perhaps they're going to be there for her...or will they have moved on in their lives and pursuing other interests. It's so sad. Truly, there were no winners here.

MikeLe   July 7th, 2011 4:48 pm ET

Is there any way Casey can be charged in federal court? Couldn't she be charged with depriving Caylee of her civil rights involving her death? Heck, she lied to keep police and her parents from making sure Caylee was alive and safe! I hope a federal prosecutor here in Florida takes a look into this before next weeks release date! Couldn't she be charged with 31 counts? One for each day she withheld information regarding her daughters walfare and safety?

marcia   July 7th, 2011 6:27 pm ET

I know my first post on here will not be a welomed one but that's okay. Casey has served her time as of next Wednesday. I hope she does the following, and in this order:
(1) Finds a great advocate who will try to help her rebuild her life
(2) Will immediately seek in depth help for her mental condition.
(3) Will keep as far away from her mother as possible. (At 17, her mother still treated her like a child and obvously has issues with being in control constantly. Clearly she just wanted a "do-over" and a new babydoll for herself, forcing Casey to continue a pregnancy she clearly was not prepared for). Cindy gave little thought to her daughter's already declining mental state. People called Casey the narcissist. Casey is not the Narcissist, Cindy is. Casey would have to be catergorized more as somewhere between a psycopath and a sociopath. Being forced to continue on with a teeen pregnancy, I believe, is where her rapid decline began "snowballing".
ALso, I would like to have heard more about the fact that Cindy was able to have forced her to have a baby she was clearly not ready to have. Hummm, why was this oinly mentioned once? Obviously this was one time when an abortion would have been by far the wiser choice and would have been less paiful for everyone involved.

Eleanor   July 7th, 2011 6:50 pm ET

For Vinnie,

I am in a quandry about the jurors. I hate to say this but I think the jurors are just plain dumb. If she is not guilty of a crime then what did she lie about. I know she took the officers to the Universal Plant, but what was the lie? That she did not work there include the other things she was accused of lying about. Zanny, just a joke, etc. She did not commit a crime, according to the jurors, so what were the lies (crime). How could the things they found her guilty of be considered a crime (lies). Maybe she was just having a " grand ole time." Now if a crime had been comitted by her, then she was lying, but according to the jurors she was not guilty of a crime, so therefore she was not lying.

San Carlos, CA

The crime she committed as far as I am concerned was killing her CHILD. The jurors cannot have it both ways. or is my thinking faulty?

Lindsay   July 7th, 2011 6:59 pm ET

I think that the morale of this story, that might reach a large amount of mentally sick people out there is simply this,"if you kill someone just use gloves, put them in the trunk until you find a good spot to stash the body, then throw some pizza to decompose in the trunk, and make sure no one finds the body until it's completely decomposed and then there won't be enough evidence to be held accountable, and your scott free!" absolutely sick!! God rest sweet little angel Caylee Anthony, she is innocent and resting with our lord, which is more than I can say for Casey!

Cindy A. Hidalgo   July 7th, 2011 7:02 pm ET

Please America dont be shocked. We have been sold the Brooklyn Bridge, bamboozled, and shafted by the whole Anthony family! The only thing that I think that we should do is boycott any monetary ways that she her family and the Juros can do. I will NOT buy or watch anything that has to do with this tragedy. No the people do not want to hear from Casey or any of them. Give the Anthonys the jurors phone numbers and they can tell each other whatever LIES they want. Im sure the jurors will believe them. Kudos to Linda Drane Burdcik today. What a hard worker. I admire her and Mr. Ashton. I WILL buy their books. Im funny like that, I like to hear the truth. People please boycott any books or movies that the Anthonys or JURORS put out there And Mr. Mason the jesture you made to the media, public and Mr. Tim Miller , the same to you and more of it !!!!!!!!!!!

Rhubert967   July 7th, 2011 7:14 pm ET

There are 17 people that live in Florida that missed the train for brains. 12 of them inparticular.
Everytime we hear of a horrible crime it seems to be in Florida.
"The Sunshine State"

caith   July 7th, 2011 8:02 pm ET

One of the reasons she got off is that she is young, nice looking, buxom, and not a minority.

Barbara   July 7th, 2011 8:20 pm ET

One more thing, George & Lee if what Casey said was a lie then the both of you should sue her for defamation of character. She threw both of you under the bus in a horrific manner.!!!!
Especially you George b.c the case became about you and not being as truthful on the stand as you should have. Honestly you embellished too much and the quirk remark "Oh I think that's funny to your answer of having an affair. Not needed !!!! And if you did have an affair SO WHAT the trial wasn't about you and when asked "Did you ever molest Casey" You should have emphatically said NO and then said I detest and am appalled as a father and human being that you and/or Casey would accuse me of such an horrific thing .......Just Saying. you might have come off abit more genuine and honest.....

Faith   July 7th, 2011 8:22 pm ET

Ok, so she is not guilty. What happened to Caylee Marie? She just got up one day, walked down the street, put duct tape over her face, crawled into a bag and laid down to die. This sickens me but I do believe that Casey will get whats coming to her. She is so going to get into trouble again because her parents and her family are in such denial that this girl has no consequences for her actions.

Dan in FL   July 7th, 2011 8:33 pm ET

I for one hope that SOMEONE will give Casey a chance at going about living a productive life with an honest career, etc.

I think of it this way. If no one is willing to give her the time of day, or a legal means of income, then it's only a matter of time before she needs to resort to more nefarious or criminal means in order to survive. Then even more people would have to suffer and become victims of her for no good reason. I think that would truly be a dishonor to the memory Caylee.

Silvia   July 7th, 2011 8:46 pm ET

This is a horrible time for little caylee, there was no justice. SO now it is her time to start paying back all the money that was spent to the State of Florida. I am just wondering what she will do next, she will get in trouble again or maybe kill another baby!!! I am so upset!!!!

Lynne   July 7th, 2011 8:57 pm ET

I think George Cindy Lee and Casey are liars and are all Great Actors.Did you see the smile on Cindy's face when the verdict was read?? Now Casey is supposed to go back to a normal life; What is normal for her??? Check fraud Mr Mason you better lock up your check book if you are planning to take her home with you till she finds shelter.. Or a Pretend Job .Oh thats right Cindy will take her back and they will both leave George.. I suspect Caylee took the winnie the pooh blanket from her crib then went to the garage climbed up on the work bench got down the canvas bag and plastic trash bags oh don't forget the duct tape then walked to Surberban Drive and put herself in the swamp!!! Do you think the jury would understand that!!!!!

Nick   July 7th, 2011 10:21 pm ET

The jury which i have dubbed, The Stupid 12 has allowed Casey to now live on blood money of her daughter, i'll tell you why. I have listened to 3 jurors since the verdict and all 3 have somehing in common, they all stated george was involved and or it was an accident. There was no evidence at all that george was involved and there was no evidence that it was an accident. In the opening Baez saud it was an accident and george was involved, the Judge said you CANT use an opening statement as evidence, so this jury did use it as evidence. There was NEVER any evidence of an accident so my question to the jruy members who say they think it was an accident, tell us where it showed in the evidence it was an accident. This jury took this case as a direct evidence case as opposed to a circumstantial evidence case. They didnt go back and go over the evidence, they couldnt have in 5 hrs of diliberations. They say just under 10 hours but by the time they got the case, had lunch went through the charges, it had to be a few hours. That would leave them maybe time to take a vote and ask each member why they came to that conclusion, Now it's 5:30 pm and they are let go for the day. Where did they have time to go through the evidence? It is sad that Casey and her family will now be able to live off the blood money of little Caylee, I just hope they all have to buy medicine with it.

shawn Morse   July 7th, 2011 10:35 pm ET

This verdict in the Casey Anthony Case is more reason for the media to back off from cases they feel will gather attention, let justice happen quietly. If this case was not under a media microscope a different verdict would have been possible. Sensationalizing the death of an infant brings us as people to an all time low.Shows like Nancy Grace are in bad taste and clouds our justice system. In addition the coverage of this trial makes it possible for a child killer to profit. The world would be a better place if we didn't know so much about Casey Anthony.

Rick Lasnier NC   July 7th, 2011 10:38 pm ET

I'm currently watching the Joy Behar show and she's interviewing Jeff Ashton. One thing I was thinking of and I don't know if this came out during the trial. When Casey's friends would ask where Caylee is, Casey would tell them she was at the Nanny's. I wonder if they thought it was odd to have a nanny because Casey was living at her parents' home and they could have baby sat Caylee instead of paying a nanny. And did Casey ever tell her parents that she had a nanny for Caylee prior to Caylee being missing for 31 days? If she had, I would think a red flag would have been raised because they would have wondered why she had a nanny as well. Was Casey ever asked by investigators how long this nanny was supposedly employed by her to watch Caylee? Rick

Class action suit against the il·lit·er·ate (ha ha) jurors, think it's impossible? In Casey's world it would fly.... how else could it happen that a person can admit they were with a child when she dies, then the child is found in a SWAMP six months later in garbage bags with duct tape on her skull and yet you're found "NOT guilty to even the lessor charge of aggravated child abuse!!!!!! I agree with Miriam clearly they (jurors) did not know the definition of "reasonable" !!
Oh, and for anyone who says "Only George had the duct tape so he must have known something" no not really because I can go into my Fathers garage and use and take anything in his tool box...including duct tape and gas cans!! BOYCOTT anyone including the jurors trying to make money off of this horrific injustice!!

Carole M   July 8th, 2011 6:39 am ET

Someone should check into the Kronk/girlfriend story. Girlfriend really work at jail and overhear Casey tell Beaz where body is....Beaz hire Dominic Casey to find body but not tell police...leave it there to rot so there is no evidence! Will the judge follow through with Beaz for contempt of court and report to Fl bar...or is all that a mute issue now that she is found not guilty? Will we ever know the truth??? Reasonable doubt has tripped up a lot of cases..look at the paperwork...for a jury of regular folks who have not been versed in the law in any way!

Judy Bachman   July 8th, 2011 9:40 am ET

I believe if you do a crime in Orlando, then you get a jury from Orlando. Caylee didn't get to pick a jury now did she. When they went else were to pick a jury I new Little Caylee didn't have a fair chance. All that trial was about was lie's & more lie's. Baez & Mason should hang there heads in shame. Now Baez has ssigned for movie's, ete. He only took Casey for his own out come, he thinks he is gonna be another Johnny Cockran. Baez is in love with Casey & it showed all over his face. He would look @ her with coo-coo eye's. But , what go'es around comes around. She is so hated, I really don't think she'll see Christmas.

It seems obvious how Casey killed Caley. She wanted to go and party so she cloroformed her to make her sleep and put the duck tape (with the red heart over her mouth) so if she happened to wake up she couldn't start screaming. She placed her in the trunk of the car in her blanket. Casey didn't realize that she had given Caley to much cloroform or possibly the duck tape stopped her breathing. When she got back to her and found what she had done she pannicked and just drove around with her in there for several days not knowing what to do and then dumpted her in the woods after she put her in a laundry bag from home. She parked the car near the dumpster and left it when her dad was notified to pick it up.

Danielle   July 8th, 2011 9:48 am ET

For those of you who are angry, did you actually watch the trial? I didn't know you could put the death penalty on the table just because someone is a liar or because their daughter is" missing "and they are partying. Maybe it was an accident maybe it wasn't, bottom can't charge someone with murder and possibly put them to death just because you don't like them. If anything be angry at the prosecution for coming to court based on maybe's and possibly's and this is what we charge someone with murder they should have been saying this is what happened, it has been proved beyond a reasonable doubt, here are witnesses (that aren't also liars) and here is all the proof. The defense fought and they won because their was no proof of anything.....P>S> stop hating a complete stranger. Don't you have kids of your own to take care of.Hopefully you are teaching them that trials are based on proof and evidence, not based on hatred revenge and dislike. and hopefully if your own child is in that situation regardless of what they have or haven't done, hopefully you stand behind them, instead of helping the prosecution kill your child. Her parents are fake>>

Betty   July 8th, 2011 9:50 am ET

This is not right. It looks like they are going for the drowning that was not proven. What was proven is what the jury didnt find. Murder!!!

margaret   July 8th, 2011 9:52 am ET

I just heard Cheney Mason saying what he learned about Casey in the last three yrs. He said" she is smart, inteligent, quick and likable." To me he discribed a con artist. after all if they were'nt all of those thigs they could'nt con anyone. No doubt when she goes out into the world again she will not change.

Danielle   July 8th, 2011 9:54 am ET

also give the jury a break. They went into this with no prejudgment as they should. they went into this believing that she was innocent until PROVEN beyond a reasonable doubt guilty...they did what they are suppose to inorder to give a fair trial, not talk to anyone,, not talk to the media not watch or hear anything about the case prior or during. Because of all those things, they did not already dislike her or already believe she was guilty. ....that is how she had a fair trial. Their was no evidence. thank God they can't convict people based on feelings towards that person.

Ann Stoudenmire   July 8th, 2011 9:56 am ET

How can you say that Cheney Mason "defends the defenseless" when Caylee is dead, undefended. How ironic...

alice peterson   July 8th, 2011 9:56 am ET

Jose Baez , Cheney Mason and the other members of the defense
team for Casey Anthony are not defenders of the justice system, they manipulated it and twisted it, until it was unreconizable. They are the
flip side of Casey Anthony, She is a sociopath and liar. She is a murderess, and they
ferociously got her off. What does that make them? They did not care what wreckage they created
and what damage they did the the legal system. Jose Baez piously
lectured the public about "saving a life...." Casey Anthonys. The life of
Caylee Anthony apparently had no meaning for the defense and wasn't worth more
than a few days in jail on misdemeanors. Honoring life?, He and his
"team" are a disgrace. They are actually as scary as Casey.
The jury is a reflection of the long "dumbing
down" of our society and media influence, with the result of no real
reasoning skills.
The only saving grace in this mess is Casey Anthonys psychopathic personality. She knows she
gamed the system and no doubt is filled with her sense of power
and victory. She will not only not change from this experience, she will
overstep, and will be back in Court , and the next time, hopefully, a more
cunning prosecutor will keep her in jail .

Pat Frank   July 8th, 2011 10:03 am ET

Cheney Mason drank too much Casey kool-aid". I believe she is the one who threw her parents & brother "under the bus"!!!! At one time, I felt sorry for Cindy . I am the very proud grandmother of 7 beatiful granddaughters!! I could not stand by my child if I were in that position & my daughter agrees with me that a mother would not do that, if she truly loves her child. When Cindy got on the stand & LIED, my sympathy for her ended!

Danielle   July 8th, 2011 10:06 am ET

Why would she also get judged for how she is mourning her childs death now. ?? She has spent the last 3 years unable to mourn, or was she suppose to do that on national television from inside a courtroom while fighting to save her own life. Don't they tell you to try to control your emotions while inside a courtroom? Maybe she can mourn now maybe she won't, who knows. Maybe she got the tattoo " A beautiful Life" for her daughter. Maybe she was partying so much trying to bury in her mind what had just happened to her daughter. Maybe's probably's i think i believe.....not enough for a GUILTY charge, I do know that

Sparkle   July 8th, 2011 10:13 am ET

It surprises me that Casey's attorneys can feel safe, or their families. With all the uproar it's a wonder someone hasn't threatened them. As Mason said, 'there's a lot of kooks out there'-he ought to know, he just got one out of a murder charge.

Anne   July 8th, 2011 10:21 am ET

Cheney Mason is a hipocrit! I just heard him interviewed calling those of us who believe she is guilty, which is the majority, small minded, pirahnnas, and countless other names because we felt the evidence WAS there. That is OUR right and OUR RIGHT to voice our opinion. He salutes the constitution and saving Casey Anthony's life, well if he really wants to do some good, let him find out what really happened to that poor baby, that is HER right, JUSTICE! He can't really believe that defense they gave, they got lucky to find 12 people who didn't understand the instructions or wouldn't take the time to review the evidence because they wanted out of there. No notes were taken and only 11 hours of deliberation on a complex case like this, please!!

pauline   July 8th, 2011 10:24 am ET

Icant believe they let a murder out ,,she is evil ,if she really love her daughter, she would of kept an eye on her , the drowning would of never happen if she was watching her ..all 3 of them are guilty of her death , how can you tape your own child and bury her in the back yard just like your animals..if she didnt want to be a mother anymore all she had to do is give her up to socal services to place her in a good home where she wont be abuse by the grandparents and mother ,how can she let her own dad touch her daughter.shame on her ..and on the parents .she will have to live with the guilt of killing her own daughter .and stop parting like a street whore .

terik   July 8th, 2011 10:32 am ET

If Mason believes that Caylee drowned,Why would her mother throw her body into the swamp????
Give me a break! Why hasnt anyone asked him that? He turns my stomach,Not to mention Baez even tho hes calmed down a bit he still is a worm.
The jurors dont know diddley.and were in such a hurry to go on vacation or ? How could they ignore all the evidence? I dont know how any of them will be able to sleep nights.
Casey has the hots for Baez! What a pair.haha

pauline   July 8th, 2011 10:44 am ET

this is so strange ,,they knew where she was at all time .. the missing thing was a hoaxs ,they plan this so he wont havetoface jail if they find his sperm on the child .the grandmother knew of this and so did the mother of the child .. they made sure she was decade so they cant get no evidence of his ,, she didnt want to be a mother at all the family was invalled in the death ..the mother of the child had the shovel in her hand ,what more do u need ,its sad how florida can release a murder .its shows the guilty goes free .God see all of this she needs to ask God to forgive her of her sins for killing her child..she will face hell .

Denise   July 8th, 2011 10:52 am ET

Like many around the world, I am also VERY outraged at the final verdict in the Casey Anthony trial. I know how deeply touched people are by the injustice for Caylee Marie and how emotional it has become for so many. However, I think those protesting are just adding media fuel to the fire. I think if people want to protest to make a bigger statement, they should just walk away and not give Casey the satisfaction of knowing that she is being highlighted. I'm sure she is thriving on all of the attention, which is more than she deserves. I say STOP, walk away and forget about her, in the same manner she did for her own daughter. Don't let Casey capitalize on this tragedy, either by media attention or finacial gain.

Kim   July 8th, 2011 11:07 am ET

Casey Jordan, what is wrong with you? CMA can't "go off to college" as you suggest.

Tell us, where is her high school diploma?

Let's not be foolish!

nanci   July 8th, 2011 11:12 am ET

i cant believe they didnt at least charge her with indangering a child or child abuse, I mean if you slap your child you could be arrested, casey was in charge of the child. I think she will pay for her murder in another way, she may be laughing and aggravating people right now, she and her lawyers but she will pay somewhere down the line. She had no regards for her little baby, I also think her parents is who help let her off, by lying for her and throwing everyone off, when they knew their daughter is a con, a liar and a murderer. When she needs police protection in the 17th is the tax payers gonna pay for that or she has to pay for her own security.

nanci   July 8th, 2011 11:16 am ET

i just cant watch the decision by the jurors, it get me sick all over again, I am praying she meets what she gave to cayle. She thought she was getting out and was all bubbly and happy and even flirting with biaz, but the 17th is no time. Cheney and biaz is he ones who helped release a killer, and I hope to god she pays for killing that little girl, her payment going to be so bad.

Lynne   July 8th, 2011 11:48 am ET

Judy I agree with you about if you are charged with a crime in Orlando you should be JUDGED BY YOUR PEER"S IN The Same County!!!The next story from this Family will be Caylee did this to herself to get Away from this CRAZY FAMILY:::::::

Rhubert967   July 8th, 2011 11:50 am ET

Give Me a break!!! What family today and in the past has not been disfunctional. Since when is that a free pass to committ any crime??? much less murder!!! I for one am praying that justice outside the prision system will prevail.
Who in there right mind will want to be associated with her????

Elizabeth Schinski   July 8th, 2011 11:57 am ET

I've been thinking, allowing Casey to walk free may be her death sentence. She said it herself. "Everything has been taken from me". As usual she even twisted that around, she gave it away, no one took anything from her. She has a huge void inside her and all the lies, all the pain she has inflicted on the country, even getting rid of her own child will never fill it. She is what she is and she can't change. Even if she gets a million dollars from books or movie deals, we know how she will spend her money. If she does find a guy who has been living under a rock it will only be a matter of time before she does something criminal again. Aquitted by nature, killer by design.

Rebecca Papierniak   July 8th, 2011 12:24 pm ET

I sooo wish someone would answer my question. I watched most of the trial and am so puzzled about the swimming pool accident "evidence". What exactly was that EVIDENCE? Not what JOSE said but true evidence. Thank you...I need to find some peace in this mess.

Mary   July 8th, 2011 1:46 pm ET

What is the matter with people? I did'nt realize that there is so much hate in the world. People talk about evidence, they bring God into it,well Casey was found innocent! With the evidence and/or lack of it,and if you believe in God,well practice what you believe. God wants mercy, not sacrifice! Casey should not have to fear for her life, she paid her debt to society for what the courts found her gulty of !

Karma   July 8th, 2011 1:59 pm ET

I am stunned that 12 Jurors found Casey innocent. They said there was no evidence of her guilt, WHAT! They obviously didn’t listen to ANY of the evidence. When: Caylee died June 16, 2008. When: Casey threw her in the swamp June19, 2008. Where: Trunk of the car. Why: Casey wanted to be free to live the beautiful life. How: Chloroform & Duct tape. If Casey is innocent, who do the Jurors think killed Caylee? That is one true and fact they can’t deny, Caylee is dead. If they think it was an accident they obviously didn’t follow the law, there was no evidence of a drowning. According to the LAW opening statements are not evidence. Can the Prosecutors argue Jury misconduct?

They didn’t take notes, they fell asleep, they sat with their feet up like they were at home watching a movie. All they worried about was snacks in the jury room and where they were going for dinner. The verdict makes me sick do you think the Jurors would let Casey watch their children? Would Jury misconduct override double jeopardy?

Michelle   July 8th, 2011 2:16 pm ET

What goes around comes around. I am a firm believer in Karma, and Karma is going to hit BIG on Casey, and her parents. Who in the hedouble L wouldn't report their child missing. Casey's parents did everything to protect Casey so she would get out of this. Casey needs to seek a very good plastic surgeon and change her name before "going on with the rest of her life". If she were to move into my neighborhood she would quickly be moving out. She is a killer and her parents helped cover it up. They taught everyone how to get away with the perfect murder.
Where is the Justice?

joan elliott   July 8th, 2011 2:38 pm ET

Did any one see Mason laughing when the prosecutor did the closing? No one is talking about all the insult Jose made when addressing Mr Aston? bottom line this white pretty young girl is as guilty as sin.

Renee   July 8th, 2011 3:35 pm ET

IF the Jury had taken more than 10 hrs, 40 minutes, 33 seconds to decide on the verdict, guarantee you, it would have been different! They didn't look at ALL the evidence, they couldn't have in that short of a timeframe. They just didn't want to! When Jean C. was commenting on what the Jury was doing (not taking notes, leaning back, fiddling with pens, falling asleep, I knew then, that they were NOT paying attention to the evidence. The State presented a brilliant case, and it's sad that there was no "Justice For Caylee".

Eleanor   July 8th, 2011 3:43 pm ET

who is going to care about Caylee? A liittle girl whose final resting place was a SWAMP. Does the attornys for the Defense not care. I wonder how Jose Baez or Cheney Mason would have felt had it been their child and the Prosecution presented the evidence that they did? Would the evidence have been sufficient? The jurors, how would they have felt re: their own child?
We need to stop thinkink solely of ourselves and think of others. With the evidence that was presented, Casey was truly guilty. I am not too much into the Analyst and pundits, I like to listen to the evidence and that is what I did. Casey got awaw with murdering her own child. A child killer went free to do it again when push comes to a shove.. A sorrowful stat we are in.

San Carlos

Elizabeth Schinski   July 8th, 2011 4:38 pm ET

This comment is to Rebecca. I hope you find peace as well. Sadly, I feel I will not. To answer your question, the Defense showed pictures of Caylee walking up the ladder to the swimming pool, a picture of her opening the door (that was supposedly locked, per Cindy) and that was about it. I also think the jury was in a coma, except for the showing of those pictures.

Paula   July 8th, 2011 6:45 pm ET

You asked me Baez and his team paid off one of the Jurors to throw the case. The jurors did not do their job. They should have at least examine the evidence up close and personal. At least look at the clothing the baby was wearing. They should not be allowed any high road, they did not do their job. no respect. If the jurors sons that said she hopes if one her sons ever get into trouble. She better hope that jurors do what she did not do. She lost her concern upon her doing what she did in this case. In the end, lets just boycott any one that hires and pays this woman a massive amount of money to talk or anything else. That"s the only thing left in our power to control.

caith   July 8th, 2011 6:53 pm ET

If it was an accident, so be it. I can accept that. What I, as a 68 year old woman, can not accept is that the child was thrown in a swamp for the animals to eat and no one is being held accountable.

I blame the prosecutor for over charging this case and most of all for not including "abuse of corpse", etc. in the charges. He was so arrogant that he did not cover his bases. Haughty hubris...shame on him.

susan teeter   July 8th, 2011 9:07 pm ET

Initially I felt sorry for Cindy but after seeing the way she has enabled that nightmare of a human being she birthed they deserve each other. They all lied manipulated, attempted to blame others, and I do not feel the family was really cooperative with the police. Let them all live together they will end up killing each other.

Caroline Lezama   July 8th, 2011 9:25 pm ET

Look at that picture of Casey Anthony, the face of unadulterated EVIL.

John Carlson   July 9th, 2011 9:13 am ET

This jury worked as well as the grand jury in Fort Myers Florida in the Double Murder case of my sister and neice who were stabbed 22 times and 25 times. And seven months after the DNA came back and the murderers DNA was on both knives and under the fingernails of my sister and neice. And 2 weeks before my neice went and got a worthless piece of paper called an injunction for protection and in it she wrote that he threatened to kill her and her mother. And 2 weeks later they were both dead. And the Grand Jury said that was not enough to Indict!! Duct tape on the mouth from family? Accidental death or not? When you put the duct tape on her mouth it made it murder and you were liable!

Denise   July 9th, 2011 11:09 am ET

Rebecca, I don't think any of us will find "peace with this mess", it's just too baffling! The only real reason Casey will walk soon is because there was no real 'hard' evidence that would prove her guilty. Without DNA, without fingerprints, without hard evidence to prove that Casey actually had her hands on the murder weapon and physically killed Caylee, she will walk. But we all know, based on the video evidence and her actions/reactions in the early part of discovery, that she did have a hand in the death of Caylee. That is clear! The swimming pool so-called accident is just another lie she invented to protect herself. The only thing that 'snowballed out of control' was Casey's lies in an attempt to conceal her guilt. What a tragedy!

loretta paxton   July 10th, 2011 5:16 pm ET

I do not undestand people that say they want to hear what CAYCEE has to say. DO you really beleive that she will everellnything but a lie? I will not watch any show she or her lawerys becuase they all told lies.

skittles   July 11th, 2011 1:04 am ET

It appears that this jury was lacking common sense and any intelligence what so ever. This jury was lazy, unmotivated to even look through all the evidence, this verdict was OJ all over again. I hope they are happy when the killer is out there lurking among us and making millions off the death of her child!

skittles   July 11th, 2011 1:08 am ET

Rebecca, that is just it the whole "evidence" of swimming pool accident only came from Jose Baez mouth and a picture of the swimming pool ladder and a picture of Caylee standing at the sliding glass door trying to open the door. That's it, and to me that defense lawyer of hers only had innuendos and accusations and nothing else!

Denise   July 11th, 2011 1:38 pm ET

News flash, I just learned from a reputable legal source that Jose Baez is known as a "shady" lawyer in the state of Florida and is not well liked or thought of in the community. Maybe not a true news flash, and I suppose we all kind of figured that one out considering the source from which he was hired by Casey Anthony (thru other jailed inmates). With that status/reputation, wonder what this trial will do for his career?

debbie   July 11th, 2011 3:04 pm ET

How can you know she lied about her child's whereabouts to everyone, including authorities and not find her guilty of child abuse at the very least! I thought the O.J. trial was a rare example of stupid jurors, but now this miscarriage of justice. Common sense means nothing anymore. Casey Anthony got away with murder, and managed to destroy quite a few other lives in the process. Disgusted. The jury clearly did not act according to the judges directive as far as testimony.

Pat Travis   July 12th, 2011 9:42 am ET

At present there is a petition circulating to have Casey Anthony tried in Federal Court, which I presume does not violate the double jeopardy rule. Why has this not been discussed on your shows? People are outraged regarding this verdict and hopefully this petition will be recognized and she will be tried in Federal Cour

Bonnie Nero   July 12th, 2011 11:36 am ET

Some of the commentators as well as the jurors in the Casey Anthony trial don't know what they are talking about.
Casey and Caylee weren't missing to their family back in June and middle July 2008...Cindy regularly got texts with, when the car was picked up from the tow yard....and when the smell was detected...George did not call the police......knowing their daughter....perhaps they thought she,Casey had killed someone else...and until finding out where she was etc.....they weren't going to implicate her!

Ryan D   July 12th, 2011 1:16 pm ET

I know what happened to Caylee Anthony. The true story that only takes a teenager to realize and not a group of 40-year-old district attorney's on a rampage to just convict Casey. Casey making up "Zanny" the Nanny is where it started. I believe she was referring to Xanax the benzodiazepine used to treat anxiety and also used for sleep. She would give Caylee small doses of Xanax and tell Caylee, "here comes Zanny the Nanny to make you nap". She either gave it to her in small pill form amounts, or she would sneak it in food. She would leave her places while she went out with friends knowing Caylee was well asleep. I heard that Caylee was now getting older and beginning to talk, she could expose her lies, which made me put this all together. Xanax is a very powerful anxiety pill and has extremely high cases of repertory failure in larger mgs. A small female child would need probably no more than two milligrams to possible have repertory failure. If you heard the medical examiners the cause of death was repertory failure but they could not put a link to what made her stop breathing, weather it being drowning, suffocation, or overdose. I am not sure exactly how long a small female child would need to be dead for, until the drugs are out of her system but I know it would not be too long, and I know that she did not even report her missing until 31 days later.... Why did she not report her until a whole month later?

dena   July 12th, 2011 10:03 pm ET

Why would some-one wrap the baby in her blanket -use duct – tape with trade mark letters that can be trace back to the Anthony home – cloth basket & bags found in her home -dress her in a pink shirt she was last seen on June 16,08.?? by her grandfather – " George" no shoes found at the discovery site. This has the sign of an accidental death. A rush to hide her body – no one would murder a child and cloth her in things that would tract the police back to that person- she would have been place in bags with noting that would lead – back to any-one and not be place near her home where she lived. There was no tape found on her face or nose – the tape was found near bags and her matted hair near the skull. To call Casey a murderer is not justice for caylee when no one can say for certain how she died – her Grandfather a former cop would not have depose of her re-mains in this way. The Jury got this verdict right

mylieoncemore   July 13th, 2011 11:31 am ET

To Vinnie and Mike Brooks.
You two seem to know more than anyone on this show and I appreciate all your hard work. Casey Anthony is forever guilty and most of the world agrees. Why can't we find out if the juror's did something unlawful or find a law that can change all this. I can't believe we are letting people who murder walk our streets and have the same rights as we do. The jury didn't as for one peice of evidence and yet they state there was not enough evidence. They took very few notes and then asked themselves " what was that again?" They were not jury material letalone death penalty qaulified as some have said. I can't believe in the system when we openly state the system didn't work for this case. Mike and Vinnie I love you both and I love Vinnie getting into it like I do............keep it up!

wendy   July 13th, 2011 6:53 pm ET

Bonnie Nero,I agree with you 100%.I think that is exactly what happened!
too bad we weren't on that jury. justice would have been served!

Oh yeah, and hidden in a plastic bag!!!

judy davis   July 15th, 2011 5:14 pm ET

this latest manuver of mr. biaz is absolutely the most immoral ploy since he accused the grandfather of the death of caley. justice is blind and it sure was in this case. not only should everyone involved sue her(including her) dad but they should include biaz in all the suits.

sierra walters   July 17th, 2011 3:58 pm ET

i hope there will be justis for caylee but i know casey is free so people should just leave her alone and let her live her life

Ever since I joined this blog, I have been bombarded with spam. I wish it would just stop! Casey is free and the only thing that remains, WHAT HAPPENED TO CAYLEE??? I urge everyone to stop giving Casey the attention she does NOT deserve! Who cares where she is!

Connie   July 28th, 2011 2:29 pm ET

Soon will forget about Casey one is interested in her anymore, and not even the porn directors.....the jury set her free....but the public opinion is more important ,,,and we know that she killed her daughter to have a 'dolce vita' as her tattoo in her back said. she is going to be in hiding for the rest of her life....!.

Dane Michael   July 28th, 2011 8:13 pm ET

Since you seen on the TV news verdict forms in the Casey Anthony trials history longest that was June 16, 2007 before Caylee Anthony used to live her Mother for a while then she gone into heaven. Casey is walking away her life look like freedom. So that I dont know she is doing now she private free interview and show in the somewhere city.

All you people that keep stating she was guilty did you actually sit in the court room every minute of the trial? If not you sound like ignoramuses. You do understand that right? How can you have even an ioda of an opinion if you were not there. Did you read the trial transcript? Darn people get a clue and don't sounds so stupid!!!

i was just wondering, since caseys defense was wrapped around the idea of an accident, and mr. biaz opening statement seedmed to give details of an actual event , will or is an investigation going on into the comments made by him?? I know casey is a liar but it just seems to me that that should still be looked into, they should pull casey back in for questioning and actually get from her own mouth what mr. biaz was referring to..

Hi Vinnie
I watch your show every day, and also that of Jane Valez Mitchell and Nancy Grace, and I always find you all very interesting and informative.
this is about Casey Anthony, and although I know there is not much that can be done now that she has been found "not" guilty (totally wrong), I still would like to make this comment.

After hearing the comment that Chaney Mason made before he became a member of the defense team, it leads me to believe that the Jury was paid off to find her not guilty, I really think that the Jury should be investigated on this matter, since they didn't do any deliberation on the matter and came in on day 2 all packed and ready to go home, they knew what they were going to do before they ever went to deliberations, it stinks of jury tampering, and I hope that they will try to do something about it , I think the lawyers all got together and paid the Jury members to save face. the defense had absolutely no case , yet they won and I along with millions of others are really sickened by this.

hopefully she will get probation for the other crimes , and at least pay something for the life of her beautiful little girl. she is not fit to live in Society, and I am sure someone will get her in the end.
thank you

Casey got away with MURDER! She killed her daughter and now she is "Free". This verdict was a travesty of justice. What in God's name were the jurors thinking? Did they just want to go home? If so, that's too bad. That was their obligation.. Think about poor Caylee and what she went through at the hand of her mother. I, as thousands of others are sickened. But, Casey must have eyes in back of her head...FOREVER!

Hey Casey! Have you met the devil yet? No.... You've got a lot to look forward to!
