Lindsay Lohan released from jail

Posted: 05:04 PM ET

Los Angeles, California (CNN) - Actress Lindsay Lohan was released from the Lynwood Correctional Facility early Monday morning after less than two weeks behind bars, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said.

Lohan was released at 1:35 a.m. (4:35 a.m. ET), Los Angeles County Sheriff's Deputy Benjamin Grubb said. He said she was taken to a treatment facility. Full Story

Consider the Facts (not the Special Interests)– Lohan's lawyer showed she had Substantially Satisfied probation while striving to remain Employed. ALL random drug tests had been negative over her entire 3-year probation, and she was given flexible class permission by the Treatment Center.

Tabloid media simply ignores fact and publishes trash because it sells. This trash can actually shape opinion because trusting people believe some of it. (Same tactics used by Nazis and Clan).

Her dad has pleaded with the court since 2007 to investigate the Doctors who were writing her prescriptions for mood drugs, which are known to cause impaired and erratic behavior.

She would obviously benefit from Court Ordered Rehab – to break the prescription drug dependency caused by these Doctors.

Since Lindsay Lohan was released from jail after just 13 days, it would be interesting to see if the next person sent to that jail serves longer time than 13 days. If so you can bet her celebrity status was a factor in her light sentance. Or better yet, why didn't they let someone out with a similar crime that was in longer. The Lindsay Lohan story is a joke. The average person would have been in for the whole sentence, Oh, but not a celebrity. Give me a break!!

Seeing she only served 13 of 90 days.. im gonna old the state and judge responsible if she dies from drunk driving or drug abuse.. shes the worlds greatest actor and to just throw here back out into the drug jungle of LA... is irresponsible.. why even sentence her to 90 days when she doesnt even get two weeks.. is that all that happens? 13 days.. seems like drunk driving is worth the risk esp. in this economy... thanks for clarifying that..

Latoya Ransom   August 3rd, 2010 12:14 pm ET

I don't think that that was right letting her only do 13 day in jail.I don't think that she has learned her lesson she is going to be doing the same thing when she gets out of rehab. Only God can help her and she has got to seek him first.I'm praying for her.

What a joke.. Any other person "other than a celebrity" would still be in there, and I thought this judge said she would do her whole time.. Nad they can't blame it on needing room because according to them she has housed in a separate area in the jail that is for celebrities.. I bet she doesn't even stay the full 90 days in rehab.. I hope some attorneys are getting their clients that have the same charges as Lindsay, out of jail..

I think it is wrong how screwed up the court system is. How they show favoritism to the so called elite. The same way they showed favortism to Michael Douglas son. I think it is wrong and the State Attorney Office need to investagate.

Regarding the special treatment Lindsay got (getting out of jail early)...In the end...that special treatment is what's gonna HURT Lindsay. And I think that's why these stars are more likely to wind up dead from alcohol & substance abuse...Because they don't learn anything when they're either getting let off the hook–or rewarded for their bad behavior! I hear that Lindsay might be getting her own reality show after all this is through...Pulleeze!

Bravo to LL for remaining clean and sober in spite of the odds and trashing. "saunhi", thank you for your statement. I feared that this media and public trashing of Linday Lohan might possibly compromise her own efforts of recovery or at least maintaining her probation requirements. If a person does have a problem with substance abuse don't people realize that trashing her and calling her horrible names, spreading these lies could "turn" her to mind altering substances to cope? Get a grip, people!
It is to LL's credit that, in spite of all the abuse, she stayed strong. She never should have been in jail at all!
The woman missed a few AA meetings and did the rest of all that was required per her probation. She works and travels as part of her work. How many people were just angry that she was in Cannes and they weren't?
People want to trash those who have more than they do, and the media, as saunhi said, want to "simply ignores fact and publishes trash because it sells."
Shame on all of you.
I wonder were all these hateful comments are for Charlie Sheen, the alcoholic who BEAT and threatened his wife with a weapon and walks free? Sheesh...

in my opinion i believe she should of done her whole time because that would show that it doesnt matter who you are or how much money you have she is a danger to others when drinking and driving. the law needs to be and stand as the law. this just showed that its ok to drink and drive who ever does it next its ok because you would probly just do a week or two but who cares right thats what they made it seem like. im disappointed lets hope LL does something good with her life

cheryl   August 5th, 2010 3:19 pm ET

this is sad this woman serve no time for all she did. she hasn't learn her lesson she going to do something else.becasuse her money is covering her real problem. and so is the law. someone black and poor would still be in prison. God see the injustice and he will judge!

What is Lindsay taking so many perscribed drugs like delotted she don't need heroin what ever her situation is. She need to take rehab seriously and she don't need to be popping pills to deal with life she needs to find herself if she want a career. But she has to want it otherwise it is no good. Good Luck!

Tony Reeves   August 6th, 2010 1:20 pm ET

all i know basically from experience is that LL needs to remain in jail and see how it is like to be below average and have nothing.these drug programs do not work most of the time, especially for celebrities who have the income to get whatever drug they want and are always surrounded by it. if she remained the whole 90days, she would have learned a valuable life lesson.im just 29 and i partied like a rock star years before, but there is a time to grow up, take responsability, and get the partying behind u.im on alot more life threating medication, have been for years for my serious back condition.after seeing what this is doing to everyone i decided to come off the meds and pray.i seek chiropractics that actually help now. now these celebrities get these meds passed around like candy.all LL needs to do is focus on her life and stay away from party scenes for a while. i did and now im alcohol and drug free by my choice.i never was told what i had to do, i chose.but she cant choose so someons needs to for her

David G   August 8th, 2010 10:39 pm ET

Celebrities will always get special treatment. No matter what you or I say or yell or post on message boards, this will never change.

sheilana   August 9th, 2010 12:55 am ET

So just leave her alone and live ya'll life to the fullest cause you never kno when god will you home. also ask yorself jopw much does god mean to you

What's was the point of sentencing her to 90-days in jail and releasing her after just seriving 13 days???
What will it take for these judged to abide by the sentences they set, one of these spoiled rich kids to kill someone.
EVERYONE should be held accountable for their actions, including celebrities, politician, judges, etc...
Lindsey is still drinking, using drugs, and not attenidng treatment as ordered by thge court. I work with drug addicts and alcoholics on a daily basis and is very familiar with the SCRAM braclet.
There are numerous ways to still drink with that SCRAM braclet on and not be detected and Lindsey has found a way, trust me!
It's a disgrace!
