No verdict yet in shootout trial that killed 9-year-old

Why was Damon Darling just casually sitting around with an AK47 if he was not expecting trouble? By having the gun with him, the shooting was premeditated and he should not be able to claim that he was standing his ground and acting in self defense.

If Darlings went to purchase a gun, he needed it for a reason. I feel all three men contributed to this innocent childs death. They all admitted to shooting, so they all are responsible. There was no need for a trial to take place they all are guilty by their own statements of shooting at each other. A young life lost because of who wanted to be the toughest.(stupid). Could they not see they was in a area with children around.Yellow man as they call him was in area he wasn`t familar with, he did not go to buy weed, he went looking for darlings and thats were he found him.Darlings knew he was being hunted so thats why he got a gun a A K-47 at that.,He was looking to do some major damage.And it happened an innocent child. God Help us all.

This is very sad thing to happen any were or anytime. Why does It take for a child to die to outrage us about what goes on in cities all around the world. How are people getting the weapons and why is it no concern this did not happen in a war zone it happened were our children play. We as a people have to say enough is enough and not let another person die needlessly!!!!!!!

Has any of these people EVER lived in the hood??? Im a very successful white woman and i make plenty of money BUT I have been poor and had to live in public housing and its a whole different ball game and the rules are different rather we like it or not!!!! Its not like our gated communitys with big beautiful houses and bright green lawns! Its a race to survive and its horrible that you people look down on others because they are brought up in different circumstances!!!!! God will judge all who pass judgement .

I hope this innocent child life will will in some way help us to get all the thugs and AK47 off the street. we have people working to make Liberty Square Housing development a better place for us to live, work and play but we need the help off the community to make all our neighborhood a safe place for all to live. I know the family is hurting just to let them know Liberty City community Leaders love you all and will continue to be here for you.

This is ridiculous. So how do you defend your self from this guy? With a pistol.?.?.? The only thing this guy did wrong was being a felon with a gun. Proud owner of 5 assault rifles and a 50 caliber FOR SELF DEFENSE.

I can only say i feel for the victims family. The child is actually in a much better place although i know the family misses her and is devastated as i am a mother of a grown child and i girl a couple years older than the victim. We have all gone crazy to allow people to own ak 7s and all that killing stuff.If I needed 5 assault rifles for self defense I would find a deep hole and hide in it . These jerks will all wind up 6 foot under and I hope it wont be too far in the fuuture,

People never think twice when it comes to having a weapon . Very sad situation. Very sad story. My heart just breaks when I hear stories like this one.
