ORLANDO, FLorida–There are a multitude of questions in the Casey Anthony case. Some questions may never be answered, such as who is the father of Caylee.

Casey Anthony in court

Florida’s public records law gives us a look at police files normally not available in other states at this early stage. Hundreds of pages of police reports and records have been released in Casey Anthony’s case. As I read and analyze these documents, I found references to Caylee’s mystery father. This is what I pulled out of the investigative and supplemental reports which were recently released, starting with Casey and her parents denying her pregnancy.

On August 21, 2008, investigators interviewed Rick Plesea, Cindy Anthony’s brother.  He told investigators that he got  married in June 2005, and when Casey Anthony arrived with her parents, Cindy and George, Plesea was surprised to see that 19-year-old Casey was well along in a pregnancy. He told investigators that he took George and Cindy aside to ask them about it.

According to Plesea, the Anthonys completely denied that their daughter was pregnant; rather, they reportedly told Plesea she was just putting on weight. Plesea was incredulous, especially since his sister is trained as a nurse. Caylee Marie was born two months later on August 9, 2005. Caylee’s birth certificate does not name a father.

During the course of the investigation, detectives learned from Casey’s friends that she has named three different men as the father of Caylee.

On July 15, 2008, the day the investigation began, detectives asked Casey about Caylee’s father. Casey told them his name was Eric (she gave no surname) and that he died in a motorcycle accident in Georgia in mid-to-late 2007. Casey said she had an obituary but couldn’t recall where it was. Cindy Anthony told investigators this was the same story Casey told her about Caylee’s father. Cindy said she never met Eric.

Jesse Grund was first interviewed by investigators on July 23, 2008. Grund dated Casey from the end of January 2005 to May 2006; they were engaged during part of that time. During the early part of their relationship, Casey told Grund she was pregnant and that the child was his. After Caylee was born, Grund paid for a DNA test to prove paternity. As it turned out, he is not the biological father of Caylee. Grund provided investigators with supporting documentation.

On October 9, 2008, investigators spoke with Melina Calabrese, described as a long-time friend of Casey. The two were best friends in high school, according to the police report. Melina and Casey both worked at Universal Studios in 2006. Melina told investigators that Casey first said Jesse Grund was Caylee’s father (even after the DNA test proved otherwise).

After she and Grund broke up, Casey changed the story and said Caylee’s father was someone named Josh, whom she said she met at Universal Studios. Casey described it as a one-night stand. Casey told Melina that Josh was from Georgia and died shortly after Caylee’s second birthday.

The impending DNA test results may confirm that these remains are that of Caylee Marie Anthony. But who fathered her may remain a mystery.

Thank you CNN for keeping this whole story alive for Caylee.
I think the entire country has been grieving for this precious child
for the past 6 months. Nancy Grace is the best, I think, in keeping us
all so well informed of current details. Nancy is the in your face sort of person as well as the person with the deepest compassion; so needed in a case such as this. All of it is so heart-wrenching.

This whole thing is so twisted, it seems. I’m wondering if DNA will prove that Casey’s brother is this child’s father. Maybe that was what
he was partially referring to when he visited Casey and asked her if
Family Circle of Trust was still unbroken or maybe he was referring to
more family secrets in this case.

Jan Adams   December 18th, 2008 3:23 pm ET

As a parent and grandparent my first responsability is to my grandchildren. How the Anthony’s could be asking for immunity for hendering an investigation to safely locate thier little Caylee is beyond sleezey. He was at one time a sherriff, there for I hold them both more accountable, roll them up with thier daughter as accomplices. Thus no gains from a book or movie deal in the futuer.

Sgirl   December 18th, 2008 3:30 pm ET

Wow this family is so shady. How pathetic for them. Do they think people are just plain stupid? Most are not. How could you deny your daughter is pregnant to relatives when the proof is standing right in front of you. No wonder this girl (Casey) is such a pathological liar. Look who she learned it from – her parents. Poor little Caylee. God rest her little soul. She did not deserve this. She is in a much better place now. Away from all these horrible lying people.

Pam from Maryland   December 18th, 2008 3:32 pm ET

It sickens me to think that someone dumped this little girl’s body in a wooded area like garbage. I have tried to keep an open mind in fairness to Casey, but as more things come to light it points to her as the killer. What’s worse is there doesn’t seem to be a shred of remose, only a concern with self preservation that Casey feels for herself. This would go a whole lot easier if she just opened up and told the honest truth and not her version of it.

Not reporting your child missing for a month? Please, what parent would do such a thing. Evidence of decomp in her trunk. Remains found within a half mile of her home. Her repeated comments about she felt Caylee was close or that the police haven’t even found her clothes.

How stupid does she think Law Enforcement and the American public are? And to further add insult to injury, Jose Baez wants HIS experts present at the crime scene and autopsy. Please, that isn’t legal precedent and you aren’t getting it. Just a ploy for him to later say the Sheriff’s office screwed up. The Medical Examiner’s office is doing their job and they don’t need your people’s presence. Applause to Judge Stan Strickland for telling them no and that they will get their evidence in the due course of discovery and by the rules. Have some respect Mr. Baez and let them take care of the remains of this child.

And what exactly is it that George and Cindy Anthony need immunity from? Have they been playing a game with the heartstrings of the public to garner sympathy for themselves or their daughter because they know something about what happened to Caylee? There are just too many questions and not enough honesty in this tragic case. The only comfort comes in knowing that Caylee may have found peace, and I pray that she gets justice.

diane   December 18th, 2008 3:34 pm ET

I sure hope they say something soon about this. Im sure its little caylee. How on earth if she did it could casey do this? It makes no sense to me when mothers kill their babies.

Brandy   December 18th, 2008 3:37 pm ET

I think Casey got in with drug dealers and owed them money so they took caley and told casey she had to come up with the money to get her back and thats why she stole money from her mom and friends and i think they accidentally killed her while they kidnapped her and didnt tell casey so she figured if she got the money they would give her back. I also think maybe she didnt talk to police because after they took caley they threatend casey about talking and probably said they would kill the rest of her family. No one knows what she is really going through the media only shows us some of the story. The part they want to be perceived. LOOK AT ALL THE FAMILY PHOTOS AND VIDEO you can tell she loved her daughter.

mary a.place   December 18th, 2008 3:43 pm ET

I just wished to God that the grandparents would have taken poor little Caylee, away from her so called mother.Maybe this little girl would be alive today.

Diana   December 18th, 2008 3:43 pm ET

I still think that Lee is the father of Caylee, which could stand for Casey and Lee. Casey at one point, said that there was sexual abuse or incest in her home. Lee is the only one that did not want to give his DNA or fingerprints. Can’t the FBI or police prove either yes or no about Lee being the father. I think it would be important as he could have had something to do with the death of Caylee, perhaps a coverup.

NYPrincessTt   December 18th, 2008 3:54 pm ET

Brandy- Any mother who loved their child would report them missing, point blank period, end of story. All this about her being threatened and her family being threstened is ridiculous. If that was the case, don’t you think she ought to have TOLD at least her family what was going on so they could be aware for their own safety, if that was really her concern as she claimed it was. If Caylee was abducted and Casey told not to notify police or risk harm to her family, why would she just allow her family to continue to think ‘oh, Caylee is fine, she’s with the nanny, or a friend, or here or there’ while they were walking around with their lives in possible danger? Get a clue. Besides, anybody holding a child for ransom is going to make dam sure that child stays alive, at least until they get their money. That’s the whole point of demanding ransom in the course of a kidnapping. DUH!

AP   December 18th, 2008 4:01 pm ET

To ‘Brandy’ – You’ve got to be kidding me! From the time Casey was pregnant she was lying about this child. Why on earth would she be telling the truth about ’someone else’ taking Caylee??? Your drug dealer story sounds a lot like the little boy who was found in Las Vegas this past summer. How often does that happen?

Bottom line – this poor child (Caylee) was brutally murdered by her MOTHER (Casey). That’s hard to believe, and I’m sure most normal people don’t want to believe it. Quit making excuses for Casey. She needs to pay for what she has done. Poor Caylee….RIP.

Sasha   December 18th, 2008 4:10 pm ET

Anyone think that maybe Casey’s brother Lee is the father? That has been on my mind for the past 2 months and I am wondering if this sick and demented family maybe covering up yet another lie and huge family secret. Caylee as in Casey and Lee? Just a thought, maybe I’m way out there but hey with this girl anything is possible.

Arnold Black   December 18th, 2008 4:11 pm ET

Do you want to solve this mystery? Investigate Caylee’s grandparents. They know more than we think. They are hiding something. How knows. Maybe they…

Connie   December 18th, 2008 4:21 pm ET

Maybe George is the child’s father. I heard some where about incest and sexual abuse. That’s all I’m saying about that.

I’ve tried giving Nancy a message but don’t think she gets it ever. Henry Lee was a doctor up around Boston. A good friend and teacher of mine was told by Henry Lee that she had cancer in her lymph nodes. They did surgery and removed her entire should and back shoulder blade. After about half of her was removed he came back in and told her he made a mistake and that she didn’t have cancer after all. How can a doctor that is that stupid be so famous. I wouldn’t let him do anything in this case. He is just an idiot. My friend tried to sue him but no attorney in the area would file it for her because of connections with the hospital and doctors. I’m sure the case was shredded but I’ll never forget it. I hope Mr. Lee reads this!

Angel inATL   December 18th, 2008 4:21 pm ET

I know the whole idea of a drug dealer taking the child would be much easier to swallow than Casey Anthony harming this precious little girl but all of the evidence and photos taken during the time Casey told authorities and her parents that Caylee was missing proves that she did not care or was not even concerned about her own daughter’s well being! She was out stealing money from her friends to buy stuff at Target and to get a new Tattoo etc… she was out partying at clubs, going out to eat, going to fireworks with her friends on 4th of July. She did not purchase one single item for Caylee with the money she spent at Target. If my kid was alive and with the “NANNY” I would have bought diapers, milk, clothing etc…this is a “fact” that she WAS NOT concerned about her daughter during this time! If a drug dealer had taken my child I think I would be distraught! not out partying or texting my friends all day long. All of the lies that Casey and her family have told are just unbelievable! Do they not think the truth will come out??

Peroque   December 18th, 2008 4:24 pm ET

Like I’ve said many times over, Casey was so promiscuous she does not even know who the father of the baby was! Cindy is just as much to blame for this child’s death as Casey! Casey did not want the child, never bonded with the child, never loved the child, but Cindy forced her to have it and Keep it!! I do not think there was incest. It just could have been one of many, many men Casey was with. that fathered Caylee on one of the one night stands.

As for immunity for the Anthony’s, NO, HELL NO!! The majority of this whole American tragedy falls directly on their shoulders, and particularly the shoulders of Cindy! Cindy and George need to be charged and sentenced to the full extent allowed by law! They have lied, hidden evidence, obstructed, and were probably complicit in the crime.

As for the Sunshine Law, we should have it in all states not just Florida!

Tam05   December 18th, 2008 4:32 pm ET

Death penalty MUST BE SEEKED!!! That’s my final answer.
Guilty

Guilty

Guilty, I think the brother disposed her little body for Casey.

EDIE FERNANDEZ   December 18th, 2008 4:44 pm ET

i have a 3year old grand daughter who calls her grandpa {pa pa} and it breaks my heart to see caylee on the video; asking george {her grandpa} ARE YOU TIRED PAPA. How can you not watch that video and wonder?life time offered 2million to the anthonys for thier story. could that be how they are paying for the best of best defense team? and if so, how dare they? How could they? it only makes me wonder? sleep with the angels caylee,GOD BLESS YOU

Sandy   December 18th, 2008 4:55 pm ET

I really feel that the evidence, when presented, will be so overwhelming as to easily convict Casey. Her parents, while seeking immunity, may be at last forced to open their eyes to the truth about their family.

Poor little baby girl….perhaps better off now in the arms of angels…tears my heart up, though…..

Christy   December 18th, 2008 5:17 pm ET

I find it odd that when they found that bag of bones from the J Blanchard Park water that there was no reported reaction from the mother. Now they have found another bag with a skull that has yet to be identified as Kaylee’s, however, it has been reported that the mother needed to be seen by a psychologist at the jail and was given a sedative. Why the reaction out of her this time? It seems pretty telling that is because she knows that is where she dumped her child and she has now been busted!

Lin   December 18th, 2008 5:20 pm ET

How sad that some of our most respected professionals would come to the aid of the pathetic personality of Casey Anthony. You can be a liar, con artist, moocher, thief and killer of your own child and win the sympathy of a legal team that would be better off helping someone truly in need. The entire family is a nut case and will be exposed as such. The beautiful angel, Caylee, who sang a precious song of love (on the video shown so often) was the only jewel of the family and is surely in the arms of heaven’s truest love.

jackie   December 18th, 2008 5:21 pm ET

You know that’s an interesting concept about Lee being Caylee’s father. He left a week after this all came to light and just now came back to town after the news came out they thought they had found her body and he is the one who flew into a rage and went outside and destroyed the little memorial that was being added to by people just trying to pay their respect to the memory of this beautiful little girl.

He was also the one who talked George and Cindy out of taking the lie dectector tests way back in the beginning of all this. He also refused to give a DNA sample until they forced him into it with the court order.

I think that Cindy knows much more than she has let on which is why I’m sure that they are asking for immunity. She has given them false clues, false evidence and has tried to blame it on either Zanny the nanny or Jessie.

AJ-Alabama   December 18th, 2008 5:28 pm ET

I have been watching this case from the begining and Cindy and Geroge stick by their daughter and say she is a good mom but then they say she did not want to have her and wanted to give her up even after she was born. Why do they cover up for her? Don’t they know that the more they cover up for her the worst it gets and now look, the baby is dead. There never was a babysitter, Calee would have talked about her at some point. Wake up guys!! I don’t believe anything that comes out of Casey’s mouth is true. She is a pathological liar and just wanted to party with her friends and saw a way to do that. Now it is time to pay and a beautiful littile girl is gone.

concerned   December 18th, 2008 5:39 pm ET

my heart is breaking for this precious little girl. the more info comes out the sader i feel. may she rest in peace.

Carolyn   December 18th, 2008 5:40 pm ET

WOW!!! CNN Keep up the good work with staying on top of this Anthony case, I have a special needs child and I couldn’t ever imagine doing something like this to my baby, even on stressful days as all moms can agree to…I think the Anthony case is really sickening, first Cindy (the mom) says in the beginning that her daughter Casey is a biligerant lier and always has been and now is defending her? What a mess especially when I think all of us know Casey is guilty due to her lies from the beginning and now the findings. This case makes us sick, however, I will watch it till the end. This is just a sick young lady and really is beyond help in my opinion. She will deserve everything, if not more, that she’s got coming her way from the justice system.

Jamie from San Diego   December 18th, 2008 5:41 pm ET

There are no words that can describe how I feel about the Anthony’s. They are pathetic and deserve what will be coming their way in the next week or so. I think that Casey did love her daughter, but her whole heart was not with Caylee. Why?! Because she is a young 22 year old who had a child at an inconvenient time and saw little Caylee as an inconvenience to her social world, life and status. I’m sure that her parents were thrilled when she came home to tell them that she was about to have a child with a man that they never met …so she didn’t leave Caylee with her parents. I think that one night Casey decided that she wanted to continue her party life and saw that no matter what she was “stuck” with the little “snot nose” and looked up a little thing called chloroform to keep her silent and out of her way for a little while while she had a good time. Well…that plan turned into a murder and she was left with a non-breathing Caylee lying in her trunk. I think that she admitted to her parents that she accidentally killed her and from there…well that’s where all of America is left to try and pick up the missing pieces.
To the Anthony’s: Judgement day will come soon my friends….and all of America/World will be there to watch it.
To Caylee: May you find peace and happiness wherever you are.

Carolyn   December 18th, 2008 5:53 pm ET

O.K. I don’t understand if Casey didn’t love this precious little girl, and was all about going out and partying. Why in the world didn’t she utilize the option of adopting this precious girl to a family where she would be loved and cherished.
I also agree with the other statements made above, why would any mom who loved there baby wait a month to report it missing? I also believe the grandparents could be just as guilty as Casey, Lying to relatives at the wedding when Casey was 7 months pregnant and said she was just gaining weight? COME ON.. Something fishy about that story….

Tanker   December 18th, 2008 6:12 pm ET

Brandy- What, are you living in the same little world as Casey? Don’t you think that if that was the case she would not be out going to clubs and having a good time. You say she loved her daughter do you not think that she would have told her best friend. I agree with NYPrincess that you need to get a clue.

Marcy from Califoria   December 18th, 2008 6:15 pm ET

I also think Lee is heavily involved and keeping a big secret. DNA will disclose a lot in this situation. Caylee never had a chance with that family. Information should be honest and voluntary, not forced by a subpoena.

John Lennon   December 18th, 2008 6:18 pm ET

This is not a case of drugs, it`s about liars and people that think we`re stupid!!! That makes more sense Diana, that Lee is probably the father after refusing his DNA and Caylee being named after Casey and Lee. How sick can they be!! Someone commented that they should just give her the needle. I think they should dig a hole, put her in large trash bag, then throw her in the hole. Let her sick minded self feel what it`s like. Casey, Cindy, George, and Lee are as sick as they come, you pathetic dirtbags!!!

Darlene   December 18th, 2008 6:23 pm ET

Whether her father or brother is the father of that precious child makes no difference at this point b/c that skull with duct tape on it tells the only story worth punishing!!!!!!!!!!! I say put the death penalty back on the table for that psycopath mother and I would charge those parents with everything I possibly could think of!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They know so much more than they are letting on and as a mother it just makes me sick to think of that precious little girl and what she went thru before she died. BRING ON THE DEATH PENALTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Any case involving the murder or rape of a child should automatically warrant that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Theresa   December 18th, 2008 6:25 pm ET

What is this world coming too?? I just dont understand anymore. Everytime I see Caylee it makes me cry. Im just glad she can have a proper burial now. As for Casey and the rest of the lying scum family they need to be hung……..the “death” penalty is not good enough. They dont feel the pain poor Caylee did. Let her suffer!!!

Trinity   December 18th, 2008 6:31 pm ET

I can not understand how a mother could do this. Come on, are we really supposed to feel bad for Casey Anthony??? I sure don’t. I only hope that Caylee didn’t suffer too much. I look at my seven month old and could not fathom hurting him, or losing him. What mom wouldn’t report her baby missing? A mom who commited murder, a selfish woman who overpowered a helpless two year old and broke her neck. I feel like Casey Anthony should recieve the death penalty, I think she deserves to die more than any cop killer in New Hampshire. This woman killed an innocent child and has lied repetitavly about it. She will probably plead insanity, and then get out of jail in five years. This is just sick, and I can’t stop thinking about this sweet little girl. To all others…Having children is no walk in the park, it is a challenge to say the least, but when you just want to smack that kid and tell them to shut up….REMEMBER THAT YOU WERE A CHILD, TOO, and give your kids the love you had (or wished you had,) as a kid.

lotusjani   December 18th, 2008 6:34 pm ET

I agree with NYPrincess, and Brandy is totally in a dream world, didn’t Casey called her little girl a snothead? A beautiful child that resembles more to Cindy than Casey? These parents have not been acting right, contradicting each other, agreeing of something then they change their tunes. The only victim here is little Caylee, who is in a better place than with this bunch of nuts. God Bless her and Keep her, and justice be done soon.

kelli   December 18th, 2008 6:45 pm ET

Wow! more bones found! Its so sad…..i wish they could bring stoning back! This lady needs it….i know it sound so harsh. But what about what this little girl went through! It makes me so angry to when i see this lady on tv.(casey)
What about this person finding the bones….did they check him out…kinda odd he’s the one finding them. Did he have any connection to casey.

Andrea   December 18th, 2008 6:49 pm ET

From a comment posted earlier i respond, there’s no way this was a drug deal gone bad. If they took caley and threatened casey then why is she out partying and living it up while the supposed “drug dealers” have her child? No way will I ever believe that! Come on now, common sense! If your child was taken would you be out at the night clubs dancing and having a good ol’ time? Out renting movies? I know as a mother I wouldn’t be. Casey is a pathetic liar that will hopefully be punished for her horrible crime.

And as far as the parents getting immunity, from WHAT? What are they hiding? And what have they been lying about? What a screwed up family!

Linda   December 18th, 2008 7:03 pm ET

This is one of the saddest cases that I have ever seen! I pray that wherever Caley is, that she is safe. As a single Mother of three, it makes me sick to think that ANYONE would do something like this to a child but especially their own parent!

In reference to the Father of Caylee, there have been reports of possible incest in the family. If that is the case, I am wondering if her brother Lee could be a possibility. If you look at Caylee’s name, the first part would be for Casey and the second part would be for Lee.

I don’t understand what Cindy and George would need immunity for if they did nothing wrong. I feel horrible for George and Cindy because they seem like good, hard working people that just want to enjoy their grandaughter. You can tell that Calee is their pride and joy and to have her taken away like that is heartbreaking! If she didn’t want to raise the child, why didn’t she sign custody over to George and Cindy? They would have been more than happy to raise that little girl and give her everything she needed and wanted.

This is a tragedy! Please pray for the family. They have been through so much and still have a long way to go.

txkboy   December 18th, 2008 8:31 pm ET

Beth, I find it curious that, when pressed by the media, Casey’s parents, act like they understand and know their daughter. When pressed by the police and law enforcement, they don’t seem to know a thing. I still believe they are covering for her and when the story comes out, which it will, they should be charged with obstruction. I mean, how can she live in their house and not have a clue about anything. Come on.

deanna   December 18th, 2008 8:40 pm ET

I think she used the cloraform on her so she could party, she duct taped her mouth so if she woke up she could not scream and then she put her in the trunk she overdossed her and she died. Then she decided to get rid of the body. but you know she had help of some kind. What about this meter reader calling in 3 other times. then suddenly he finds the body. There is something else going on here. It seems like the whole family is involved in this some form or fashion.

Elijah   December 18th, 2008 8:47 pm ET

just like to comment about the things said by diana.i agree totally about casey and lee being the parents of lil caylee i sent a message to the headline newsroom tuesday night refering to if any investigation has been done into the father of caylee in reference to casey as said the father died in an accident but in an interview with cindy done by greta cinday states when caylee was born casey and him spilt and he went off and started another family and had another child/children with someone else before he passed away i think the authorities need to do a little deeper investigation especially since their work so has has brought no conclusions as to these things..thanx

Jillydoll   December 18th, 2008 8:47 pm ET

I know cindy wants to protect her daughter but to say she wasn’t pregnant, when she was and now to say there was no odor in the car and insisting on there being a Zani is getting just a bit crazy.
Her lawyer said George and Cindy we going to stop with conflicting statements does this mean she will own up to the fact that Zani isn’t real.
In one of the police interviews Cindy admitted taht she didn’t believe Zani exsisted. She said that she believed that “Zani” was who ever Caylee was with at the time and could be any number of people who babysat Caylee.
Why are they still insisting to the jpublic that Zani took the baby? Why do they out right lie when it comesto Casey? Are these people all just natural liars? Will they ever tell the truth?
I do feel bad that they lost the baby but I also think this is a situation that they created. They spent to much time protecting and believing that child they had if they would have pulled their heads out of the sand earlier and got Casey some help when she first started displaying this behavior maybe none of this would have happened.

Cynthia   December 18th, 2008 11:02 pm ET

There are so many unanswered questions in this case and things that make absolutely no sense. Since Casey didn’t report Caylee missing for 30 days but lived with her at her parents home how is it that it took Cindy and George 30 days to figure out Caylee was missing. How is it that it took that long to ask where she was???

Joe W.   December 19th, 2008 5:30 am ET

I SO agree with the prior post from Diana about paternity in this case! The whole family is not to be trusted.

Lynne   December 19th, 2008 7:13 am ET

For all the unknown that is obvious, The biggest one being,WHY?
Tho we may never know the true reason, there is no exceptable reason on this earth for what has happened to little Caylee, and all the other children who have suffered the same fate at the hands of any other human being, wether it be a parent or stranger.
The one thing that is very clear in this case,,;America embraced this little girl, when the one person who should have—Could Not,Would Not,and Did Not;God Bless not only the short life of Caylee Anthony and all the children lost for reasons Unknown,But God Bless Their MEMORIES.

liz   December 19th, 2008 9:19 am ET

It’s my personal opinion that Casey is very needy. Anytime the focus is off of her,she steals, or does something to put the focus back on her.
I bet when Tony and his friends started to dote over Caley which took attention off of her, she had to do something. Her parents dote over her and that’s when she’s the happiest.

Su   December 19th, 2008 9:35 am ET

So the Anthonys were lying before the poor child was even born. I just don’t get it. Surely if Caylees bio father was dead, there would be some sort of trail leading to him. (parents, family, friends, police reports) Something aside from a “lost obituary” I believe the father is alive, and that Casey just doesn’t want anyone to know who he is, for whatever reasons. (like she needs one for anything) It’s possible there’s some poor guy out there who doesn’t even know he fathered a child. You’d think at this point, with all the media coverage, every guy who ever had relations with Casey Anthony would come forward.

I agree NY Princess, no mother would go out partying and getting tattoos if her child was truly being held captive. No matter what happens, Casey Anthony didn’t report her child missing. That tells us all something. Cindy is the one who called the police. What puzzles me the most is that Cindy and George Anthony who claim to have been so close to their granddaughter, went thirty one days without seeing or hearing from Caylee. None of this makes a bit of sense!

Terri   December 19th, 2008 9:40 am ET

At first I didn’t want to believe that the woman had a issues, but the I read about this case the more I am inclined to believe that not only is she a pathological liar but, so are her parents.

They lied to Cindy Anthony’s brother (Casey’s mother and Caylee’s) grandmother, about Casey’s pregnancy. Casey has had three different stories about who fathered Caylee and the parents well I’m beginning to see where she leared to lie from. Especially the Grandmother, she appears to be the one that wears the pants in the family.

Spider   December 19th, 2008 9:49 am ET

More questions than answers?

Here’s a few answers. All of this familial information will be put together to reveal an extremely dysfunctional family. Casey Anthony’s defense will use that fact in an insanity defense.

Renee   December 19th, 2008 9:56 am ET

Hough fireman should not beput to death, simply because no one has even mentioned the plight of his children if that were to happen. I feel the neighbors did indeed intend to continue bothering this family and the police department did nothing to help even after knowing this could easily come to a bad ending. I think they sold be held accountable as well. Ten times they were called. Domestic violence is the tiop crime of the US and they never came to help. Just the fact that they tried to reach out for help shows they did not intend to hurt anyone. I belive he snapped from being over worked and tired and trying to protect his family. The guns he had were legal and he never denied killing anyone. Think of HIS children. In this case I do not believe there was an evil doer. Evil doers do not apply themselves to help mankind for the years he did. Consider the rest of his life. I don’t see how taking his life would help anyone in this case in the long run.

GinaMac   December 19th, 2008 10:32 am ET

Even if the child was taken by drug dealers and she was killed; it’s still Casey’s fault for getting involved with them in the first place.

This family has more secrets then they’re wiling to admit. There was a report early in this whole thing that said that Casey didn’t want Caylee but her mother drove her to have the baby and keep it.

That poor baby would have been better off if Casey had given her up in spite of Mom’s opinion. I think Casey’s parents have known from the beginning or at least had an idea.

I can see wanting to protect your child; but who protected their GRANDCHILD?

Dee   December 19th, 2008 10:35 am ET

Sad but true, when Casey opens her mouth, in regards to MOST explanations, etc., it seems to me it’s MOSTLY lies, because in my opinion she’s NOT ABLE to tell the WHOLE TRUTH, I think she’s a sociopath! I think it’s LEARNED behavior, that’s ALL I’ll say about THAT!
It’s a crying, really…has made MANY cry…shame! I read a LOT of police bashing online about this one issue, and I get SOME (not all) of that…just like EVERYone in the world, our police are not PERFECT people, you have the VERY Good, w/the Good, the Bad and the Indifferent! However, considering ALL the police, sheriff, FBI, etc., HAVE put together regarding this case (Caylee Marie Anthony) they pretty quickly got LOTS of evidence EVEN BEFORE this skeletal remains were found! I think OTHERS might have been looking around for Caylee’s remains on their own, I think SOME people in/near the Anthony’s home just took it upon themselves to KEEP looking on their own, when they went for walks, etc. IF you read the or heard the CORRECT news, the 1st sighting from this meter reader was in reference to a GREY BAG. (NOT a BLACK bag, like he – the meter reader-later found) The sight is BIG, not small, it’s MORE than an acre. Perhaps because he WORKED in the area, *something in him* (probably an angel’s direction) kept bugging him to KEEP looking, ANYone ever think of THAT possibility? Maybe the 1st sighting (Aug 11,12,&13) were just TRASH bags HE didn’t WANT to TOUCH, because it was BROADCAST NOT TO TOUCH something you MIGHT FIND! I believe he was GUIDED by a HIGHER POWER to KEEP Looking, I don’t BELIEVE it IS a coincidence, I Believe it was a Divine Guidance that this meter reader FOUND Caylee’s remains, OR the remains of a child, if it’s not her, we do NOT yet know…God BE With You Caylee…

LIZ FROM GEORGIA   December 19th, 2008 10:53 am ET

Have always thought no one seemed to investigate the father of little Caylee enough, (in case it was relivant to this case?) DNA should be taken from brother – Lee and FATHER -GEORGE nothing is beyond imagination about this family. I believe there are many skeletons in the Anthonys closets. Ultimately, it was Caylee who paid the price.

John Lennon   December 19th, 2008 11:31 am ET

We better hope that Casey does`nt get tried in Nevada cause they probably would give her probation!!!! Then they would go after the guy that discovered the remains, and give him life!!!

Holly   December 19th, 2008 11:56 am ET

George and Cindy Anthony created Casey Anthony , by putting up with her habitual lying her whole life . They are just as much to blame for Caylee’s death as their daughter . That’s why they’re supporting her claims the child was kidnapped. They both knew their daughter was unstable and ler her leave the house with the child. One of the most telling things , about them to me , was how they both talked to Casey during jailhouse visits. No normal father would say to his incarcerated daughter , how ya doing gorgeous ? It’s just a shame a small child had to pay for their mistakes .

charlene guier   December 19th, 2008 11:58 am ET

ive been following this too and yes i think casey is guilty. food for thought, the notebook found w/ “casey lazzaro” written( gradeschool girl -like fantasy of writing what her married name would be) and her boyfriend tony was supposedly saying when he started a family , wanted all boys, b/c he knew what hard work girls would be( came from family w/ sisters) hello??? that is an awfully interesting coincidence, shes in love w/ tony, wants to marry him, but he doesnt want any girls( ready-made family) =so that could be “motivation” or additional motivation to get rid of a girl she didnt want in the first place, that got in her way of partying and living happily ever after w/ her dream man.

Rebecca   December 19th, 2008 12:04 pm ET

Referring to the “unidentified” deputy whom, followed up on a tip received from the meter reader On August 13th, I believe is the Deputy Tony Rusciano, that was later terminated due to his involvement with Casey Anthony. That explains the hesitation to release the Deputy’s name because of the possible link to the investigation. It seems as if all the evidence is crashing hard and fast on Casey. Karma, in the form of a little, precious angel, is coming full circle. The biggest, and best defense team can’t argue that.

aida halluska   December 19th, 2008 12:04 pm ET

I can understand Jamie Floyd, trying to minimize the guilt for this firefighter, but not Lisa Bloom. How many parents are willing to fake tears in front of the court to save their son’s life? A lot, and those parents are the ones who will be surprised later when they hear that a child has killed a parent. I think that my kids will be mortified to have me in that situation, and perhaps that is why they never broke the law. This man deserves the death penalty five times over. One for each child, wife and mother. He is a loser, a coward and deserves to burn. So what if he saved lives? Doesn’t every policeman saves lives daily? Is that an excuse to kill innocent kids just because they are having fun? He snapped? Like Timothy McVey, Jeffrey Dammer and many others who decided to kill because they felt like it.
WAKE UP LISA! Would you forgive your children if they kill someone else? If you do, congratulations on great parenting.

charlene guier   December 19th, 2008 12:04 pm ET

also about caylees father, my suspicion is that he was probably a married man, and did NOT want his wife to know about casey and the baby…. i doubt that its george or lee anthony, but w/ the twists and turns in the case, i would NOT be shocked if that IS the case.

Tonya   December 19th, 2008 12:09 pm ET

I’m so sick in tired of people calling Casey a mother. She is not a mother. She failed at every aspect as a mother. SHE FAILED TO PROTECT HER BEAUTIFUL LITTLE GIRL. If she didn’t want kids then she shouldn’t of had Caylee. But she was here and she should of gave her up to a family that wants kids. I’m not saying give it to her grandparents, beacuse the actions of these people will only harm Caylee even more than she already been harmed.

Sherri   December 19th, 2008 12:09 pm ET

I have to agree with Nancy in Oklahoma… the thought that Lee was Caylee’s father also crossed my mind. Either that or he thinks the DNA might link him to something he did in one of the many cities he traveled to. I just think it’s strange to name your child a combination of your name and your brother’s name. Remember.. Casey is famous for weaving a shred of truth in every BIG LIE she tells.

angel   December 19th, 2008 1:10 pm ET

this is so sad..i think they should talk to the grandfather alone again.he was in law enforcement.,that’s why he went to the police by him-self, after he smelled the car, and if you take time to listen to the tapes CNN has posted of the conversations they had, you will hear him trying to get her to tell him anything..and she just as well did tell them when she kept saying “SHE’S CLOSE,,SHE’S CLOSE”i think she wanted them to find her then…as for the money she stole from her friend she went out parting and shopping, once again if you watch CNN who has been doing a great job of reporting it and keeping us informed….i never believed in the death penalty, but in this case i really don’t know..I’m a mother of three, and two are little girls if anything happened to them i surely would not lead the police on a wild goose chase..i would not care if someone threaten the rest of my family…my concern would be my baby…

Arlene   December 19th, 2008 1:24 pm ET

Is there a posibility that lee Anthony is the father of Caylee
Arlene
Canada

charlene guier   December 19th, 2008 1:30 pm ET

also another tidbit, AFTER caylee is gone, she gets tatoo of ” the good life” ??? what mother(using the term for casey VERY LOOSELY) gets ” the good life” tatooed AFTER your kid goes missing, unless its a mother that didnt want the kid to begin w/?? i understand that casey did not want her, wanted to give her up for adoption but cindy said no, made her keep caylee, which yes blame needs to fall on cindy too, because at very least, if she made casey keep the child, cindy should have filed for custody of caylee. zanny the nanny, i THINK is code for xanax( casey doping caylee up w/ xanax to subdue her so she can party it up) i have to do what i can to restrain from punching the tv every time i hear casey whine she wants her to be found, back w/ family safe and sound… and hows shes doing everything possible to make it happen( caylee come home) i hope they fry casey. just my opinion.

Jenni   December 19th, 2008 1:43 pm ET

There is no doubt in my mind that Casey killed her daughter. The grandparents’ stupidity in defending her is sickening and I think they have some involvement in covering it up. I hope Casey never steps foot outside of a jail cell.

Spider   December 19th, 2008 2:05 pm ET

Arlene-

Yep, it’s a possibility!!!

But then, it could be a virgin birth.
Or maybe an intergalactic alien performed an insemination on an earthling.

People, just let this play out. These “theories”, that are just wild guesses, are beginning to get outrageous. We have a legal system that, while it is not fool-proof, will answer all of the relevant questions for a jury, who will decide the outcome of the entire situation.

Pam from Maryland   December 19th, 2008 2:08 pm ET

The pattern of lies throughout this case shows that there is a disregard for anything outside the Anthony’s frame of reference. What is the Family Circle of Trust that was referred to? Again, I ask, what do George and Cindy need immunity for? Why did Lee destroy the memorial people laid out for Caylee? They are suspicious, no doubt about it.

Brenda: Are you serious? Drug dealers? There is no evidence to that effect anywhere. The Anthony family are liars, and that is the only thing we know for certain. No matter what any of us believe, and I do believe she killed Caylee, Casey is still presumed innocent until she is tried by a jury of her peers. That is how our justice system works.

I would love to see the Death Penalty enforced in this case, but Florida law has certain criteria must be met to prove the circumstances surrounding the death warrant the maximun penalty. I still believe that Susan Smith should’ve been given the death penalty for what she did to her two sons, but that wasn’t the case.

Tonya, MS   December 19th, 2008 2:35 pm ET

I just watched the live news conference. I knew all along that this was her. WHAT MOTHER IN HER RIGHT MIND WOULD WAIT 30 DAYS TO REPORT HER CHILD MISSING. NONE that I know of. I hope thata the death penalty comes back into play on charges for Casey. She has known all this time and let the weather and wildlife to this to her child.

Ty   December 19th, 2008 2:37 pm ET

Why are people so quick to throw this mother under the bus? Its so typical of people to make assumptions about situations they clearly know nothing about. The media tells us what we want to know but none of us really know what happend. We should be mourning for this child right now not throwing accusations and pointing fingers. Her day will be in court and let the twelve women and men decide, but obviously because the Law enforcement department failed so miserably to keep this case away from the media that she is guilty before the trial…they should just completley take this case out of florida to some remote town. How many times have people lied to police and get sent to jail only twenty years later to be exhonerated, I want 100% justice for this child and this mother should only be brought to court if the evidence is irrefutable nt because she lied out her ass! If she is acquitted because lack of evidence and she jet sets off to jaimaica it will only be our fault. If she is tried for anything is should be failing to cooperate with Law enforcement and child neglegance/abuse.

pete   December 19th, 2008 2:47 pm ET

i believe i heard on news that the place where caylee was found was under water than there was a fence put there
if true who put fence up to keep searches from burial ground ???

deb   December 19th, 2008 2:57 pm ET

Just heard the news that they identified the remains as Caylee’s. How sad!! I’ve been watching this case since the beginning. Maybe there is truth to Lee Anthony being the father. I think they should test Lee’s DNA, he’s been very quiet throughout this case. I also think the mom is involved…BIG TIME!

Dianne   December 19th, 2008 3:04 pm ET

I am going crazy watching Banfield’s coverage of the Anthony case. I am sick of the how many angels dance on the head of a pin speculations by defense attorneys and Ashleigh. If any attorney has Casey Anthony’s best interest at heart, he will throw himself on the mercy of the court and beg for a deal. Let’s look at the forensic evidence since it is what fascinates Banfield et al. A nurse and a former homicide detective smelled human decompositon in Casey Anthony’s car in July—that these two happen be her own parents is just one more card in the prosecution’s deck. There is a hair with a death band around it found in the car that belongs to either Caylee or Casey and now we know which one’s alive. Now on to objective truth: Who was last seen with this child? Her mother who lies with every breath! The evidence has nothing to do with stripper poles or the “distraught “mother who steals from her friend while her daughter is missing and buys a bra, beer and a bag of chips and heads over to her boyfriend’s house to watch some videos and plan her next dance move. There ain’t no mystery here, Ash, and though I am not a potential juror, I seriously doubt the Dream Team Mach II is going to prevail for a sociopathic mother and against a dead baby.

Jessica from Missouri   December 19th, 2008 3:05 pm ET

So now it is out, the bones are little Caylee’s. With a little one of my own not much younger than Caylee, my gut knew it was her but my heart was hopping is wasn’t. Now all I can hope is that Casey gets a fair trial and my opion she spends the rest of her life in jail.

Maria   December 19th, 2008 3:05 pm ET

So Brandy. what was the clorophormy for???Ohhhh, maybe to the drug dealers…what about look in the internet for missing kids???
Yea, maybe she had hope to see her daughter’s picture there….
your theory is not impossible, but all the evidences point to her
and nobody else…and looking back there’s more about this family
than anyone can imagine.. something is going on between Casey and Lee, it is almost like they share the same secret…i hope Lee’s DNA test will be done any time soon…

Tina   December 19th, 2008 3:14 pm ET

Cindy Anthony said that when Caylee was found Casey would be “Mother of the Year”. Caylee was found.

Maria   December 19th, 2008 3:19 pm ET

I just want to make one more point…Cindy Anthony doesn’t want Casey to give her little girl for adoption, maybe because Caylee
is 1/2 part of Lee…And all that about believing Caylee is still alive,
was just to turn hads away from the true and give time to somebody
move the body from were originally was…

Dee   December 19th, 2008 3:37 pm ET

It’s her…the remains ARE Caylee’s~how sad…I’m a gramma, and I can not even try, nor would want to imagine how those grandparents feel, right now…but there’s 2 sides to every coin, besides their deep grief, I believe they MUST be questioning themselves AND their daughter…I simply do NOT believe what Cindy and George Anthony portray to the public &/or media…I believe THEY KNOW MORE than what each of them have thus far spoken about, MOST-especially in regards to their daughter being a sociopath, CINDY TOLD SOMEONE that, IF you’re paying close attention, I’m not sure WHO it was, but I think it was Jess, a beau of Cindy’s? Don’t quote me on it tho’ I only recall that Cindy told another person her daughter was a sociopath, that’s a scarey word just to use in passing or lightly-so!
NOW WE KNOW for SURE, the remains found (or those that might still be found) are Caylee Marie Anthony’s skeletal remains…I pray for all involved…just because I believe Casey is a murderer, and just because I believe BOTH George and Cindy KNOW their daughter DID this horrific crime doesn’t mean I can’t pray for them and others involved in this…NO one on the planet is perfect, and I believe praying for BOTH kinds of people…good or bad, helps ALL involved and allows us to Humbly Give God the Power of Justice, on earth and in Heaven BE manifested! It is written to pray for our enemies, it is written to pray always, it is written to pray for those we love, too~I believe prayers sent to God (who in my opinion IS Love and Light!) come back in forms of Loving Balances-including Truth willing out
I think…the Anthony’s each need accountablilities in a BALANCE of Truth and Light…so I will pray for each one of them, their other family members, their friends, as well as for the Law Enforcement people/agencies in regards to THIS case…I pray for Justice, Truth, Love, Light, and above all Healing…and yes, Forgiveness (Forgiveness doesn’t MEAN you get to skirt the Justice of Accountabilities…it literally means “to let go, and let God control it all.”)
This case has touched MANY not only in the USA, but the world…
“God Bless us, Everyone!” (Dickens, A Christmas Carol, as spoken by Tiny Tim) In THESE times, we need His Blessings MORE than ever!
I am Sure in my Spirit Caylee’s in God’s Loving arms…

teresa bryant   December 19th, 2008 4:02 pm ET

where is caylee’s dad????

Jillydoll   December 19th, 2008 4:59 pm ET

I hate the thought that the meter reader, who found the body is now under suspicion by some of the news media. So what that he called in a few times last August. I have made such calls to law enforcement about something I have seen that didn’t seem right. If I didn’t feel enough was done I actually drove back 100 miles to the area I had called about and checked it myself. I live in Montana there are missing hikers and hunters all the time. When driving on loney streches of road i often look around and if I notice anything I call it in. If I don’t get the response I want I go back and check it myself. This is not an unusual thing to do especially if someone is missing in that area. Leave him alone.

Maria   December 19th, 2008 5:06 pm ET

Have anyone think that Cindy and George are defending Casey, because they are afraid that the true can come alive???It is like,
you’all better take me out of here(jail) or i’ll tell the world our secrets!!!
We still don’t know what was said to Casey( by Cindy), before she leaves the house with little Caylee. Cindy has a guilt look and in her
heart she knows that…if Casey has always been a liar, why keep her
home pregnant???You said something terrible to Casey, Cindy! And you now are paying, this is your punishment…that is why you are so
nice to Casey now,,. you’all don’t deserve to have each other, what a disfunctional family…better Caylee in heaven!!!

LSB   December 19th, 2008 8:04 pm ET

It does not seem likely that the meter reader was involved in the crime or had anything to do with putting the body where it was found, as some have speculated. If he put it there and wanted it to be found, I just don’t think he would taken the chance of letting another four months go by before calling the police again.

Also, I could understand the suspicion if this worker had a route far away from this location. But this exact area had been part of his work route for years. He may have even parked at the dead end to take his breaks, smoke a cigarette or relieve himself when necessary. My mail carrier takes his breaks every single day in his truck in the parking lot of a park behind my house.

Teri Lee   December 19th, 2008 8:08 pm ET

In defense of the Meter Reader.. If any one has ever worked a Route type job understands they are at a dead run from the time they start until dark & are pushed to do an 14 hr day in 8.
It was Aug. and hot and I can understand him in need to relieve his self ..at the end of a residental area.
And if any one has ever smelled death it is a smell that one will never forget (skin or none) and once you get the scent it can drive you crazy trying to find the exact origin….he’s from this community & could have put it together…a Black bag can turn gray after a rain & mud cover is on it. And if I was in his shoes I would have done the same.
I’m sure if he called to complain of a smell of a decomposed body he was not taken seriously enough to warrant an investigation…until it drove him to find it himself & had to press for a response.
The police had Hundreds of calls!

joanne grenoble   December 19th, 2008 9:49 pm ET

this is becoming a circus we all know that casey anthoney is guilty

No matter how this family seems, no matter what we all think, take a moment mourn this child as she was a child that needed more love than she was given. Mourn the child that is no more!!!!! Find justice and do not let the “I screwed up accidentally” Play into this….a child is pure, truthful, so full of life. Don’t let her life be in vain……everyone hold strong…..we are all this child has left….her life was cut short so we as awhole have to force the truth or we will never know and someone will walk. We owe this to the child who needed more when she was here……lets keep this going……investigate help her…….someone needs to take the responsibilty……she was only a child!!!!!!!!!!

Su   December 19th, 2008 10:25 pm ET

I’ve heard on two different stations that the prosecutors “may” end up giving her a plea deal for fifteen years. I pray that won’t happen! This monster needs to get the needle. This is the one and only time that I feel good about the death penalty. No tax payer should have to keep this woman fed or housed. Sadly, because the cause of death may never be found, she will get much less.

I agree, Lee is involved in all of this as well. Those two are too close for comfort if you ask me, and I believe that like Cindy and George, he helped to cover things up after the fact. I think all of them, with the exception of Cindy Anthonys brother, knew Caylee was deceased and that Casey was the cause.

Mary Jo   December 20th, 2008 12:44 am ET

It makes me so sad to know that this was identified as Caylee, but we all knew it was. Please give the grandparents time to grieve. This has got to be so upseting to them, especially the grandmother who took care of her. We don’t know how we would act or anything if we were in their place. I am a grandmother of three beautiful girls, one who is Caylee’s age and it would devastate me to loose her. And, especially if it was at the hands of my own child. I believe this was an accident and Casey panicked. No mother could knowingly do this to their own child. I HOPE NOT!

jeannine dalcourt   December 20th, 2008 1:05 am ET

I can not believe that this is still happening I am so sad and angry at the same time. I feel sorry for the family left behind to deal with all of the sadness and mixed feeling. I think that it was done on purpose out of anger and depression. I don”t know what she was thinking at the time of the crime but I am sure she made a lot of people angry. Mainly now Christmas is coming for all the children exept for Caylee who is now with GOD and in no more pain.

Mollieme   December 20th, 2008 4:26 am ET

Does anyone remember in the very early stages of this case a police officer was fired for lying about seeing Casey? I do not know the date he was fired, but could he be connected to the “deputy” that came to search or the trash bag?

Mary   December 20th, 2008 8:51 am ET

I’m sure that people who live in the area were told to keep an eye out for anything suspicious when this case first hit the news. Now that a citizen did just that, and reported it, he is being ripped apart! Caylee was finally found, as all of the country waited, and the meter reader should be commended for his persistence in having his findings checked out. I think he’s the hero in this case.
As to the father of little Caylee, why does that matter at this point? Casey probably doesn’t even know who the father is!

Toni   December 21st, 2008 2:34 pm ET

I believe that Casey has lied all of her life and that her parents have always covered up for her. When Cindy said that she could always get Casey to tell her the truth she was kidding herself. Casey probably just kept changing her story until she found one her mother would accept. Think, if Caylee’s death was an accident, whether an overdose or suffocation from being locked in the trunk, while she partied, would her parents have tried to save her, provide her with a roof over her head and give her money. More than likely, most parents at least, would expect the truth and still stand by their child, although the child may have done something really terrible. Casey wanted the security of her family in spite of what she did. So to insure that, she made herself the heroine of a story in which she is protecting her child and her family from really bad people. The fact that the parents accepted the story is proof that this is what they have done since Casey could talk, and tell lies. However, I do believe that this is one of the most dysfunctional families I have ever seen. Lies, enabling, stealing, jealousy, hate, all in one family and carried to terrible extremes. Do I feel sorry for the parents of Casey Anthony, NO, I do not. She is the product of their desire to live what they think is a normal life when none of them are normal. They all wear masks, and unfortunately, the death of Caylee has torn those masks off and revealed the pathology of these people. I do believe that it is also possible that one or all of them including Lee Anthony, could have helped Casey cover up the death of their little girl.
What a shame, this innocent little life, offered up as a sacrifice for some of the most selfish, egotistical, cruel people I have ever seen.
More frightening is the fact that the defense attorney Jose Baez, has swallowed whole the lies and terrible acts of these people, expecially Casey. She is entitled to a vigorous defense, however, the assumption of innocence is a stone in most peoples craw. Very difficult to assume innocence when Casey’s face, and behavior reveal a very evil, cruel, young woman, whose desire it is to save herself no matter what.

dorene zimmerman   December 21st, 2008 5:04 pm ET

its a shame of what happened to callee.. but just what if her mother didnt do it ..what about caylees dad..havent heard much about him?u would have to be one sick person to do something so horriable.. ill be praying for their souls..

Mary Jayne   December 22nd, 2008 12:05 am ET

I watched and listen intently to the first Simpson trial, and listening to the entire trail, had I been on the first jury, I too would have found him not guilty.
I think this second trial was a setup, to secure prison for O.J. for the two murders.
I truly believe Fred Goldman if he had the chance to have his son back or the life and attention he now has would choose the latter.
I truly believe that one of those children heard or saw something that night and will someday remember.
Mark Furman was treated as a hero ,after all the lies he told on the witness stand and I will never believe OJ would have thrown that glove in his yard.He would have had more sense.
The thing that upsets me more, is the fact that the news guys on the 6 PM news would “quote” statements made in court (first trial) incorrectly
I keep and recorded the trial, I have 35 statments made on the news that WAS NOT correct….and intend to sometime write a book on those statements they made and what was actually said in court.
I have never believed anything they say since then.
If the news cannot be reported truthful, then what was the point??

Thank You
Mary Jayne

Danis Mace   December 22nd, 2008 1:47 am ET

Why did Cindy Anthony tell her husband we lost her and he asked who and she responded Cayley? What did she mean by that and if she didnt know abot it then why did she say it? To me it seems she knew more than she is saying.! Please let me know what was the reasoning behind that comment to George. Thank you..Danis Mace

I think casey is a troubled, girl .It ti so sad that beautiful little girl had to have an ending of her life so soon.I hope whatever and however did this to her.realizes that God is watching. And one day theywill have to pay for what they have done.Children are so helpless and innocent.

i use to watch JERRY SPRINGER and think to myself who are these’ s people and where do they find them surely they are not real. WELL ihave seen this case on cnn(thank you) since the beginning and this family is WACO . this is a look in your face and lie kind of family no morals as seen by casey talking to her mother from jail and saying i don’t know where the BLEEP caylee is at and look at the mother(cindy) dog gone if she don’t lie as well as casey. i do hope THAT JUSTICE WILL BE SERVED.

charlene guier   December 22nd, 2008 11:49 am ET

well the remains are caylees, i figured so,sad to say, but now the little girl can get a proper funeral/ be laid to rest properly. thank god for mr roy kronk( the utility worker who called in aug and ulitmately, thanks to his bulldog preservernce, led to remains on dec, and broke the case) =without him, justice would NOT been served. i PRAY that the justice system is NOT going to let casey off, accidental death or deliberate. she needs to serve life sentence, not one day short( i actually think death penalty needs to be put back on the table, but that is JUST MY OPINION) i also pray that cindy and george can FINALLY admit to the truth and begin the healing process. i always suspected cindy was covering up for casey, but george actually tried to do the right thing( admit what the stench was,but hoping his daughter wasnt capable of causing harm to someone else, especially her own child- plus testifying AGAINST casey in a hearing) the toys that strangers sent for caylee are being donated, thats a good thing too( in face of tragedy=have her toys go to other LIVE kids that need them). at least we know what happened to caylee, and most importantly, she is in heaven w/ god, being an angel and being safe and happy, where no one can EVER HURT HER AGAIN>

nancy drew   December 23rd, 2008 7:14 am ET

Has it occurred to anyone that caylee’s grandma chlorfromed the child for a “mercy” death?Maybe cindy thought caylee deserved a better mom?Why would Casey kill her meal ticket?Casey used caylee to get away with stealing and partyin.Mcasey didnt seem concerned because the grandma would sometimes refuse to give caylee back.

To: dorene zimmerman’s comment:
REASONABLE DOUBT doesn’t mean ALL or ANY doubt!
It means it has to be REASONABLE after LINING up or LISTENING to ALL the EVIDENCE to the CONTRARY!

Therefore, I think (I get it that’s this is ONLY an opinion of mine) that the EVIDENCE, thus FAR, leaves NO ROOM for REASONABLE DOUBT, and that Casey KILLED her own little girl~because Casey, in a way, has TOLD us this…
The chain of custody in regards to Casey’s car: A HAIR with the DEATH BAND found ON that hair in the car belonged to SOMEone in the MATERNAL side of the Anthony’s ~ THAT would be: Cindy, Casey, Lee, or Caylee
Cindy is alive. Casey is alive. Lee is Alive.
EVIDENCE thus shows the hair belonged to Caylee, and that Caylee is dead!
Egad! If THAT alone can’t ERASE ANY and ALL Reasonable doubt, what can?
Casey LEFT a note on the car letting people at Amscot (where the car was parked or left) telling them she’ll be or someone would be BACK for the car.
She lied and tells Tony, when he comes to pick her up AT or NEAR the car being left: “My dad’s coming to get the car.” LIES LIES LIES!
It’s what Casey KNOWS how to DO the BEST!
George, in an FBI interview ADMITS to an agent or 2 “once you smell that smell (of a dead body) you never forget it” and tells the agents, he asks an attendent to GO to the back of the car (to the trunk) with him…inside George says to himself “please don’t let it BE my (dead) daughter or granddaughter inside the trunk”
GIVE me a BREAK!
Her OWN mother reports “There’s something WRONG! It smells like there’s been a dead body in the damn car!” when she calls 911 to REPORT Caylee MISSING!
WHERE’S the REASONABLE DOUBTS, now?
With those factors, alone, any COMMON SENSE jury will MOST likely FIND HER (Casey) GUILTY, in MY opinion, because we’re not talking ANY doubts, ALL doubts, just REASONABLE ones!
Casey NEVER TELLS ANYONE that Zanni the nanny HAD USE of HER car! (Casey’s car) therefore it’s REASONABLE to assume that the HAIR WITH THE DEATH BAND on it, the STAIN from a decomposing body, that the CADAVAR dogs hit upon, by the way, HAPPENED while CASEY had the car in HER possession!
It’s NOT reasonable to THINK that someone from AMSCOT put Caylee’s DEATH BANDED HAIR in the CAR after Casey abandoned the car!
It’s NOT reasonable to THINK that someone ELSE put Caylee’s DEATH BANDED HAIR in the trunk of the car while it was at the towing place!
It’s NOT reasonable to THINK that BEFORE George opened the trunk of Casey’s car, he had a HAIR of Caylee’s with a DEATH BAND on it that got transferred into the trunk of the car when he opened it!
(George at ONE point TELLS Casey they MISS seeing and being with little Caylee…THAT story is PROVEN, already) Thus George is NOT responsible for Caylee’s death!
It’s NOT REASONABLE to THINK that Zanni the nanny PUT the HAIR WITH THE DEATH BAND on it in CASEY’S car trunk!
What IS REASONABLE is that Casey was the LAST person with Caylee; Caylee was IN the TRUNK of Casey’s car; Caylee’s hair got TRANSFERRED after CAYLEE WAS DEAD, into the TRUNK of the car, THEREFORE ~ REASON tells you CASEY is RESPONSIBLE for CAYLEE’S death!

If you’ve followed this crime story, you’d know that the dad is *supposedly* deceased (dead) according to Casey, anyway…but at THIS point WHO now will allow themselves to BELIEVE ANYthing Casey Anthony says, she’s lied, and lied, and lied, and lied so much, and MOST of the lies, she’s been caught in (proven to BE lies) but I question HOW MANY LIES she told that NO ONE will EVER know about that came out of her mouth in the past???? IF she is innocent, she’s DUG her OWN grave, so to speak, from lying…I also PRAY for ALL involved, but above ALL ELSE, I pray for JUSTICE for little, sweet, precious Caylee Marie Anthony~I really HOPE the Prosecution has MORE proof than we are now being told thru’ the media reporting!
Caylee will NEVER have another BIRTHDAY on Earth…NEVER have another CHRISTMAS PRESENT to open…NEVER be able to sing “You Are My Sunshine” again, on earth…her life was TOTALLY DISREGARDED…
I’m TIRED of reading that word or phrase *ACCIDENT or ACCIDENTAL DEATH* ~ Are you KIDDING me??? It’s NO accident and should NOT be referred to as an *accident* IF Caylee was chloroformed (by her OWN mother-Casey) and put in the trunk for 5 to 12 hours, it’s out and out CHILD ABUSE, it’s BLATANT DISREGARD for Caylee’s SAFETY, it’s a SICK and SELFISH HORRENDOUS ABUSIVE ACTION to DO to a CHILD-but *accident*? I think: *NOT!*
I wish people would CALL things WHAT they are, or might have been!
Yes, EVERYone has the right of the PRESUMPTION of innocence until PROVEN guilty~However, in my personal opinion, Casey already HAS been PROVEN GUILTY of NO LESS than CHILD ABUSE!
Once Casey MADE SOME CONSCIOUS DECISIONS to make HERSELF, HER wants, and HER needs MORE important than her CHILD’S NEEDS, the path to CHILD ABUSING (in my opinion) came SWIFTLY-So!
Casey did NOT do her OWN investigating, (after Caylee went missing)she was at Tony’s *Playing the house frau* game, she was at Fusion’s night club, and OTHER places, PARTYING IT UP…so WHERE WAS CAYLEE at these times? I would almost bet all I own, Caylee was chloroformed and IN the TRUNK of Casey’s car!
WHAT A HORRID DEPICTION, WHAT A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE for LITTLE CAYLEE to GO THRU’!!! I know that’s BASED on conjecture, or conclusion, but I base it on such thru’ KNOWN factors/facts!

It’s CAYLEE’S turn SOON to have HER VOICE HEARD and I believe the EVIDENCE will BE Caylee’s sweet voice crying out from Heaven’s Realm for Truth and Justice!

Wendy Shoeman   December 23rd, 2008 9:18 pm ET

It seems quite appropriate that Casey will be supported by the prison system. She certainly didn’t display any attempt at supporting herself and her child on the outside so its just fitting that she now will be taken care of on the inside. Any normal person that felt threatened or jealous of her mother or another person’s involvement with Calee would have sought independence.
The only time we have seen tears in when she speaks of herself wanting to be home.
I can’t belive how her parents pussy foot around her. Have they never taught this girl about “natural consequenses”?
I am a single mother that was very much involved with my relationship with my son but I always felt it was my duty to teach him to survive in the real world. I had to learn tuff love, ended a relationship knowing that my son and he were both at fault but would never consider choosing another person over my son. I’m alone now but at ease in my heart. By the way, my son is now 37 yrs old and I couldn’t be prouder. I always feel I made the right choice.

Art   December 24th, 2008 9:08 am ET

I just finished taking a survey on the Crime page of CNN and the question was if Casey should be allowed to go to Caylee’s funeral. 79% of the people that answered said no. By the law, Casey is guilty of nothing. I bet that made a lot of people frown, but it’s actually true. She is accused of multiple charges, but as of today she is guilty of none. I’ve read a lot of the write-ups that people have made and I have to agree with some of them, but in the legal world there is a presumption of innocence that can’t be overlooked. Does she have the right to be at the funeral? That’s a tough question since I am not working that case and have all the evidence before me to make a decision. Should she be there? That’s something that her conscience has to decide. I think that if she goes there, she will do more to disrupt the funeral service with outbreaks from hecklers, questions from the press, and that question, be it an assumption, of “how could she have”, that rests in the minds of those present to pay their respects.

Another question that I have been asked is whether Casey can get a fair trial in Orlando, or anywhere else for that matter. Jury selection will be extremely difficult and, in my opinion, will be painstaking. There has been so much media coverage that it will be difficult to sit an unbiased jury for the beginning of the trial. A juror has to come to the court room with a clear mind and only use the testimony given on the record as premise for their decision. It is hard to do.

I’ve also been asked what I thought. Well, all I can say is that it is going to be tough for Casey to come out of this. From what I see in the media she has done a lot to discredit herself from the beginning and that will make it trouble for the defense team. Do I think she is guilty? That is up to the court to decide.

Merry Christmas everybody….

To Nancy from Oklahoma: It did say in the investigative reports that Casey had claimed to some people that her brother had at some point in time pressured her to have sex with him.

Anonymous   December 28th, 2008 2:33 am ET

To Brandy: It has been proven that she DID NOT steal the money for any other reason than to go shopping, they have her on surveilance camera in Target using the check.

Kat McGuire, Kansas   December 28th, 2008 9:54 am ET

Casey opens her mouth and lies fall out. Period.

Her parents open their mouths and lies fall out. Period.

Conclusion; the apple did not fall far from the tree.

R I P Caylee, your an angel now.

charlene guier   December 29th, 2008 1:41 pm ET

i noticed casey isnt putting up much fight or protest after being banned from the funeral…IF she was innocent, she surely would be putting up more of a protest, i know if it was me who was in jail/her spot, and i WAS innocent of murdering my kid, i WOULD be raising cain to get to go to the funeral, even if i had to be escorted w/ deputys and wearing leg irons and handcuffs and prision issues…i WOULD want to say goodbye to my little girl, and tell her i was sorry for leaving her w/ someone who ulitmately did her in…AND YES I AM ONE OF THE 79% WHO SAID NO SHE SHOULD NOT BE ALLOWED TO GO.
“To Nancy from Oklahoma: It did say in the investigative reports that Casey had claimed to some people that her brother had at some point in time pressured her to have sex with him”= …but who knows if there is ANY truth to this claim? she very well could have made it up to get attention/ sympathy…and we all know how casey lies like a rug. also “To Brandy: It has been proven that she DID NOT steal the money for any other reason than to go shopping, they have her on surveilance camera in Target using the check.” i think this is VERY telling, not ONE single item for caylee, why? well she was DEAD! and casey KNEW IT!
just my opinion(s) here…

betty jo   December 29th, 2008 10:40 pm ET

If anyone can not see that Casey Anthony is a freaky, sleezy , sex crazy murderer, they need x-ray glasses.
I hope she gets lethal injection, but things are looking like she may walk!
How?
Why? could this happen?
The darling Caylee was more than likely suffocated by this Casey bitch, and she can’t walk, it is against the justice system for that to happen. The whole damn family has obstructed justice and needs to be charged, why not do it and get it over with.
By asking for immunity, its a proven guilt of the whole lot, and proves they did obstruct justice.
I hope soon little Caylee can have peace and a funeral to put her to rest.
God bless that child.

Dee   December 31st, 2008 11:30 am ET

My prayers, NOW include the JURY…I do hope they will SEE THROUGH the FINGER POINTING that the defense will do, trying to CONFUSE them (the jurors) into raising doubts…but their DUTY is in regard to REASONABLE DOUBT, not just any old kind of doubt!
I think it’s VERY REASONABLE to look at that CAR, and see that Casey NEVER claimed Zanni the nanny had KEYS to Casey’s car, Casey is the one who CLEARLY STATES that she LEFT the car parked at Amscot. Amscot employees say NO ONE tampered with the car. Towing company employees have a duty to keep cars safe, until or unless owners pick them up. George & the towing company’s attendant BOTH notice a HORRIBLE smell. George says inside to himself he KNOWS that’s the smell of a decomposed body, and hopes he doesn’t open the trunk to find his dead daughter or dead granddaughter in the trunk.
TESTING shows that IN THE TRUNK of CASEY’S CAR is a hair with a DEATH band on it, meaning the hair’s from a dead body.
TESTING shows that decomp in the trunk is from a dead body, and that there are VERY HIGH chloroform levels in the trunk of the car.
CASEY was the LAST one to have ACCESS to that car!
NO ANIMAL or remnants of a squirrel are found ANYwhere on/in or under the car (Casey CLAIMED/LIED and said she found a dead squirrel that MADE that smell)
It’s BEYOND Reasonable doubt to assume that ANYone else put a DEAD BODY in the car, except CASEY ANTHONY! Even if she put Caylee in the trunk of the car ALIVE, but chloroformed so that Casey could *party* and the poor li’l Caylee DIED from an overdose of chloroform, it’s still MURDER!
Any juror with ANY Common Sense I pray will SEE thru’ all the HIPE and FINGER POINTING, and CONCLUDE that if the hair with the DEATH BAND on it belonged to SOMEone in the Anthony family, on the MOTHER’S side, well, Cindy IS alive, Lee IS alive, Casey IS alive, therefore it’s REASONABLE to conclude that it’s Caylee’s hair, and that Caylee was DEAD in that trunk…
I pray jurors will LOOK at this ONE FACTOR that I believe erases ALL reasonable doubt!
I believe Casey Anthony KILLED her own daughter, I don’t believe in calling such an accident, but a malicious, cruel, aggravating action (chloroforming her own child) that resulted in the death of Caylee, for me IS Murder!
Rest in Peace, Sweet Little Child of God, Caylee…May the Jurors HEAR Your Voice for Truth and Justice sake!

Bobbi Lee   December 31st, 2008 1:19 pm ET

Let’s go back to the meter reader phoning four different times and describing the area where Caylee was eventually found…this is four different people that could have leaked this report/information to the private investigator and how he ended up going to the area and checking it for himself..loose lips spread tips and from August to December one or more of those hotline operators could of mentioned it several times to numerous people.

As for Casey not reporting her child missing for more then a month…it’s obvious that she researched decomposing bodies on the internet and time period for forensic evidence to not be available, and was waiting it out secretly away from her family.

John Lennon   January 3rd, 2009 9:15 am ET

I can`t see why anyone that committs murder can spend life in prison. What does that prove? It cost on an average of 35-40,000 dollars to keep, feed, & cloth these people for one year in prison. And who pays for that, US TAXPAYERS !!!! We`er paying for these dirtbags to kill people!!!! I don`t think they deserve the needle, that`s too easy, and what do they feel, nothing. I think they should be gassed, electricuted, or even hung. Casey needs to die and her family needs to pay for their part as well.

What a sick women to do this to her own beautiful baby. RIP beautiful CAYLEE.

Terri , Corning, Ca.   January 6th, 2009 4:22 pm ET

Well whomever Caylee’s daddy is , i am sure if he is alive, and definitely has heard this news for its been out there for over 6.5 Mo’s and knows he has been with Casey , he will realize it was his daughter that was Murdered…………

ERNIE   January 7th, 2009 9:21 am ET

as barbaric as it sounds?? torture the truth out of her– people will say seh has rights–what about poor little caylee’s rights– the rights to grow up and learn about life and enjoy being a child? the whole family is NUTS. i have a 4 year old grandson and if my daughter was responsible i could not stand by her side. all this nut did was remove the one thing that was keeping her from partying all day every day -using drugs -drinking-boinking every new guy she meets in a bar . you see the term “white trailer trash” casey’s picture should be right beside it. anyone notice that every time she cries she wipes away teh one tear with the little finger? if your daughter was missing or found dead? wouldn’t you shed more than one tear at a time? the tears are for not being able to party not for a lovely young child. in my opinion–this girl is up near the top of the list for “all time hated people” with other killers that either raped or tortured or made people suffer. this girl is making an entire nation suffer breaking everyone who has a young child–a heart or a conscience suffer. and dont even go there about the scum bag headline seeking attorneys. this one ets romantically involved with her? why because its “an easy” piece? well i dont shed any tears for anyone except taht sweet innocent young child.

sweetpeas62   January 7th, 2009 12:53 pm ET

If I recall correctly, Cindy Anthony promised that once little Caylee was found the family would be able to reveal evidence that would immediately clear Casey of all charges.

Well the time is here….we know where Caylee is.

Even the best novelists and writers couldn’t weave a story to tie up all the lies and stories that have been revealed so far!

God Bless you Caylee! I feel so sad knowing that you had the misfortune to be born into such a horrid family!

bill   January 7th, 2009 12:57 pm ET

We all know now that the remains of Caylee have been found. It is a shame that Casey still remains tight lipped. She needs to tell the truth and be done with it. she is going to spend the rest of her life in prison…where she rightfully belongs. As a mother she failed miserably and caused thed eath of he rown child, she needs now to honour her child in death by telling everything that happened and preserve the memory of such a precious child. She is making such a mockery of the legal system and making Caylee’s death seem like nothing. The entire population grieves for this child and her own mother sluffs it off, orders snacks and goodies for herself in the prison cell…listens to a radio as if she can tune out what she’s done. She needs to admit her guilt and let her family start to heal. I do pray the defense hurries along w/the 2nd autopsy so Caylee can be given a proper burial, it’s a shame her remains are lying in a box at a t funeral home because her mother has once again decided to think only of herself. Casey Anthony has a slime-ball team for her defense. The need to accept the ME’s conclusions, etc and quit trying to repeatedly cover up and make excuses for Casey, she knows she’s guilt, as does George/cindy and Lee…who may in someway be connected to this twisted but sad and tragic story.

Gary   January 7th, 2009 8:49 pm ET

lets take a closer look at lee and the parents.i belive that they have maniptulated the evidence and repeatedly lied to the f.b.i. instead of them being left out there too collect donations and money for the photos of there dead granddaughters courpse. lets get this family inditied for whatever crimes they have commitied.

amg   January 8th, 2009 1:18 am ET

the anthony case is very sad and tragic. however, i do believe casy should be allowed at the funeral…it would be like rubbing it in: the consequences if she is indeed guilty.
it is apparent in the photographs and videos of caylee and casy that they loved each other, and caylee does not appear to be an abused, but well taken care of child.
in some of the video/ pics of casy during caylees disaperance, casy does indeed look distraught, however, she seems to be able to put on a good show while partying.
do you know what it takes to make a sociopath/ pathological liar?
she has probably more than one personality disorder, and maybe also a mental illness.
poor casy is indeed a victim herself, and i pray for her for forgiveness that she was not open to the touch of the wisdom and love of the spirit of god,to make the right decisions for herself. that the drugs and drinking seriously made her screw up….put yourself in her shoes: you would have to be a seriously screwed up individual to committ such a henious crime, if she is guilty. can you imagine the pain and anguish casy has had to deal with? (i do not know her, but i know psychology, psychiatry and spiritual/ religous matters) she has been in pain, and is still in pain and her precious child got caught up in her pain. no one is purley evil….we all have good and bad in us, but it’s up to us what we choose to do.
i do think if she is guilty she should spend her life in prison, the death penalty is just an escape..i’m sure somewhere deep inside she already wishes she was dead. and we all respond diferently to difrent things because we all are unique individuals- our makeup determines that, no matter how stable or messed up each of us may be.
i think the death penalty should end period. instead, the prisioners should do something, anything productive to society: they could do slave work in a restricted enviroment, whatever. however they should live out their days in safty and agony for what they have done, and fed the minimum requirements…and i’m speaking about henious crimes here, prison crimes. i even think whipping themwith a horse whip would be ok if they got out of line.
but anyway, the anthonys are screwed up, no doubt about it. and i pray for all of them, i pray for a change for them. i pray that this negative situation be turned around and made into a positive one (power of thought and actions).
last but not least, i pray that casy be saved from the eternal fires of hell (she is living hell right now, believe me)…and this indeed can be done. how sweet would that be? she can still be saved, she can still be changed, it’s all up to her, and she needs some serious guidence and treatment in a psychiatric facility.
you have to understand people snap, but that is no excuse, there should be consequences fitting the crime. the light will come.
peace.

Check Lee DNA as far as the father goes

Cassandra McMillan   January 8th, 2009 8:31 am ET

I believe that the dad and the mom are very much aware who that little girl real dad is. I do not believe it the brother. This is why they can not be forthcoming with the truth. For example, why would a grandmother give the FBI the wrong hairbrush? If the grandmother truly wanted to find her missing granddaughter she would have made sure that the FBI had what ever they need. The mother and father know more about little Caylee disappearance than they are telling.

There is not doubt in my mind that Casey Anthony is guilty. She can not show any emotions because she knows what she has done. She tires to make herself cry. I pray every night that God will touch her heart and left the truth come out. Casey will never have peace as long as she lives. Caylee was a precious, beautiful little girl and did not deserve what has happen to her.

As a mother of two, I recall when my oldest child during Christmas time in 1995 walk away from me in River chase Mall, in Birmingham; I began to cry, scream and just began begging everyone to help me find him. The Security Office at River chase Mall did not let any leave the Mall until my son was found. I Thank God, he was stand about four feet from me, and I was so glad to see him, I hug him so tight he said mommy I can’t breath, I was just so glad to have him back I just could not let go.

Annabelle   January 8th, 2009 10:40 am ET

I am not here to judge the Anthony’s but I would like to say Caylee has stolen my heart from day one of this story, God rest her little soul.

D   January 8th, 2009 10:47 am ET

This is so sad. It is so crazy that idiots like Casey Anthony and Scott Peterson think the rest of the world is so stupid…Casey Anthony is the biggest pathological liar she must have gone to the same liar school as Scott P. Anyway this is just so sad, and I am wondering how in the world anyone could think she didn’t do it? If you think she didn’t kill her daughter then you are the exact type of stupid person she (Casey) is hoping is listening to her BS stories….as for Cindy Anthony, that lady is out of her mind and just as bad a liar as her daughter. Poor George Anthony is just a beat down husband who obviously has no say or control in his house hold. It pains me to watch him speak, you can tell he knows what happened. Bless his poor stupid soul. Put Cindy, Lee and Casey in jail!

Ramona   January 8th, 2009 11:12 am ET

This case is very strange. Like some of the comments about family incest. If you look at Lee the brother, he appears very defensive and angry at the memorial the community put up. But very oddly he was not a part of the search or a spokesman for his family, Also not providing DNA or prints? It does not make sense. And no father listed on the birth certificate? Casey seems like the type that wanted money, surley child support from some schmuck? and Mom Cindy would be all for that, she is a control freak. I will bet the DNA will prove some dark family secret, and I only pray for justice for this innocent victim of a lying pathetic family. It is the sickest story I have ever seen, and if the family lied about their involvement in any of it, they rot in jail, as death penalty is no option for this kind of scum.

Sumi   January 9th, 2009 9:56 am ET

I agree with you all that Lee is the father. It would explain his bizarre and secretive behavior….Would also explain the way that George and Cindy have been acting…definitely not justifiable, as Caylee is a baby and should have been protected at ALL costs…even the chance of her paternity being made known.

I do hope Law Enforcement has seen what we see and will do a paternity test on Lee. Sure would fill in some of the holes in this case.

Some mothers can barely go on with life after losing a child they lose the will to live. Look at her reaction and behavior after the death of her sweet baby girl. I believe God will give her a special punishement as great as how special her baby girl was.

this is sad that a child lost her life and for what. I still think the mother is guilty because she lied about a babysitter, did not report her missing, the whole corpse smell in the car, and other things as well. I think in the trial she will be found guilty and justice will be done, but that poor girl can not ever get her life back because she had that woman as a mother.

I think maybe the brother Rick is that father, because she is very reluctant to name a father and always telling people that someone different is the father. Also when they went to his wedding and he seen she was pregnant he was really shocked and pulled his parents aside to confront them about her pregancy and ask them questions and his parents told him she was not pregnant and she was only getting fat. Well two months later she had a baby. And they look pretty close in some other pictures after that. Also Casey wanted to give the baby away for adoption to a friend but her parents would not let her. So her is my opinion!!!

Casey Anthony does not know what the word “truth” means, for she proably has been lying half of her life!! It sickens me to think that this thing they call a Mother had such a beautiful child, when there are women out there that would give up everything to be a Mother. I have no pity for her, and I hope and pray that the Justice system finds her guilty, and that she never sees another day of daylight.
