That other guy

Posted: 01:23 PM ET

NEW YORK - So let's take a little test. Do you have any idea who this man is? Probably not.

And even if you do, you likely know him as one of those guys caught up in that whole OJ Simpson mess, which is okay I guess. Unless you are this man, the last remaining co-defendant in the O.J. Simpson case.

Together with Mr. Simpson, C.J. Stewart faces life in prison if he is convicted of kidnapping and armed robbery. And now the Nevada Supreme Court has denied Stewart’s request to be tried separately or at least delay the start of the trial. And with all due respect to the court, I think it’s the wrong decision. Because it will be impossible for Stewart to get a fair sitting next to Simpson, an NFL hall of fame, an actor and an ad pitch man who was acquitted all those years ago for murder.

But never fear Mr. Stewart. O.J. has a pretty good record in criminal court. He's three for three. So maybe some of that good fortune will rub off. And if it doesn't, C.J. Stewart will have a winner of an issue on appeal. And that's the Last Word.

Hello Jamie ! I sometimes don't get to hear the verdict or the their in the Fitzgerld case. Is it automatically going to be retried? We know by the testimony that their was gap on bothe sides. I do hope it is retried, as I do with that guy with the silly hair styles , who also wrote songs way back in the day. Thanks for you time Mrs Floyd.

It is time for CNN announcers to own up to being for one party or the other. It is so bad that we see them as not affiliated...from now on please start out as I'm a (what ever party person and here is my take on this subject. The sound bits then will seem more in tune with there views. To date your journalism is very poor.

Senator Mccain is saying today that he is a fighter of corruption. Why isn'tt anyone mentioning that he was a member of the origional Keating five? Remember his close friend and business partner Charles Keating ?(they purchased a shopping mall togethter), who spent 5 years in prison.
