Jurors to view Massachusetts crime scene today

Posted: 09:10 AM ET

WOBURN, Massachusetts–Testimony continues today in the trial of Sean Fitzpatrick, accused of murdering Michael Zammitti, Jr. and Chester Roberts in 2006. But did Fitzpatrick really kill Zammitti and Roberts because he was in love with Zammitti’s wife, as prosecutors contend? Or – as Fitzpatrick claims – did authorities simply arrest the wrong man?

This morning, Sgt. Robert Manning of the Massachusetts State Police, will continue his direct examination. On Friday, Manning testified that he was on his way to work at the Middlesex County District Attorney's office on March 13, 2006 when he received a call to respond to the scene of the shootings.

At 11:30 am ET, jurors will be taken to Wakefield, Massachusetts to see the Allstate Concrete Pumping Company, where the murders took place.

Fitzpatrick, 46, has pleaded not guilty. The trial is being broadcast live on In Session.

I believe that following the instructions to the jury concerning the view......it was the court officers who were sworn concerning the trip.

I could not help wondering why Michelle Zimmitti after being told that her husband is dead she wants to call and make sure Sean Fitzpatrick is ok.

I thought that too when I first heard her say that, but then when they played it back what she actually said was she wanted to call Sean to see if he was home. I think her first thoughts were that he killed her husband.

Has anyone seen a photo of the two victims? InSession ALWAYS shows photos ad nauseum of the "subjects" of the trials. Where is Michael Zammitti's photo????
