WOBURN, Massachusetts – Day three of jury selection concluded without a panel selected in the case of Neil Entwistle, charged with the murder of his 27-year-old wife, Rachel, and their baby daughter inside their Massachusetts home in January 2006. The court seated 9 jurors before exhausting the available pool. This morning, 70 more potential jurors will fill out questionnaires and then be individually questioned by Judge Diane Kottmyer. The Commonwealth has exercised 5 of its 16 peremptory challenges and the defense has exercised all but one. Wednesday, defense attorney Elliot Weinstein again argued for a dismissal and a change of venue after a potential juror told the court that she heard other potential jurors say Entwistle “should be fried” and “send him away.” Opening statements are not expected before Friday morning. – In Session staff Filed under: Dad accused of killing family Trials |
