I, too, believe JP. And I agree that fear will make one react for survival and not always with good sense. But, for the sake of argument, if JP was guilty of murder, then it would be more likely he suffers from a mental disorder. Sadly, this country has closed all long term mental health facilities and the result is a society filled with mentally ill people (many of the homeless we see--before the massive economy downfall--are mentally ill) who are being denied proper medical care and, thus, the jails are filled with people who should be treated in mental health facilities. Jail is not the right place for JP. He will not get the help he needs in jail. He was a teenager at the time of the killing, and should have been tried as a juvenile. Also, the expert psychiatrist should have been allowed to testify on behalf of JP's mental state of mind. There was no fairness in this trial. As far as Alex, his fear of the unknown (possible jury verdict for life in prison) may have made him take a plea deal (and a lousy one at that) he will probably live to regret. It is a well known medical/scientific fact that the part of the adolescent brain that processes logic and common sense does not fully develop until age 25-30. Somehow, society needs to help our kids, not give up on them.

I just want to say, JP is not guilty. I watched the trial and heard his side of the story today, give him a metal and set him FREE he did all of us a favor ok...He is a brave young man. Am I the only one that can see that, I believe him when he said Dan just dropped by, he wasn't invited there, and I think JP looked up to Dan in the beginning and then seen what a monster he was to himself and his friends and he was affraid for his life, with Dan waving a gun around and making threats to his friend Alex, JP acted in self defense, he did what any normal person would have done, he has been in jail 2 years now, let that young man go free. He was affraid for his life after killing Dan because he thought Dans cousins or the Mafia would kill him and his family. People of the jury, wake up, think about this, what would you have done in that situation? Fear will make a person do things that they would not normally do. Have understanding for this young man, get him counsiling and help, remember he has to live with what he did for the rest of his life, thats something he will never forget, is that not enough for his young mind to have to deal with. Please, Let it be the Lords will for you the jury to give him probation and counciling. Thank You..Bonnie Mitchell...Alabama

OT >PLEASE POST the verdicts of the trials you have been following.
I love watching you shows but become very frustrated when I miss the verdict after days of following a trial.

Thank you

I would appreciation getting the verdicts on "in session" trials. Time does not me to see the whole show every day. If this can be done the beginning of the next day after the verdict one would get what the verdict was.

I cannot believe that 3 minutes before the verdict, Court TVgoes off the air!! Outrageous to the viewers!! Not good television.
Also, in the past , other very important pieces of the trials are missing , Scott Peterson, Margeret Rudin,, Phil Spector and etc.
IfCourt Tv wants viewers than give us the ENTIRE trial , not just three hours.
I am ,going to think about whether I am going to continue to watch your programing.
Shame on you guys!!!!

They were so stupid, have they never learned that death is forever. I think that JP is a spoiled rotten child, he treats his parents without respect. While on the stand during the trial he spoke to the attorneys, like a punk, and showed lack of respect. Just so very dissapointing for so many young men.
